Abstract

This study aims to identify strategic issues in Islamic education related to digital globalization and to analyze the challenges, opportunities, and character-strengthening strategies that can be implemented in the modern era. The method used is a literature review with a systematic approach following the PRISMA guidelines (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses). The literature selection process was conducted using the Publish or Perish application with the keywords “Digital Globalization,” “Islamic Education,” and “Character Strengthening.” From 100 collected articles, 50 were screened, and finally, 10 main journals were identified as highly relevant for in-depth analysis. The findings indicate that digital globalization presents serious challenges to Islamic education, including a moral crisis among the younger generation, the overwhelming flow of information that may cause distortion in religious understanding, and the growing dependence on technology that could weaken the role of teachers and Islamic educational institutions as moral exemplars. However, digital globalization also provides significant opportunities such as the development of interactive learning models, technology-based da’wah access, and efficiency in Islamic education management. Character-strengthening strategies are crucial to address these dynamics. Integrating moral, spiritual, and digital literacy values into the curriculum, utilizing technology in a guided manner, and fostering synergy among families, schools, and communities are strategic steps in shaping a generation of Muslims who are adaptive, critical, and possess noble character. Thus, digital globalization can serve as a momentum for transforming Islamic education toward a more modern, relevant, and character-oriented system.

Abstract

Abstract

The prevalence of leftover medicines that are still stored in households is still quite high, including people still storing medicines that have expired. Children are a vulnerable age group who often receive compounded and non-compounded medicines. The purpose of this study was to compare the attitudes of the two groups of mothers towards leftover compounded drugs and non-compunded drugs with assessment aspects namely storage of leftover drugs, reuse, and re-examination. This research is a quantitative-analytical research, non-experimental, with a cross-sectional design used in this study. Data was obtained from mothers of children who received treatment, carried out by guided interviews using an interview instrument containing 8 statements. The data was then processed statistically using the Chi Square test. The results showed that the age of most respondents was in the range of 26-35 years, the most recent education being high school, and as housewives, and using insurance. The percentage of respondents who showed a positive attitude on the aspects of remaining drug storage, reuse, re-examination in the compunded group (97.5%; 95%; 98.8%) showed a higher percentage than the non-compounded group (86.2%; 85% ; 97.5%). Both groups showed significant differences in aspects of leftover drug storage and reuse.

Abstract

This article examines the strategic role of School Self-Evaluation (SSE) in strengthening a sustainable quality culture in educational institutions. The main objective of this study is to analyze how SSE functions as an internal quality assurance mechanism capable of identifying institutional strengths and weaknesses while guiding continuous improvement efforts. Using a literature review method, this article synthesizes research findings, policy documents, and theoretical perspectives related to educational quality, quality assurance systems, and school-based evaluation practices. The results indicate that SSE provides schools with valid and comprehensive data for decision-making, supports evidence-based planning, and promotes collaborative reflection among school stakeholders. Furthermore, SSE contributes to the development of a sustainable quality culture by embedding consistent monitoring, evaluation, and follow-up actions within school management processes. However, challenges such as limited evaluator competence, insufficient understanding of instruments, and resistance to change may hinder its optimal implementation. The findings imply that capacity building, stakeholder involvement, and policy support are essential to maximize the impact of SSE on school quality improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the integration of authentic assessment into learning evaluation as a strategic effort to strengthen school quality assurance. This research employed a library research design by systematically reviewing relevant books, nationally accredited journals, reputable international journals, and educational policy documents. Data were analysed using content analysis techniques to identify conceptual patterns related to authentic assessment, learning evaluation, and school quality assurance systems. The findings indicate that authentic assessment plays a significant role in providing comprehensive, valid, and meaningful data on students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor competencies. Its integration into learning evaluation supports both internal and external quality assurance systems by enhancing accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement in schools. Furthermore, authentic assessment encourages reflective teaching practices, strengthens evidence-based decision-making, and aligns learning outcomes with real-world competencies. The implications of this study suggest that schools need to systematically institutionalize authentic assessment within their evaluation policies as part of a sustainable quality assurance culture. This study contributes theoretically to the development of educational quality assurance models and practically to improving evaluation practices in schools.

Abstract

The uneven distribution of educational quality in Indonesia remains a serious challenge, particularly due to the inconsistent implementation of the National Education Standards (SNP) across regions. This disparity impacts the quality of learning, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), which demands both academic achievement and character building. This study aims to analyze the role of educational quality assurance certification institutions in improving PAI quality through monitoring, coaching, and evaluation mechanisms. The method used was a qualitative study based on a literature review, with data sources consisting of regulations, institutional reports, and national and international scientific publications. The results indicate that certification institutions play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with quality standards, providing mentoring, and strengthening the integration of spiritual values in PAI learning. However, implementation gaps between regions and variations in audit quality were identified that need to be addressed. This study concludes that PAI quality assurance requires a holistic approach encompassing both academic and spiritual aspects. The contribution of this research lies in strengthening educational quality assurance theory and in developing a new understanding of the integration of Islamic values into certification mechanisms.
