Abstract

This study examines the influence of the Crossword Puzzle educational game on the learning outcomes and motivation of class XI Economics students at SMAN 10 Makassar. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and recording using qualitative methods and a descriptive approach. The research was conducted directly at the location of SMAN 10 Makassar, class XI IPS 5 with a total of 37 students. The research findings show that the use of Crossword Puzzles media increases student motivation and performance. Learning that was previously boring, but after using Crossword Puzzles, children become more active and enthusiastic. The use of Crossword Puzzles educational games improves learning outcomes, fosters a dynamic learning environment, and helps students understand the subject matter.

Abstract

Purpose — This research was conducted to find out how entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial experience, and entrepreneurial motivation influence the management of farming in urban areas.Method — This research was conducted using a quantitative approach with associative methods and employing multiple linear regression data analysis techniques. The research population consisted of members of the Citra women's farmer group, totaling 20 people located at BTN Citra Tello Permai, Tello Baru Village, Panakkukang District, Makassar City.Result — The results of the research indicate that the entrepreneurial education variable has a positive and significant effect on the management of urban farming businesses, the entrepreneurial experience variable also has a positive and significant effect on the management of urban farming businesses, while the entrepreneurial motivation variable, partially, shows no positive and significant effect on the management of urban farming businesses.Contribution — This research makes a valuable academic contribution by addressing a population gap, as prior studies primarily centered on MSMEs, with limited exploration of the crucial urban agricultural sector.

Abstract

Purpose — This research aims to explore the entrepreneurial literacy possessed by the women farmers group.Method — This research employs a qualitative approach utilizing a case study method specifically focused on the women farmers group. The informants in this study consist of two individuals from the women farmers group in Buntusu District, Tamalanrea Regency, namely the Chair and Secretary. Data collection techniques include observation and interviews. Data analysis involves testing data validity through time triangulation and reflexivity processes.Result — The findings of this study demonstrate four dimensions essential for assessing entrepreneurial literacy within the women farmers group. These dimensions encompass: (1) decision-making proficiency, (2) adeptness in selecting viable business strategies, (3) competence in managing and allocating financial resources, and (4) proficiency in transforming agricultural outputs into commercially viable products.Practical implications — This study serves as a basis for the development of government policies aimed at empowering women farmers group to enhance the productivity of urban land for agricultural purposes, meeting the community's needs, particularly for food products.

Abstract

One activity that can increase the entrepreneurial spirit of the community is a home industry business or what is usually called a home business in making Banana Flavored Chips (KRISANGRA). Processing of higher quality banana chip products and a more contemporary design. As globalization progresses, society will be able to provide the ever-increasing need for nutritious food that everyone needs to be healthy. An opportunity for the general public to start a simple food or snack business with many banana-based preparations. With innovation and increasingly developing times, these banana chips are prepared with various flavors like the ones we make, especially balado, chocolate and cheese milk, suitable as snacking companions. Various flavors of banana chips are one of the snack products that is most popular with consumers in various circles. The methods used in this activity include lectures, questions and answers or discussions, and training. The results obtained were (1) Training on making Flavored Banana Chips (KRISANGRA) was responded well by participants; (2) The high interest and motivation of the training participants really supports the transfer of knowledge and skills from the service to the training participants, so that the training material provided can be absorbed by all; and (3) The training product for making Flavored Banana Chips (KRISANGRA) can be consumed daily and can be used as an entrepreneurial product

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Market Aspects (AP), Technical Aspects (AT), Management Aspects (AM), and Financial Aspects (AK) on Business Feasibility (KU) of photocopy service enterprises located around educational areas in Makassar City. A quantitative approach using PLS-SEM was employed with 100 photocopy business owners as respondents. The results show that all research instruments are valid and reliable, and the model obtained an R² value of 0.741, indicating that 74.1% of business feasibility is explained by the four variables. Partially, Market Aspects, Technical Aspects, and Financial Aspects have a positive and significant effect on business feasibility, while Management Aspects show no significant effect. These findings indicate that the feasibility of photocopy businesses is primarily determined by market strength, technical readiness, and financial conditions.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance the financial literacy of housewives through an understanding of household budgeting in order to achieve family economic welfare. The program was conducted in Tamallayang Village, Bontonompo District, involving 20 participants. The method used was interactive education through socialization and open discussions, with evaluation conducted using pre-test and post-test instruments. The results showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding of various aspects of financial literacy. This was indicated by increased scores across all measured indicators, including understanding of budgeting concepts, the ability to distinguish between needs and wants, and long-term financial planning. In addition, the program also improved participants’ awareness and attitudes toward managing household finances in a more planned and responsible manner. Therefore, the financial literacy program proved to be effective in enhancing the capacity of housewives in financial management, which ultimately contributes to improving family economic welfare.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the use of glutinous rice flour is still limited to foods containing carbohydrates and tends to be used to produce foods that are filling. One of the foods made from glutinous rice flour is mochi. Mochi is one of the foods that is still rarely found in society because mochi is one of the modern foods whose method of making is still unknown to many people. Therefore, innovations to mochi cakes are needed to attract the interest of many people to buy and have an interest in making mochi for consumption or for sale in order to generate economic value that can be marketed both domestically and internationally. The methods used in this activity include lectures, questions and answers or discussions, and training and mentoring carried out in Manggala District, Makassar City for 2 weeks. The results obtained are: (1) Training on making Rainbow Fla Mochi was responded well by participants; (2) High interest and motivation from training participants greatly supports the transfer of knowledge and skills from the servants to the training participants, so that the training material provided can be absorbed by all; and (3) The product of the Rainbow Fla Mochi making training can be consumed daily and can be used as a community entrepreneurial product.

Abstract

Abstract

In today's digital era, almost all activities can be carried out using the internet, making information access easier. This study aims to review and analyze existing problems to determine the extent of the influence of service quality, promotions, and product prices in the marketplace on consumers' purchasing decisions, with brand image acting as a mediating variable. The research subjects are students from eight study programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Makassar State University, from the 2021 and 2022 intakes, with a sample size of 348 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM). Based on the problem formulation, the study results show that service quality, promotions, product prices, and brand image have a positive and significant influence on consumers' purchasing decisions. Additionally, brand image effectively mediates the relationship between these three variables and consumers' purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of economic literacy and entrepreneurship education on the sustainability of street vendor businesses in Pinrang Regency, with entrepreneurial commitment as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was used with data from 100 respondents analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results show that economic literacy and entrepreneurship education have a positive and significant influence on business sustainability, with entrepreneurial commitment strengthening the relationship. Economic literacy helps entrepreneurs in financial management, while entrepreneurship education improves skills and adaptation to business challenges. This study emphasizes the importance of economic literacy and entrepreneurship education programs oriented towards increasing entrepreneurial commitment to support the sustainability of street vendor businesses in the future.
