Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi terimplementasi di Taman Kanak-kanak Perintis di Kota Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian metode campuran dengan rancangan penelitian penjelasan. Subjek penelitian kuantitatif sebanyak 30 guru, sedangkan subjek penelitian kualitatif sebanyak 2 guru Taman Kanak-kanak. Analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan deskripsi kuantitatif dengan menggunakan persentase, sedangkan data kualitatif menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian, nilai rata-rata implementasi pembelajaran berbasis proyek berdasarkan jumlah total indikator pencapaian adalah 3060 dengan nilai persentase 92,73% dan nilai rata-rata pembelajaran berdiferensiasi berdasarkan jumlah total indikator pencapaian adalah 1390 dengan nilai persentase 92,67%. Artinya, implementasi pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi di Kota Padang pada Taman Kanak-kanak Perintis dikategorikan sangat tinggi. Hasil ini didukung oleh data kualitatif telah berjalan sesuai dengan modul ajar yang telah dibuat oleh guru sebelum proses pembelajaran dilaksanakan. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik dan aspek perkembangan anak, serta guru menggunakan penilaian autentik.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effect of using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model and variations in learning styles on the critical thinking abilities of class IV students in Cluster V, Palembayan District. Critical thinking ability is a key skill in modern education, encouraging the development of analytical, evaluative and reflective thinking. The research method used in this research is a quasi-experiment with a research design using an experimental design with a 2x2 factorial design technique where there will be a control class and an experimental class. The research sample consisted of two groups of class IV students, one experimental group taught using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model and one control group taught using a conventional approach. In addition, student learning styles were also identified and analyzed in this research. The research results showed that the group of students taught using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model experienced a significant increase in critical thinking skills. This is reinforced by the results of statistical analysis which show that the value of tcount (1.910) is higher than ttable (1.708) at a significance level of 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Problem Learning (PBL) model has a positive effect on increasing students' critical thinking skills. Apart from that, this research also identified that student learning styles influence learning outcomes. Some learning styles may be better suited to a PBL approach, while others are better suited to a conventional approach. Therefore, educators are expected to consider variations in student learning styles in designing effective learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Virtual Reality (VR)-based learning media integrated with a deep learning approach to improve early childhood science literacy skills. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The study was conducted at Bunda Musnidar Kindergarten, Padang, involving children aged 5–6 years. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and science literacy tests, and analyzed using validity, practicality, and effectiveness tests, including N-Gain and paired sample t-test analysis. The results indicate that the developed VR media achieved a media validity score of 91.25% and material validity of 95%, both categorized as very valid. The practicality test showed a score of 94.44%, indicating that the media is highly practical for classroom use. Furthermore, the effectiveness test revealed an N-Gain score of 0.78 (high category), supported by a significant difference between pre-test and post-test results. These findings demonstrate that VR-based learning media integrated with a deep learning approach effectively enhances early childhood science literacy. The study concludes that immersive and meaningful learning experiences facilitated through VR significantly support children’s ability to observe, explore, and understand scientific concepts in real-life contexts.

Abstract

This study was conducted in response to the limited development of early childhood mathematical abilities, which is closely associated with the insufficient use of interactive and explorative learning media. The present research focuses on designing and evaluating an inquiry-oriented interactive wordwall game intended to enhance young children's mathematical competencies. The study employed a Research and Development framework using the ADDIE model, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. The participants involved 15 kindergarten children aged 5–6 years, while data were collected through expert validation, observation, questionnaires, and pre-test and post-test assessments. The findings reveal that the developed media achieved a very high level of feasibility, indicated by media and material validation scores of 96% and 92%, respectively. Practicality testing also demonstrated a very positive response from teachers and strong engagement from children. In terms of effectiveness, there was a substantial improvement in mathematical ability, reflected by an increase in average scores from 60.1% to 97%, with an N-Gain score of 0.91 categorized as high. These results suggest that combining interactive digital media with an inquiry-based approach can meaningfully support children's conceptual understanding and engagement. Therefore, the developed Wordwall-based learning media can be considered an effective and innovative tool for improving early childhood mathematics learning.

Abstract

The limited availability of interactive learning media has contributed to the low development of early childhood science skills in kindergarten learning. This study aimed to develop and evaluate an interactive illustrated storybook based on the Story Jumper platform to improve science skills among children aged 5–6 years. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The study involved two expert validators, one media expert and one material expert, while the field testing was conducted with 20 kindergarten children in Group B at TK Negeri Pembina Ranah Batahan, West Pasaman, Indonesia. Data were collected through validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, observation sheets, and pretest–posttest assessments. The findings indicated that the developed media achieved a very valid category, with validation scores of 91.6% from material experts and 88.8% from media experts. The practicality assessment by teachers reached 94.44%, indicating that the media was highly practical and easy to implement in classroom activities. Furthermore, the effectiveness test showed an increase in children’s science skills, reflected by an N-Gain score of 0.6656 in the moderate-to-high category. The study demonstrates that the Story Jumper–based illustrated storybook can serve as an innovative and effective digital learning medium to support the development of early childhood science skills through interactive and contextual learning experiences

Abstract

The integration of digital technology in education has encouraged the development of innovative learning media, including Augmented Reality (AR)-based flipbooks in science learning. Unlike previous studies that primarily focused on student motivation and conceptual understanding, this research emphasizes the novelty of integrating AR flipbook technology specifically to develop students’ science process skills in science learning. The study aimed to examine the effectiveness of AR-based flipbooks in improving students’ science process skills and learning engagement in junior high school science classes, particularly on the topic of the human digestive system. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group approach. The participants consisted of 64 eighth-grade students from a junior high school, divided into an experimental group (32 students) using AR-based flipbooks and a control group (32 students) using conventional learning media. The intervention was conducted over four weeks during science learning activities. Data were collected using science process skills tests, observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The effectiveness of the media was analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired sample t-tests, independent sample t-tests, and effect size analysis. The results showed that the experimental group achieved a higher increase in science process skills compared to the control group. The average pretest score of the experimental group increased from 61.25 to 85.40 in the posttest, while the control group improved from 60.80 to 72.15. The N-gain score of the experimental group was 0.71 (high category), whereas the control group obtained 0.42 (moderate category). Statistical analysis revealed a significant difference between both groups (p < 0.05) with a large effect size (Cohen’s d = 0.87). Students in the experimental group also demonstrated better performance in observing, classifying, interpreting data, and communicating scientific findings. In addition, questionnaire results indicated that students showed higher motivation, active participation, and positive responses toward the use of AR-based flipbooks. In conclusion, AR-based flipbooks are effective and engaging learning media that significantly improve students’ science process skills and support active learning in science education. The integration of interactive AR features into science learning provides more meaningful and contextual learning experiences, making this media highly recommended for classroom implementation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh lama mengajar dan latar belakang pendidikan terhadap penggunaan media mitigasi bencana gempa bumi oleh guru di lingkungan sekolah. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya kesiapsiagaan bencana di Indonesia sebagai wilayah yang rawan gempa, sehingga peran guru dalam mengintegrasikan materi mitigasi melalui media pembelajaran menjadi sangat strategis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 52 orang guru yang yang dipilih menggunakan teknik sampling tertentu. Pengumpulan data ilakukan melalu iangket, wawancara dan dokumentasi, analisis data menffunakan bantuan aplikasi SPSS untuk mengetahui hubungan antara variabel lama mengajar, latar belakang pendidikan dan penggunaan media mitigasi bencana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lama mengajar memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran, dimana guru yang lebih berpengalaman cenderung lebih terampil dan adaptif. Selain itu latar belakang pendidikan yang relevan juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan guru dalam memilih dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang tepat. Penelitiian ini diharapkan dapat membrikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan kebijakan pendidkan, khususnya dalam peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam pendidikan mitigasi bencana. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi bagi penelitian selanjutnya yang berkaitan dengan pembelajaran berbasis mitigasi bencana.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas pengaruh limbah kardus bekas dalam mengembangkan konsep grafik di Taman Kanak-kanak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif berupa eksperimen. Pengembangan konsep grafik dengan menggunakan bahan sisa dapat membantu guru mengembangkan kemampuan mengelompokkan warna dan bentuk, membandingkan banyak-sedikit dan tinggi-rendah, mencocokkan dan menjumlahkan. Biasanya guru hanya fokus pada majalah yang ada. Adanya media grafik dari kardus bekas juga membantu guru mengenalkan grafik sejak dini dan menghemat biaya pembelian APE serta mampu meningkatkan kemampuan mengelompokkan, membandingkan, menjodohkan dan menjumlahkan anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Selanjutnya berdasarkan uji t diketahui bahwa nilai sig (2-tailed) adalah 0,003 < 0,005. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan, bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan bahan bekas dalam pengembangan konsep grafis di Taman Kanak-kanak Kemala Bhayangkari 07 Koto Nan IV Balai Selasa Ranah Pesisir Tahun Pelajaran 2021/2022.

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan matematika awal kelas 1 sekolah dasar menjadi perhatian penting dalam pembelajaran, yang diduga dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan media pembelajaran yang kurang variatif serta rendahnya motivasi belajar anak. Tujuan penelitian untuk menguji pengaruh media wordwall dan motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan matematika awal sekolah dasar kelas 1. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif eksperimen factorial design 2x2. Dengan pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah UPT SD N 32 Tanjuang Bonai dan UPT SD N 03 Tigo Jangko. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 35 di kelas eksperimen dan 30 anak di kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa lembar observasi untuk kemampuan matematika awal dan alat pengumpulan data digunakan lembar pertanyaan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji perbedaan (uji-t) dan uji Anava. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Wordwall berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan matematika awal (0,000 < 0,05). Terdapat pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan matematika awal kelas 1 sekolah dasar dengan hasil 0,000 < 0,05. Terdapat pengaruh media wordwall dan motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan matematika awal anak dapat dilihat dari Uji Anava dengan hasil 0,020 < 0,05. Dapat disimpulkan penggunaan media wordwall dan motivasi belajar berpengaruh singnifikan terhadap kemampuan matematika awal anak sekolah dasar kelas 1. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah guru disarankan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran interaktif seperti wordwall untuk meningkatkan kemampuan matematika anak.
