Abstract

Law enforcement in narcotics offenses frequently encounters a clash between the legal certainty of proving the elements of the offense and substantive justice in imposing criminal sanctions on subordinate intermediary offenders. Decision Number 188/Pid.Sus/2025/PN Dum imposed a six-year imprisonment and a fine of one billion rupiah on the Defendant. This research aims to examine the accuracy of the Panel of Judges’ legal qualification in applying the elements of an intermediary in narcotics transactions and to critically analyze the proportionality of criminal sanctions based on the offender’s degree of culpability. This normative legal research utilizes the statute approach and the case approach, employing an analytical-prescriptive analysis technique through a legal syllogism. The results indicate that the Panel of Judges absolutely and accurately applied the substantive law of Article 114 section (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 by considering the defendant’s active initiative in facilitating the transaction. In the sentencing dimension, the decision was proportionate and objective. The Panel of Judges did not merely take refuge behind the minimum sanction limits, but comprehensively differentiated roles by rejecting the narrative of sociological excusability regarding the defendant’s factual position as a field operator. In conclusion, the conviction is normatively valid and successfully presents substantive justice grounded in the individual’s degree of culpability. As a policy implication, the Supreme Court is recommended to immediately formulate sentencing guidelines for narcotics offenses that are hierarchically binding to maintain the consistency of high-quality legal reasoning across all judicial levels.

Abstract

Integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam pembelajaran matematika merupakan upaya strategis untuk menghadirkan pendidikan yang seimbang antara penguasaan konsep dan pembentukan karakter spiritual peserta didik. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pembelajaran matematika yang dipadukan dengan nilai-nilai Islam melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) terhadap artikel nasional yang relevan. Proses telaah dilakukan dengan menyeleksi artikel berdasarkan kesesuaian tema, kelengkapan metodologis, serta kontribusinya terhadap pengembangan pembelajaran matematika berbasis nilai Islam. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai Islam dapat diintegrasikan melalui berbagai model pembelajaran seperti Discovery Learning, Problem-Based Learning, Contextual Teaching and Learning, dan Realistic Mathematics Education. Integrasi ini terbukti dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar, kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta karakter religious peserta didik. Integrasi nilai-nilai Islam berperan penting dalam menciptakan proses pembelajaran matematika yang bermakna, holistik, dan selaras dengan tujuan pendidikan nasional berbasis nilai Islam.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in madrasahs has largely focused on conceptual understanding, while the systematic integration of spiritual values into mathematics instruction remains limited. Consequently, students’ mathematical connection ability (MCA) and Islamic character (IC) are often developed separately rather than through an integrated learning process. This study aimed to develop student worksheets (LKPD) based on a prophetic approach and to examine their validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving both MCA and IC. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) design using the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The participants were seventh-grade students of a Madrasah Tsanawiyah, involving a limited trial class, an experimental class, and a control class. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, student practicality questionnaires, MCA tests, and IC questionnaires, supported by classroom observations and interviews. Descriptive analysis was used to determine the validity and practicality of the developed LKPD, while inferential analysis was conducted using Multivariate Analysis of Covariance (MANCOVA) with pretest scores as covariates. The results showed that the developed LKPD achieved 85% validity and 90% practicality, indicating that the worksheets were feasible and well accepted in classroom learning. The MANCOVA results further revealed a statistically significant effect of the prophetic-approach-based LKPD on students’ MCA and IC (p < 0.05) after controlling for initial differences. Findings from classroom observations and student reflections also indicated that integrating prophetic values encouraged responsible participation, collaborative engagement, and reflective thinking during learning activities. These results suggest that integrating prophetic principles humanization, transcendence, and liberation into mathematical tasks can support both conceptual understanding and character development within mathematics learning. Overall, the study highlights the potential of value-integrated instructional materials to promote more holistic mathematics learning in madrasah contexts. Keywords: LKPD, prophetic approach, mathematical connection ability, islamic character, madrasah tsanawiyah.
