Abstract

This research investigates the strategic efforts of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darul Arifin to enhance its branding image through the application of the 7P Marketing Mix framework: Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, Process, and Physical Evidence. In an increasingly competitive Islamic education sector, effective branding is crucial for establishing institutional credibility, increasing enrollment, and fostering public trust. The study adopts a qualitative descriptive approach using data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Key informants include school leaders, administrative staff, academic personnel, students, and community members. The analysis reveals that the leadership of the Kyai, the implementation of flagship programs, consistent promotion strategies, and the quality of physical infrastructure significantly shape the institution’s brand image. These flagship programs serve as key differentiators in the competitive education market, emphasising both academic excellence and religious devotion. The institution’s commitment to producing well-rounded students competent in Islamic knowledge, languages, and leadership has strengthened its positioning as a leading Islamic educational institution. Findings show that the figure of the Kyai serves as a moral and symbolic leader, fostering public trust and social legitimacy. The madrasah’s flagship programs function as academic differentiators that attract both urban and rural communities. Promotional efforts, including social media and alums networks, expand the madrasah’s visibility while maintaining its spiritual values. The registration process reflects administrative professionalism, and the well-maintained facilities support both educational effectiveness and brand positioning. This study concludes that a strong brand image in Islamic education is built not only through visibility but through integrated, value-based institutional management. The 7P framework provides a comprehensive lens to understand how internal consistency, leadership, flagship programs, infrastructure, and strategic communication collectively influence public perception and educational choice.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of special dormitory education services at MAN Insan Cendikia Jambi, focusing on planning, implementation, and evaluation. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the principal, dormitory head, dormitory supervisors, and students. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that the planning of dormitory education services is conducted systematically through coordination among the principal, dormitory head, and dormitory management based on the dormitory's vision, mission, and students' needs. The programs include daily, weekly, monthly, and annual activities, with the Gentala Arasy program serving as the flagship character development initiative. The implementation of services covers character and discipline development, academic support, health services, religious activities, life skills development, and the enhancement of Arabic and English language proficiency. However, several disciplinary violations by students were still identified. Evaluation is conducted periodically through supervision, monitoring, coaching, and evaluation meetings to assess program effectiveness and address implementation challenges. Overall, the management of special dormitory education services has been implemented effectively, although strengthening supervision and student guidance remains necessary to optimize the development of character, discipline, and independence.

Abstract

Student administrative service management is essential for maintaining orderly records, ensuring data accuracy, and sustaining educational activities in madrasahs. However, research examining these services as an integrated cycle of planning, organizing, implementation, and supervision in private Islamic junior secondary schools remains limited. This study aimed to describe the management of student administrative services, identify its supporting and inhibiting factors, and examine the solutions implemented at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Nurul Hikam, Tanjung Jabung Barat. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving purposively selected informants comprising the madrasah head, administrative staff, teachers, and students. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation and analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. Data credibility was established through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that student administrative services were delivered through the four management functions. Their implementation was supported by the leadership of the madrasah head, staff cooperation, and existing facilities, although limited personnel, facilities, service time, and the absence of written standard operating procedures constrained service effectiveness. The madrasah addressed these constraints by strengthening coordination, optimizing available facilities, gradually adopting information technology, conducting regular supervision, and improving administrative staff competence. The study concludes that effective student administrative services depend on the coordinated implementation of management functions, adequate institutional support, and sustained staff capacity development. These findings provide context-specific evidence for improving administrative governance in private madrasahs and highlight the importance of formalized procedures, human-resource development, and gradual digitalization in strengthening service quality.
