Abstract

The phenomenon of citizenship transfer that occurs at this time is evidence of a lack of love for the country, this is one of the impacts of technological development and globalisation. The generation born in the digital era is known as generation Z, which is a generation that is very vulnerable to influences from other countries. This article aims to describe the role of State Defense Education on the Attitude of Love for the Homeland in generation Z. The research method used is Mix Method, Data collection using quantitative methods is to see the relationship between state defense education on the attitude of love for the homeland in generation Z which is analysed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the Chi Square test with 266 respondents. While qualitative data collection is to see the description of how the role of state defence education on the attitude of patriotism in generation Z through observation and in-depth interviews with 10 research informants. The results showed that more than half (59%) of the respondents had a negative attitude towards the homeland, less than half (46.6%) of the respondents had never received state defence education. Based on the results of the Chi Squere test, it is found that there is a relationship between state defence education and the attitude of loving the country of generation Z with a P-Value of 0.0001. And based on the findings of the researchers, it is found that many generation Z at this time have a negative attitude of love for the country because of the many spectacles from abroad caused by the easy access that generation Z has due to technological developments. Therefore, in order to increase the sense of love for the country owned by generation Z, it is necessary for the government to make policies to be able to provide systematic state defence education to the younger generation.

Abstract

The background of the research is the less-than-optimal management of waste in the environmental service. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the Environmental Service in managing waste in Kerinci Regency. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive approach, with data sourced from primary data and secondary data. We determined the informants through purposive sampling. We collected data through observation, interviews, and documentation. We analysed the data using data reduction, data display, and drew conclusions. The results of the study indicate that: The role of the environmental service in managing waste in Kerinci Regency is the expected component (Expected Role). The Environmental Service of Kerinci Regency, as the agency responsible for waste management, seeks to overcome the increase in waste volume by reducing the volume of waste from its source through community empowerment. The Environmental Service of Kerinci Regency fulfils the elements of its actual role. The Environmental Service of Kerinci Regency carries out its role in utilising waste by forming a waste bank.

Abstract

Multicultural education and local wisdom function as crucial social assets in promoting unity within diverse societies. Indonesia, a country rich in ethnic diversity, possesses abundant local wisdom, particularly within the Minangkabau community of West Sumatra. This study examines the integration of Minangkabau local wisdom into the core elements of multicultural education, focusing on areas such as cultural awareness, sensitivity, cross-cultural communication, critical thinking, reflection, and cultural competence. Grounded in Vygotsky’s theory of learning as a process of social and cultural adaptation, this research adopts a qualitative methodology, utilizing in-depth interviews and focus group discussions for data collection. The analysis, carried out through coding, data reduction, and interpretation, focuses on the Minangkabau community in Sungai Sirah Village, Silaut District, a transmigration area in West Sumatra. The findings reveal that the Minangkabau community’s approach to multicultural education is deeply embedded in an awareness of the importance of active participation in multicultural settings. This process is reinforced by the leadership of local figures and enriched by the community’s historical, economic, and cultural heritage. The study offers valuable insights for developing a comprehensive model of multicultural education that can be applied in both formal and informal contexts, ultimately fostering social cohesion and inclusivity.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) at SMP Negeri 1 Gunung Talang. The research was driven by limited dissemination and understanding of the independent learning curriculum, particularly regarding P5. The objective of this research is to analyze the implementation of P5, identify challenges encountered during its execution, and explore strategies to address these challenges. This study employs a qualitative research approach with a descriptive method. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, and data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data validity was ensured using triangulation of sources, while analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that P5 is implemented for grade VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Gunung Talang. However, challenges include insufficient socialization of the program, difficulties in developing project modules, and issues in allocating time for project execution. To address these issues, the school has conducted teacher training on the P5 framework within the independent learning curriculum and facilitated discussions among teachers involved in class projects to refine time management strategies. Future studies should explore the long-term impacts of P5 implementation on student character development and academic performance. Additionally, research could investigate the integration of P5 across different grade levels to assess its broader applicability and effectiveness. Quantitative studies measuring the correlation between teacher training effectiveness and project outcomes would also provide valuable insights. Furthermore, examining the role of parental involvement and community support in enhancing P5 implementation may offer a more comprehensive understanding of its success factors.

Abstract

This research was driven by issues related to the national character of students at Darussalam Aur Duri Sumani Islamic Boarding School, where students from diverse regions live and interact daily. The focus of the research is on the implementation of national character education, especially in an environment prone to misunderstandings, indiscipline, and dishonesty. The study aims to describe the form of national character education, the factors influencing its implementation, and its impact on students, focusing on four core values: religiosity, discipline, honesty, and friendship. This qualitative research uses descriptive methods with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research involves primary and secondary data sources, and purposive sampling for selecting informants, with data validity tested through source triangulation. Data analysis followed stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Findings indicate that the pesantren addresses character issues by implementing habits that promote these values, including religious practices, discipline, honesty, and friendship. The factors influencing this implementation are the objectives of the pesantren, its learning environment, and the students' conditions. The impact of this education is evident in the development of positive personalities, enhanced kinship, and improved politeness in language. Limitations of this research include its focus on only one pesantren, limiting its generalizability, and the lack of exploration into external factors influencing character education.

Abstract

This study explores the application of technology-based learning media in Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) for eleventh-grade students at SMA N 1 Lubuk Basung, Agam Regency, West Sumatra. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, while analysis followed the steps of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Findings indicate that technology-based media have been integrated into PPKn instruction in this classroom, with teachers skillfully managing their use despite challenges. Key obstacles include time required for device setup, limited Wi-Fi access, and student-reported issues, such as distracting shadows on PPT slides, unclear text, and low video volume. To address these challenges, teachers take measures such as preparing media in advance to maximize instructional time, providing alternative media options if needed, ensuring internet access through personal mobile data for hotspotting, incorporating student feedback into media evaluation, and participating in school-provided training on effective technology use in teaching. This research is limited to only one school in Agam Regency, West Sumatra, so the same problems may not be found in other places, for example in urban areas, obstacles such as internet access are not a major problem.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peranan pembimbing akademik dalam pembinaan disiplin siswa, kendala yang dihadapi pembimbing akademik, upaya pembimbing akademik dalam mengatasi kendala menanamkan pembinaan disiplin siswa. Jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Pemilihan informan penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Jenis data terdiri dari data primer dan data sekunder, dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Teknik analisis data melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peranan pembimbing akademik dalam pembinaan disiplin siswa di SMP Negeri 15 Padang yaitu bertanggungjawab terhadap siswa bimbingannya, bekerjasama dengan guru BK dalam penyelesaian masalah, memotivasi siswa untuk dapat mematuhi semua ketentuan sekolah, menjalin komunikasi dengan wali murid tentang kemajuan siswa bimbingan. Kendala yang dihadapi pembimbing akademik yaitu karakter siswa yang berbeda-beda, sulitnya guru mengatur waktu antara kewajiban mengajar dan memperhatikan siswa bimbingan, sulit dalam bekerjasama dengan orang tua siswa, kurangnya reward dari pihak sekolah. Upaya untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut yaitu berupaya memahami karakter siswa bimbingannya, membuat jadwal yang tepat untuk bertemu siswa bimbingannya, membuat jadwal yang tepat untuk bertemu siswa, bekerja sama dengan sekolah untuk menghadiri orang tua kesekolah, serta bersikap ikhlas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi gerakan sekolah menyenangkan dalam pembelajaran PPKn di SMK Negeri 6 Padang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber. Berdasarkan informasi dari beberapa informan penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa impelentasi gerakan sekolah menyenangkan yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu suasana dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran, menggunakan metode bervariasi, guru sebagai model dan fasilitator, penggunaan IT, dan kebijakan sekolah yang memihak siswa dan guru. Dengan adanya implementasi ini, terdapat kendala-kendala yaitu guru ditantang untuk menunjukan kenerja yang maksimal, kurang biaya dalam pengadaan alat-alat dalam menunjang kegiatan pembelajaran, jam mengajar guru yang banyak. Dengan adanya kendala-kendala ini, Guru PPKn mengupayakan beberapa hal untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut, diantaranya mengikuti pelatihan lokakarya pembelajaran PPKn, menggunakan biaya iuran kelas dan ketersediaan alat-alat oleh guru PPKn, dan kolaborasi dengan tenaga pendidik lain atau staff pendidik.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk pembinaan karakter moral siswa dan mendeskripsikan dampak dari adanya pembinaan karakter moral siswa melalui Projek Profil Pelajar Pancasila dengan tema bangunlah jiwa dan raganya di SMA N 1 Koto Balingka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk pembinaan dari kegiatan bertema bangunlah jiwa dan raganya yaitu adanya penguatan nilai-nilai pancasila dengan kegiatan gotong royong dan pembiasaan perilaku positif, pelatihan keterampilan dan pembentukan karakter moral. Adapun dampak dari pembinaan karakter moral siswa melalui projek profil pelajar pancasila dengan tema bangunlah jiwa dan raganya di SMA N 1 Koto Balingka yaitu adanya motivasi dalam diri siswa terhadap pentingnya berpartisipasi dalam gotong royong, dan siswa mampu berkolaborasi dan kerjasama dengan terlibat satu kegiatan Projek Profil Pelajar Pancasila.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi guru dalam mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai profil pelajar pancasila dalam pembelajaran praktik di SMKN 8 Padang dan untuk mengidentifikasi hambatan dan tantangan yang dihadapi guru dalam pelaksanaan penanaman nilai-nilai profil pelajar pancasila melalui pembelajaran praktik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun informan dalam penelitian ini ditentutkan secara purposive sampling dan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik Analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pelaksanaan penanaman nilai-nilai profil pelajar pancasila sudah terlaksana didalam pembelajaran praktik membatik tidak hanya didalam kelas. Sekolah juga mendukung pelaksanaan nilai-nilai profil pelajar pancasila dengan menggunakan metode yang dimasukan kedalam alur tujuan pembelejaran/tujuan pembelajaran melalui modul pembelajaran praktik. Adapun hambatan dan tantangan yang dihadapi guru yaitu keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana, keterbatasan dukungan dari lingkungan rumah dan menegakkan aturan secara konsisten.
