Abstract

Based on the results of interviews with several chemistry teachers, it was found that technology-based teaching materials still needed to be improved, especially regarding atomic structure material. Therefore, it is necessary to create technology-based learning materials. This study aims to develop an e-module of atomic structure material using Kvisoft Flipbook Maker software and determine the level of validity, practicality, and students' responses. This article was a type of Research and Development (R&D) using the Borg & Gall model. The research subjects were material, media, and educational practitioner experts as validators and students as the subjects of the feasibility tests. Data collection techniques included validity test questionnaires, practicality tests, students' responses to the test, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. The research results show that the e-module validity level is 88.88% with a valid category for material and 93.16% with a valid category for media. The level of practicality obtained was 89.33% in the practical category. Apart from that, student responses obtained a score of 86.55% in the good category. Thus, the atomic structure e-module developed is valid, practical, and has received a good response.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an E-LKPD based on the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning model by utilizing the Liveworksheets web application on the reaction rate material for grade XI of high school. The development was carried out using a 4-D model that includes the stages of defining, designing, and developing. The results of validation by material and media experts showed that the E-LKPD had met the validity criteria with consecutive scores in the aspects of content feasibility of 92.85%, CORE characteristics 87.51%, language 100%, presentation 87.5%, visual appearance and software use each 100%. The research sample used in this study were 10 grade XI students of SMAN 1 Pekanbaru and 10 grade XI students of SMAN 3 Pekanbaru. One-on-one and small group trials showed that students gave positive responses to the appearance, ease of use, and understanding of the E-LKPD content. In addition, teacher responses also showed that the E-LKPD was suitable for use in learning with a total percentage of 86.06%. Thus, the CORE-based E-LKPD using Liveworksheets on the demonstration rate material is declared valid and very feasible according to user assessments and can be used as an alternative digital-based interactive teaching material in the 21st century learning era.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of website-based interactive learning media on the topic of atomic structure and the periodic table of elements for grade X students of senior high school (SMA/MA) or equivalent. The development was carried out using the ADDIE model which includes five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection included validation of media and materials by experts, teacher and student response questionnaires, and limited trials. The validation results showed that the learning media met the “valid” criteria in all aspects assessed, including content feasibility (92.5%), language (93.75%), presentation (93.75%), graphics (97.91%), and concept structure (95.31%), with an overall average of 94.64% for material experts. Media experts assessed the visual design and software utilization aspects at 92.5% and 100%, respectively, with an average of 96.25%. In this study, the research sample was 10 grade X students of SMAN 7 Pekanbaru and 10 grade X students of SMAN 9 Pekanbaru as well as 2 chemistry teachers in each school. In the implementation stage, a user response trial will be conducted by the research sample. The user response trial by teachers and students also showed very good results, with an overall average score of 91.80% and 91.76%, which is categorized as "very good". These findings indicate that the developed website-based interactive learning media is effective, practical, and appropriate to support independent and meaningful learning, especially in mastering abstract chemical concepts such as atomic structure and the periodic table.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students in chemistry learning. This is indicated by students who have not been trained in analyzing a problem and a lack of involvement, so that students are not motivated to learn. Students need effective teaching materials to be actively involved in analyzing problems and motivating learning, so that E-LKPD based on Socio-Scientific Issues is expected to be a learning innovation. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of E-LKPD based on Socio-Scientific Issues in acid-base learning on critical thinking and student learning motivation. E-LKPD is presented via the web Liveworksheets as an interactive medium. The type of research used is a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent group pretest-posttest research design. The study was conducted in class XI IPA 8 and XI IPA 1 SMAN 4 Pekanbaru consisting of 90 students. Data analysis used the Normality test, t-test, and N-gain test. The results of the analysis for critical thinking obtained an N-gain of 0.6586 in the control class and 0.7509 in the experimental class. Meanwhile, for learning motivation, the N-gain obtained was 0.2537 in the control class and 0.4548 in the experimental class. Furthermore, the results of the t-test showed that there was a significant difference between critical thinking skills and learning motivation in the control class and the experimental class. Critical thinking skills and learning motivation have a positive relationship as evidenced by the sig. value < 0.05 with a Pearson correlation value of 0.419, thus E-LKPD based on Socio-Scientific Issues is effective in improving critical thinking skills and learning motivation in acid-base learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive e-module for English Structure course to support digital learning in the English Study Program, Universitas Riau, Indonesia. The research used a Research and Development (R&D) approach and applied the ADDIE model consisting of five stages; analyse, design, development, implement and evaluate. The products developed were animated videos and interactive quizzes integrated into an electronic module using the Flipbook maker application. The e-module consists of three chapters with several sections in each chapter: video based explanation, text based description, example, interactive quizzes, and chapter summary. The results of the validations of media expert and material expert of the animated videos are 3.55 (very valid) while the interactive quizzes got an average score of 3.85 (very valid). Then, for the validations of the e-module, it go an average score of 3.96 (very valid) and 3.23 (valid) from the material expert and the media expert, respectively. On the whole, the average score of the validations is 3.60 (very valid). The e-module has been implemented to a group of students (n=20). The studentsÔÇÖ responses show that the e-module has a very good category (3.75 for the attractiveness aspect and 3.61 for the convenience aspect). Therefore, it can be concluded that the e-module has a very good quality, both in terms of its materials and media, and is eligible to be utilized as a digital learning resource for Pre-Intermediate Structure course in the English department of Universitas Riau, Indonesia.

Abstract

Practical work is an essential part of science learning because it provides students with hands-on experience to deeply understand concepts. To determine its effectiveness, a case study was conducted at SMPN 3 Siak Hulu with 60 students through questionnaires and observations. The results showed a significant gap: students' perceptions of practical work were in the "very good" category with an average score of 89.9%. However, observations indicated that hands-on laboratory practice was rarely conducted and was often replaced by teacher demonstrations. This gap is caused by various obstacles such as teacher competencies that do not match their scientific background, limited facilities, and suboptimal time management. Therefore, further research needs to focus on developing solutions such as teacher training programs, measuring the quantitative impact of minimal practical work on students' scientific skills, and expanding the study to a larger scale to validate whether this phenomenon occurs generally.

Abstract

In The learning process, learning media, students, educators, environment conditions and everything related to education have a reciprocal relationship that is mutually dependent on each other and mutually utilizes each other with the aim of forming character in students who think cognitively and independently. The aim of this research is to determine the level of validity and practice of e-modules based on multiple representations to increase chemical literacy in odd semester class XI high school chemistry material in accordance with the independent learning curriculum. This type of research is R&D (Presearch & Development). Where this research produces products and tests the effectiveness of the products produced. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, validity sheets, teacher practitioner questionnaires and student response tests. The research results found that the E-module product based on multiple representations of reaction rate subject matter was very valid in terms of material validation, media validation and practitioners by teachers in the field of chemistry studies. So, it can be used in the learning process. Thus, the product developed can help teachers convey reaction rate material in an independent curriculum.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a student worksheet based SETS on a valid ion balance and pH of buffer solutions for class XI SMA/MA and knows user’s response. This research is development research (R&D) that adapts the 4-D development model. The data collection instruments used in the form of validation sheets and user response questionnaires. The research results showed that the percentage of appropriateness of content, SETS characteristics, language and presentation was 91.66; 97.91; 89.58 and 91.67%. with valid criteria. One-on-one trials were carried out on 3 students with different abilities to get comments that were used to improve the student worksheet. The results of teacher and student responses were respectively 97.17% and 84.34% with very good criteria

Abstract

Manajemen inventaris alat dan bahan laboratorium IPA di tingkat SMP umumnya masih dilakukan secara manual, sehingga rentan terhadap kehilangan data, rendahnya akurasi, dan lambatnya proses pelaporan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kondisi aktual manajemen inventaris laboratorium IPA serta mengeksplorasi potensi penerapan sistem digital berbasis Microsoft Access sebagai solusi optimalisasi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif dan pendekatan studi kasus. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tahun 2026 di SMP Negeri 1 Bathin Solapan, dengan subjek penelitian meliputi kepala laboratorium, tiga orang guru IPA, dan 30 siswa kelas VII. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, kuesioner tertutup, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data mengacu pada model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem pencatatan yang berjalan masih bersifat konvensional dan belum terintegrasi, sehingga menghambat efisiensi operasional laboratorium. Penerapan aplikasi Microsoft Access diperkirakan mampu mempersingkat durasi penyusunan laporan dari 60 menit menjadi sekitar 1 menit, serta berpotensi meningkatkan kecepatan akses data secara signifikan dibandingkan metode manual. Fitur-fitur seperti pencatatan otomatis, monitoring stok, riwayat penggunaan, dan laporan otomatis dapat mendukung pengelolaan inventaris yang lebih akurat, transparan, dan efisien. Keberhasilan implementasi sistem ini memerlukan dukungan infrastruktur yang memadai, pelatihan tenaga pengelola, serta kebijakan sekolah yang kondusif. Dengan demikian, optimalisasi inventaris berbasis digital merupakan langkah strategis yang berpotensi meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran sains secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

One of the problems in education is that educators have not been able to prepare innovative teaching materials in accordance with the development of science and technology. Educators are required to provide innovations to increase students’ interest in learning, especially in industrial revolution 4.0. This activity aims to provide understanding and skills to students and teachers in using electronic-based teaching materials and training of e-magazine making in chemistry learning. The activity was carried out at a public senior high school (SMAN Pintar), Riau Province, which is located in the city of Taluk Kuantan. This school is a boarding school that has a good infrastructure and facilities to support the optimization of learning science and technology in the industrial revolution 4.0. The method of implementing this program is to give a socialization about 21st century learning and the use of e-magazine as innovative teaching materials, followed by training and mentoring of teachers in making e-magazine using the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker Pro application. The results of this program are e-magazine products, usage manuals, and review books program. This activity received a positive response from students and teacher of SMAN Pintar Riau Province.Bahasa Indonesia Abstrak: Salah satu masalah dalam dunia Pendidikan adalah pendidik belum bisa menyiapkan materi ajar yang inovatif dan sesuai dengan perkembangan IPTEK. Seiring dengan tuntutan revolusi industri 4.0 yang mengedepankan IT, pendidik dituntut untuk dapat memberikan inovasi untuk meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik. Salah satu inovasi yang bisa digalakkan adalah membuat bahan ajar berbasis IT. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan kepada peserta didik dan guru dalam menggunakan bahan ajar berbasis elektronik melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan pembuaatn e-magazine dalam pembelajaran kimia. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan di SMAN Pintar Provinsi Riau merupakan sebuah boarding school yang memiliki infrastruktur dan sarana prasaran sudah memadai sehingga diperlukan usaha pengoptimalan IPTEK agar sekolah ini bisa berperan serta dalam revolusi industri 4.0. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini meliputi pemberian materi sosialisasi tentang pembelajaran abad 21, penggunaan e-magazine sebagai bahan ajar, pelatihan dan pendampingan guru dalam pembuatan e-magazine menggunakan aplikasi Kvisoft Flipbook Maker Pro. Hasil kegiatan ini berupa buku panduan program, buku tinjauan program, dan produk e-modul yang dibuat oleh tim EMBER KLASIK serta guru hasil pelatihan. E-magazine adalah modul elektronik yang memiliki tampilan seperti majalah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini memperoleh respon positif dari peserta didik dan guru SMAN Pintar Provinsi Riau.
