Abstract

The upstream of Kamparwatershed represent the part of Siak Watershed in the Province ofRiau which has been degradated.This research aims to determine the location, wide, anddegree of the land criticality according to the erosion hazard level in the upstream ofKampar watershed. So the research can determine the way, type, and priorities ofwatershed management. This research used survey method and laboratory analysis of soilsamples. The survey was done by observing the land use and conservation applied to theland unit. The data collected were rainfall, soil characteristics, slopes, crop management,and land conservation techniques. The obtained data were analyzed using the USLEformulation to define the erosion hazard level of the upstream Kampar watershed. Theresults found that the erosion of the upstream Kampar watershedis in the high category.The best practices to reduce the level of erosion hazard in the upstream Kampar watershedare improving the crop management and land conservation techniques in an integratedmanner on each land unit.

Abstract

Abstract. This descriptive research was conducted at Rantau Kopar village, Rokan Hilir District from January to June 2017. The reason for this study is due to the drastic declining of biodiversity of fish species at Rangau river despite the existence the local wisdom to protect the watershed in the area. It is aimed to discover the perspectives local wisdom in preventing the decreasing of fish biodiversity at Rangau river. The employed sampling technique was snowball technic sampling which involved 30 respondents. The primary data were obtained using observation and interview; the secondary data (documents). Data consist of community composition, livelihood, community participation in preserving the local wisdom, the synergy between the local wisdom and the policies of the local administration. The data were computed in percentage and were analyzed descriptively. The findings demonstrated that the local wisdom was compiled by the local community whose livelihood as fishermen. Conversely, in 2017, the local people did not comply with both sanction and the local customary law, there had been careless exploitation of the water across the watershed to be oil palm plantation area and the increasing number of oil palm farmers. This study concludes that the main threat facing the local wisdom is that the policies of local administration are not synergic with the local wisdom as stipulated in the regulations and conservation of the area across the watershed of Rangau. The implication of this study is used for the supplementary materials for the bioetnomalay subject in the Indonesian education

Abstract

This study aims to determine students’ science process skills after using the guided discovery model assisted by the virtual PhET lab on vibration and wave materials and the effectiveness of applying the guided discovery learning model assisted by the virtual PhET lab. This research was conducted at a junior high school, SMPN 2 Siak. The research method used is quasi-experimental with a posttest-only control group design. The sample of this study is the experimental class and the control class. Each class has 33 students. The research data was obtained by using a science process skill test instrument. The results showed that the average process skills of the experimental class = 76.76 and the control class = 57.23. The results of the t-test using SPSS software were obtained with (sig) 0.000 < 0.05 . It was concluded that the guided discovery learning model assisted by the virtual lab PhET was more effectively used to improve students’ process skills.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a real impact in various fields of life, one of which is education. Learning activities that are carried out directly for a moment are converted into an online system that utilizes various applications that support distance learning such as the Madrasah E-learning application developed by the Ministry of Religion. MA Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru is one of the madrasas that uses Madrasah E-learning applications in the learning process. The method used in this study is a descriptive method which aims to create a systematic, factual and accurate description of the facts on the phenomena being investigated. Data collection techniques used are observation and interviews. The purpose of the research in this article is to find out how to use E-Learning Madrasas and find out the advantages and disadvantages of the E-learning application at MA Darul Hikmah. In using the E-learning application, there are main features in the madrasa E-learning application, namely online classes, teacher sharing and madrasa community forums, so that it can support the learning process at MA Darul Hikmah to be effective and systematic. Another advantage is that there are six access roles, namely madrasa operators, subject teachers, counseling guidance teachers, homeroom teachers, students and supervisors, so that all parties in the school have their respective roles in the online learning process. Abstract

This study aims to develop learning tools using the Inquiry Training model on Harmonic Vibration material. The learning tools developed are RPP, LKPD, and Concept Understanding Tests. The research method used is Research and development (R&D) to produce products and test the effectiveness of these products, in this case in the form of learning tools. Research design uses the 4D model, namely Define, Design, Development and Dissemination. The data collection technique was validated by a validator consisting of three people, namely, two supervising lecturers and one discussing lecturer. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that the average validity-2 Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), Student Worksheets (LKPD), and concept understanding tests were 3.43 very high categories with validity criteria, namely valid. The results of the validity-2 RPP were 3.42 very high categories with validity criteria namely valid, the results of the validity-2 LKPD were 3.52 very high categories with validity criteria namely valid, and the results of the validity-2 concept understanding test were 3.36 very categories high with the criteria of validity that is valid. Based on the results of the data analysis obtained from the research conducted, it can be concluded that the development of learning tools oriented to the Inquiry Training learning model on SMA harmonic vibration material was declared valid by the validator with the results obtained in validation-2 being in the very high category and can be used as material teach in the learning process in schools.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the differences in student learning outcomes who apply learning using simple media and conventional learning on dynamic electrical material. This research uses a quasi-experimental design, with a posttest-only control group design. The sample in this research were students from Brawijaya I and Brawijaya II IX classes at Taruna Sakti Middle School. Multiple choice questions with a total of 18 questions were the data collection method used in this research. In carrying out descriptive analysis, data analysis methods include analysis of calculating the mean, median, mode, and standard deviation. Student learning outcomes in classes that use simple media show a high category with an average of 74.95, while classes that take part in conventional learning reach the sufficient category with an average of 63.38. Thus, it shows that there are differences in the learning outcomes of students who apply learning using simple media and those who apply conventional learning.

Abstract

One of the physics materials that is included in the abstract category is optical devices, especially the process of light entering the eye through a lens that cannot be seen directly by humans. The use of learning media combined with virtual reality is an alternative problem by providing visualization of material that becomes concrete in 3D or can be seen in 360°, making it easier for teachers and students in the learning process. This research aims to determine the feasibility of virtual reality-based learning media for optical devices in order to increase understanding of concepts in optical equipment, especially eyes and glasses. Validity testing is carried out by validating the learning media by experts and practicality testing is carried out by testing the media on teachers and high school students. The results of the research show that the average value of the validity test for virtual reality-based learning media reached 87% with valid criteria and while the practicality test by teachers and students obtained an average score of 90% by teachers and 89% by students with practical criteria so that the media Virtual reality-based learning is suitable for use to help the learning process in schools. Based on the validity and practicality analysis, the media can be used in real learning processes and can be tested further regarding its effectiveness.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe teaching-learning interaction in teaching physics by applying cooperative teaching in terms of the type of group investigation by the first-year students at SMAN 1 Tambang Kampar. The research instrument used in this research was observation sheet. It was used by aspect observed based on cooperative teaching in terms of the type of group investigation. The model aims to motivate the student, to set the problem in the group, to report the result of group activities, and conclude the lesson. The technic of data collection was by observing teaching-learning interaction, which happened in each aspect observed every two minutes during the teaching process. The data analysis was by counting the percentage of teaching-learning interaction. The result of this research showed that the interaction of teaching-learning between teachers and students, students and teachers, students, and students happened to each step in teaching activity. The highest percentage of teaching-learning interaction was in the problem-solving of group activity. Hence, cooperative teaching in term of the type of group investigation is able to create teaching-learning interaction which various in teaching.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop high order thinking skillsworkheet in momentum, impulse, and collision topic for senior high schoolThis type of research is Research and Development  follow 4D models,includes : define, design, develop and disseminate. Data collectioninstruments used validation sheets for given to 5 validator, Aspects assessedinclude graphic, presentation, language, and the contents of workheet. Basedon the result of data analysis showed that all aspects got average score in therange of 3.4 to 4 with categories of  very high. Thus, high order thinkingskills was valid. For the purposes of testing the worksheet is given on 68students. to measure the effectiveness of worksheet used  Higher LevelThinking Ability Test that amounts to 12 items.
