Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed to determine the improvement of students' concept understanding by the application of scaffolding learning strategy. The type of this study was quasy experiment with intact group comparison design. The population in this study were the X grade students of SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru which consisted of 4 classes. 2 classes were chosen as the sample of study as experiment and control class based on normality and homogenity tests. The data was collected by giving the test of concept understanding which were consisted of 7 questions based on the indicators of concept understanding. The data was analized by descriptive and inferential analysis. The result of this study showed that there was a significant difference toward the ability of concept understanding between control class which was applied scaffolding learning strategy and control class which was taugh by conventional learning. The concept understanding of experiment class' students were higher than control class. It can be concluded that the scaffolding learning strategy could improve the students' concept understanding.Keywords: Scaffolding learning stategy, concept understanding, momentum, impulse and collision.

Abstract

Abstract: To improve the quality of learning and improve student’s cognitiveabilities in experimental activities, teachers can use various supporting media, forexample by using an E-LKPD based on virtual laboratory. The use of E-LKPD based onvirtual laboratory in physics learning is very important, considering the lowopportunity for students to be able to carry out practical activities due to limitedpracticum facilities and infrastructure. E-LKPD based on virtual laboratory in thisstudy was developed on the material of Traveling Waves and Standing Waves for HighSchool Students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using E-LKPDbased on virtual laboratory in learning activities to improve student’s cognitivelearning outcomes. This type of research is quantitative using experimental researchmethods and Quasi Eksperimental Design in the form of Nonequivalent Control GroupDesign. The population used in this study were all students of class XI MIPA SMAN 1Kepenuhan with 84 students spread over three classes. The sample in this study usedtwo classes, class XI MIPA 2 with 27 students called as Experiment class and class XIMIPA 3 with 28 students called as Control class which were selected based on theresults of the normality test and homogeneity test. From the results of the study, it canbe concluded that there is an effect of using E-LKPD based on virtual laboratory oncognitive learning outcomes students of SMAN 1 Kepenuhan, so that the use of E-LKPDbased on virtual laboratory can improve cognitive learning outcomes of XI high schoolstudents. Abstract

Abstract: The research aimed to determine the increase in students’ communicative character through the implementation of Snowball Throwing learning model on the states of matter and the density. The research subjects were 38 students in class VII7 SMPN 20 Pekanbaru. The design of this research was a pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection Instruments in this research was students' communicative character questionnaire consisting of 17 Statements. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and improvement N-gain. The results showed increase on communicative character descriptor is 0,37 with predicate medium. So, it can be concluded that science physics learning applying Snowball Throwing learning model effective to improve the students' communicative character in calss VII7 SMP 20 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Communicative Character, Snowball Throwing

Abstract

Abstract: The existence of learning motivation that comes from the teacher and high learning interest from the students themselves can affect the increase in student achievement. Learning achievement obtained by students is influenced by high learning motivation, because with high learning motivation a student will do something that he is interested in and likes. This study aims to determine and analyze the level of motivation to study physics at SMPN 1 Kampar Kiri Tengah during the covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is descriptive research. The samples taken were 90 students from class VII, VIII, and IX each 1 class at each level. The results of this study reveal that from the overall data recapitulation of 4 (four) indicators regarding the learning motivation of SMPN 1 Kampar Kiri Tengah students during the covid-19 pandemic, it can be concluded that 31.44% have low motivation which has a percentage of 44.11%. . That is, from the indicators mentioned as many as 40 statement items used in this study, it can be seen that student learning motivation is low during the covid-19 pandemic.Keywords: motivation, physics, covid-19.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the ability of free-body representation diagrams MA Darel Hikmah students in solving Newton's Law application problems. The research used is a survey method. The population is all students of class X MA Darel Hikmah Pekanbaru, namely: class X1, class X2, class X3 which amounted to 67 students, while the sample determined using slovin formula with error rate of 5% of the population then, the sample of 57 students. The results obtained mean score for the ability to determine the forces acting on the object of 7257.5%, for the ability to determine the forces acting on the object of 60.55% and for ability to determine the forces that work against the x and y axis Of 4122.5. Thus the ability of representation of free body diagrams of class X student Darel Hikmah is in very low category.Key Words: The nature of Physics learning, The ability of free body diagrams representation

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe and know differences in student learning outcomes by applying active strategies of verbal soccer. The type of research used is Pre-ekspremental with intact-group comparison design. The population of this study were students of class XI IPA MAN Kampar amounted of 70 students consisting 2 classes, each control class and experiment class. The data in this study is the score of student learning outcomes obtained after active learning of verbal soccer and analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The results showed that there are differences in student learning outcomes that apply the active learning strategy of verbal soccer with conventional class. The average absorptive capacity of the class that implements the active learning strategy of verbal soccer is 80.79%, while the absorption rate of the conventional class is 72.79%. Thus it can be concluded that the implementation of the active strategy of verbal soccer can improve student learning outcomes class XI IPA MAN Kampar.Key Words: learning active strategy verbal soccer , learning result

Abstract

Abstract : This research aimed to determine the level of scientific attitude graders VIII5SMPN 21 pekanbaru with the approach of scientific rendering uses experimental methods on learning subject matter light in the lesson 2013/2014.This type of research is research pre-experimental design in the shape of One-Shot Case Study. Data is collected thatquestionnaire of scientific attitude after the close of students learning to the matter light. A descriptive analysis of the results, obtained an average score of scientific attitude of 37 students of 3,87. It showed that scientific attitude student with the approach of scientific rendering uses experimental methods class VIII5 SMPN 21 pekanbaru having high category.Key words : scientific approach, experimental method, scientific.

Abstract

Ecological restoration of peatlands leads to the destruction of peatland ecosystems caused by human activities, whether intentional or not. As a result of the damage caused various kinds of problems such as land fires. Tanjung Leban Village is one of the villages with a fairly high rate of fire, especially in 2012, 2013, and 2015. Many burnt lands are left unused, which in turn becomes a fire-prone area due to the lack of control over the land. In response to this, it is necessary to carry out peatland ecological restoration activities in Tanjung Leban Village through revegetation activities. Implementation of activities with the mentoring method through village facilitators stationed in Tanjung Leban Village. The implementation process begins with socialization, which continues with group formation, procurement of seeds, land clearing, and planting. The implementation of this revegetation focuses on the participation of the community who are members of the Peat Care Community Group (MPG) in Tanjung Leban Village. This activity was carried out in the community area (group members) with an area of 14.7 ha and 14,381 plants. The number of plants is divided into 2 categories, namely natural wood species and fruit plants.

Abstract

There is oil palm waste in the form of Oil Palm Empty Bunches (TKKS) in the Village of Kampung Baru, Subdistrict of Ukui, Pelalawan Regency. TKKS can be used as a medium for straw mushroom cultivation. To utilize this potential, the team provided the training and assistance in developing mushrooms product and its institutional strengthening to the community groups and local economical institutions. The team implement the activities by conducting community assistance to 20 village people. Other than that, the team gave the marketing knowledge of the mushroom product, so that it could increase the community income and economy. The activities located in the biogas plant development area. The result is participants have been able to cultivate mushroom from the process of setting the medium to harvesting. This activity has not reached the stage of harvest calculation and marketing yet. But the participants have got a mushroom products estimation that in the 144 m2 harvested area produces 34.56 kg of mushroom is per day.

Abstract

 The Covid-19 pandemic has had a real impact in various fields of life, one of which is education. Learning activities that are carried out directly for a moment are converted into an online system that utilizes various applications that support distance learning such as the Madrasah E-learning application developed by the Ministry of Religion. MA Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru is one of the madrasas that uses Madrasah E-learning applications in the learning process. The method used in this study is a descriptive method which aims to create a systematic, factual and accurate description of the facts on the phenomena being investigated. Data collection techniques used are observation and interviews. The purpose of the research in this article is to find out how to use E-Learning Madrasas and find out the advantages and disadvantages of the E-learning application at MA Darul Hikmah. In using the E-learning application, there are main features in the madrasa E-learning application, namely online classes, teacher sharing and madrasa community forums, so that it can support the learning process at MA Darul Hikmah to be effective and systematic. Another advantage is that there are six access roles, namely madrasa operators, subject teachers, counseling guidance teachers, homeroom teachers, students and supervisors, so that all parties in the school have their respective roles in the online learning process. Weaknesses in the E-Learning Application is the internet network which is sometimes not good.
