Abstract

Tanaman kopi merupakan tanaman perkebunan yang akhir-akhir ini banyak diminati oleh petani.  Namun demikian produksi kopi Indonesia menurun yang salah satunya diakibatkan oleh teknik budidaya yang belum optimal. Peningkatan produksi dapat dilakukan sejak awal penanaman. Aplikasi bahan organik pada awal tanam diharapkan dapat meningkatkan produksi kopi saat panen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan dosis dan jenis bahan organik yang tepat untuk pertumbuhan tanaman kopi arabika. Percobaan dilakukan mulai bulan Agustus – November 2017 di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Unpad, di Jatinangor. Ketinggian tempat percobaan adalah 752 m dpl dengan ordo Tanah Inceptisol. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 9 perlakuan yang diulang tiga kali. Perlakuannya adalah tanpa diberi bahan organik, Dosis asam humat ( 5,10,15,20 ml/tanaman) dan dosis pupuk kotoran sapi (5, 10, 15, 20 kg/tanaman).  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Respon tanaman kopi muda terhadap pemberian jenis pupuk organik hanya terdapat pada variabel indeks klorofil umur 8 MSP.  Aplikasi asam humat 10 ml memberikan pengaruh terbaik pada indeks klorofil dan terdapat kecenderung lebih baik pada pertambahan tinggi tanaman, pertambahan diameter batang dan pertambahan jumlah daun. Kata kunci : bahan organik, kopi

Abstract

Buah naga adalah salah satu komoditas buah yang termasuk dalam jenis kaktus yang dapat tumbuh di daerah kering dan lahan yang kurang produktif seperti di Kabupaten Pangandaran. Pengetahuan masyarakat sekitar tentang buah naga bagus, tetapi pengetahuan tentang budidaya dan perbanyakan buah naga masih kurang. Sehingga pasokan bahan tanaman masih sulit diperoleh dan membutuhkan biaya tinggi bagi petani karena semakin banyaknya peminat dalam budidaya buah naga. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini dengan menyediakan bahan tanam secara mandiri. Teknik perbanyakan tanaman tanaman buah naga seperti perbanyakan vegetatif yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas hasil dan nilai ekonomi buah naga. Untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan minat masyarakat dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan bantuan dalam teknik perbanyakan tanaman tanaman buah naga. Daerah yang digunakan sebagai mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah Desa Cintaratu, Kabupaten Parigi, Kabupaten Pangandaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pendampingan adalah pengobatan perbanyakan buah naga, praktik perbanyakan, dan pembuatan demplot penanaman. Hasil pengayaan menunjukkan bahwa antusiasme dan minat yang tinggi dari masyarakat dalam mendapatkan pengetahuan dan informasi tentang teknik perbanyakan tanaman buah naga di daerah tersebut dan bersedia bekerja sama dalam program berikutnya.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini merupakan bagian yang terintegrasi dengan riset yang dilaksanakan di Desa Pasigaran Kecamatan Tanjungsari Kabupaten Sumedang yang yang berlokasi dekat lokasi-lokasi tempat wisata yang saat ini ramai dikunjungi. Kegiatan yang mengangkat tema tersebut bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis stroberi yang banyak dibudayakan di Indonesia serta sosialisasi beberapa stroberi jenis baru. Pada umumnya di daerah Desa Pasigaran belum ada yang melakukan budidaya tanaman stroberi sehingga perlu dilakukan demplot percontohan pertanaman stroberi petik sendiri diharapkan bisa dijadikan sebagai kawasan wisata. Kegiatan yang dilakukan terdiri dari beberapa tahap yaitu: 1) Penjajagan, 2) penyuluhan, 3) pembuatan demplot percontohan pertanaman stroberi varietas unggul baru, 4) budidaya stroberi di halaman rumah masing-masing peserta kegitan, 5) Pemanenan dan pengemasan buah, serta 6) Pendampingan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk memperkenalkan dan mendiseminasikan beberapa stroberi varietas unggul yang dibudidayakan di Indonesia, selain itu untuk menyediakan bibit stroberi unggul bagi yang memerlukan. Tujuan jangka panjang diharapkan kebun kawasan stroberi petik sendiri ini bisa dijadikan sebagai sumber pendapatan bagi warga setempat. Hasil kegiatan ini dapat memperkenalkan berbagai jenis tanaman stroberi varietas unggul baru yang memiliki kualitas buah yang baik dan diperoleh informasi bagaimana pertumbuhan klon stroberi unggul baru tersebut ketika ditanam di dataran medium.

Abstract

SOCIALIZATION OF DRAGON FRUIT CULTURE FOR COASTAL REGION IN CINTARATU VILLAGE, PARIGI, DISTRICT OF PANGANDARAN. Dragon fruit is one type of potential fruits to be developed in the lowlands such as Pangandaran. Knowledge of dragon fruit cultivation in this area. An effort for the process of empowerment and community development for dragon fruit cultivation is with the socialization activities about the technology of dragon fruit cultivation. The purpose of this activity is to introduce dragon fruit plants to be cultivated in coastal areas of Pangandaran as one of the sources of food that rich with nutrition and support the improvement the nutrition of the community and allows to be an additional income for community. This activity was conducted in Cintaratu Village, Parigi, Pangandaran City by seminar and making the demonstration plot. The seminar was introduction of dragon fruit, explanation about the superiority and importance of dragon fruit as a source of nutrition, and also technology of dragon fruit cultivation in coastal area. In addition to making the demonstration plot (demplot) of dragon fruit on farmers' land. The results of this activities showed that there looks enthusiastic society to know more about what is the dragon fruit and how the dragon fruit culture techniques, so the dragon fruit in the area can develop. Abstract

WOMEN FARMERS EMPOWERMENT IN SOYBEAN CULTIVATION OF SUPERIOR VARIETIES RAW MATERIAL OF TOFU PRODUCTION. Soybean is one of the important crops containing high protein content. The demand of soybean increases from year to year, because the domestic production could not reach the market demand and it is still imported. Therefore, the necessary effort to increase soybean production must be done such as by expanding the planting area, planting superior varieties especially for raw materials of tofu, and the cultivation techniques. Sumedang is one of the centers of tofu production in West Java that has the suitable agro-climatic conditions for soybeanproduction as a raw material. Some of the farm communities have cultivated soybeans, however they still needs the efforts to increase the soybean production especially for the types of soybean for raw material of tofu production. The aim of IbM activity is to socialize and make a pilot demonstration plot of some of superior soybean varieties for tofu production in Sumedang. The results of these activities include: (1) the demonstration plots of soybean varieties, (2) producing the high seed quality of superior soybean varieties, (3) improving skill and knowledge of farmers in the cultivation of superior soybean varieties and also pest and disease control, (4) obtaining the samples of tofu from superior soybean varieties grown in partner locations.

Abstract

APPLICATION OF DRAGON FRUIT CULTIVATION TECHNOLOGY FOR COASTAL AREAS IN KALIJAGA VILLAGE, HARJAMUKTI DISTRICT, CIREBON CITY. Dragon fruit is one of the growing fruit commodities and is widely known in Indonesia. The distribution process has reached all of Indonesia. The development of dragon fruit in West Java itself is still said to be low, so it is necessary to increase or open a new area for the cultivation process which directly helps in terms of land and water conservation. In West Java alone, one location that has the potential to become a dragon fruit cultivation area is the City of Cirebon. Cirebon City is a strategic city that connects West Java and Central Java. However, the condition of the land in Cirebon is mostly unproductive. So it is necessary to find ways to increase the productivity of the land, namely through the application of technology to cultivate dragon fruit plants in coastal areas. To increase public awareness to reproduce agricultural land in the area, one of them is the process of mentoring the introduction of suitable types of plants grown in the area and appropriate cultivation technology for the area. The area that will be used as partners for this activity is Kalijaga Village, Kec. Harjamukti by involving two farmer groups, Sekar Maju, and Sidemung. The method that will be carried out in this assistance is the process of counseling, practice and making demonstration plots of dragon fruit planting that can be used as a learning tool in the area. From the results of the counseling, it was seen that the community's enthusiasm was high to want to know more about dragon fruit and how to cultivate dragon fruit in the area, so that dragon fruit in the area could develop.

Abstract

SOCIALIZATION OF INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT IN CINTARATU VILLAGE, PARIGI DISTRICT, PANGANDARAN REGENCY. Dragon fruit plant is one of the plants that can be planted in unproductive areas such as in Pangandaran Regency, West Java Province. The problem faced in the cultivation of dragon fruit plants in the area is the high potential for pest attack. Efforts can be made to overcome these problems by increasing the insight and expertise of rural villagers through recovery both materially and in demonstration plot practices. The purpose of this activity is to increase farmers' insight into information on pests and diseases in dragon fruit plants and its integrated handling technology. This activity was carried out in Cintaratu Village, Parigi District, Pangandaran District with an active participatory method in the form of counseling on pest attacks on dragon fruit plants as well as integrated pest management technologies on dragon fruit plants. This program has succeeded in informing about pest attacks and integrated handling technologies on dragon fruit plants in coastal areas. This success was shown based on the responses of enthusiastic extension participants and their interest in applying the technology to the cultivation of dragon fruit plants that they manage. The results of this activity can be seen in the increase in yields from the dragon orchards managed by local residents.

Abstract

Mericlone shoots are shoots of propagation using meristem explants which aim to produce seeds in a short time, large number, and disease-free seed. The aim of this experiment was to find out the best types and concentration of cytokinin to mericlone shoot multiplication of potato Jala Ipam variety. The experiment was carried out at Seed Technology Tissue Culture Laboratory of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University during November 2016 until February 2017. The experimental design was Completely Randomized Design with 13 treatments and 4 replications. Murashige and Skoog Medium with different concentration and types of cytokinine was used in this experiment. The result showed that the type and concentrations of cytokinin give the different effect on the mericlone shoot multiplication of potato Jala Ipam variety. MS medium with the additional of cytokinin 2 -iP 1.5 mg L-1 significantly increased the mericlone shoot multiplication of potato Jala Ipam variety at the variable number of leaves, number of nodes, and the number of branches.

Abstract

Salah satu jenis tanaman hortikultura penting yang banyak dikembangkan di Indonesia adalah tanamantomat (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill). Beberapa cara dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan produksi dan kualitastanaman yang salah satunya adalah dengan mendapatkan varietas unggul baru. Pada tahapan ini maka perludiseleksi terlebih dahulu jenis tomat yang mempunyai hasil baik dan toleran terhadap gangguan organismepenggangu tanaman (OPT). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan kultivar tomat yang baik dari segipertumbuhan yang dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber genetik untuk bahan persilangan. Dalam percobaan inidilakukan identifikasi dan karakterisasi 11 kultivar tomat hasil introduksi yang terdiri dari A: ‘Oxheart’; B:‘Moskvich’; C: ‘Valencia’; D: ‘Marmande’; E: ‘Moneymaker’; F: ‘La Sweetie’; G: ‘Principle Borghese’; H:‘Golden Sunrise’; I: ‘Red Cherry’; J: ‘Black Cherry’; dan K: ‘Golden Jubille’. Hasil pengamatanam menunjukkanbahwa setiap kultivar tomat introduksi mempunyai respon pertumbuhan yang berbeda. Tomat ‘Black Cherry’menunjukan respon pertumbuhan yang terbaik dengan pertimbangan tinggi tanaman, tinggi tandan pertama,diameter batang tanaman, jumlah bunga per tandan, dan jumlah buah per tandan.Serta mempunyai ketahananterhadap serangan organisme pengganggu.Kata kunci: introduksi, pertumbuhan, tomatABSTRACTOne of the important horticultural crops in Indonensia is Tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.). Severalmethods can be used to improve productivity and quality of tomato such as by generating new tomato cultivar withdesired characters. To generate new cultivars therefore new selection in parental tomato is needed to get thepotential parental tomato as genetic background. The purpose of this study was to find out the potential tomatocultivars such as high productivity and quality, adaptive grown in Indonesia and also resistant to pest and disease.Eleven tomato cultivars introduction was used in this experiment consisted of A: 'Oxheart'; B: 'Moskvich'; C:'Valencia'; D: 'Marmande'; E: 'Moneymaker'; F: 'La Sweetie'; G: 'Principle Borghese'; H: 'Golden Sunrise'; I:'Red Cherry'; J: 'Black Cherry'; and K: 'Golden Jubille'. The results showed that each introduced tomato cultivarhas a different response to environmental condition. Tomato ‘Black Cherry’ showed the best plant growthcompared to other cultivars. It had the highest plant height; shoot diameter, no of flower per truss, and no of fruitper truss. Abstract

AbstrakTanaman anggrek banyak digemari oleh masyarakat karena keanekaragamannya. Jenis anggrek yang paling populer adalah Dendrobium sp. Namun pertumbuhan tanaman anggrek cenderung lambat karena masa juvenil yang lama dan proses fotosintesis yang rendah. Oleh karena itu, upaya percepatan proses pertumbuhan sangat diperlukan. Salah satunya adalah aplikasi naungan dan zat pengatur tumbuh (ZPT). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan persentase naungan dan jenis ZPT terbaik untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan Dendrobium. Percobaan dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2020 hingga Januari 2021 di Screenhouse, Kebun Percobaan, Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, Sumedang, Jawa Barat. Percobaan disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Kelompok, terdiri dari sepuluh taraf perlakuan kombinasi antara naungan dan ZPT, yaitu A = naungan 70%, tanpa ZPT; B = naungan 70% + IAA 90 ppm; C = naungan 70% + thidiazuron (TDZ) 50 ppm, D = naungan 70% + GA3 150 ppm; E = naungan 70% + Paclobutrazol 100 ppm; F = naungan 30%, tanpa ZPT; G = naungan 30% + IAA 90 ppm; H = naungan 30% + TDZ 50 ppm; I = naungan 30% + GA3 150 ppm, dan J = naungan 30% + Paclobutrazol 100 ppm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan naungan 70% dapat meningkatkan beberapa komponen pertumbuhan Dendrobium, antara lain tinggi tanaman, jumlah pseudobulb, lebar daun, panjang daun, dan kandungan klorofil. Aplikasi TDZ juga berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah daun, jumlah pseudobulb, dan kandungan klorofil Dendrobium sp. Kata Kunci: Anggrek Dendrobium, naungan, zat pengatur tumbuh, IAA, thidiazuron, GA3, paklobutrazolAbstractOrchid plants are widely popular by society because of its rich diversity. The most popular type of orchid is Dendrobium. However, the growth of orchid plants tend to be slow because of a long juvenile period and a low photosynthesis process. Therefore, the efforts to accelerate the growth process is needed. One of them is the application of shade and plant growth regulator (PGR). This research aimed to obtain the best percentage of shade and types of PGR to increase Dendrobium growth. Experiment was carried out from October 2020 until Januari 2021 at Screenhouse, Experimental Station, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, Sumedang, West Java. Experiment was arranged in Randomized Block Design, consisted of ten levels of combination treatments between shade and PGR, namely A = shading 70%, no PGR; B = shading 70% + IAA 90 ppm; C = shading 70% + thidiazuron (TDZ) 50 ppm, D = shading 70% + GA3 150 ppm; E = shading 70% + Paclobutrazol 100 ppm; F = shading 30%, no PGR; G = shading 30% + IAA 90 ppm; H = shading 30% + TDZ 50 ppm; I = shading 30% + GA3 150 ppm, and J = shading 30% + Paclobutrazol 100 ppm. The result showed that the use of 70% shade could increase several growth components of Dendrobium, including plant height, number of pseudobulb, leaf width, leaf length, and chlorophyll content. The TDZ application also had a significant effect on the number of leaves, number of pseudobulb, and chlorophyll content of Dendrobium sp. Keywords: Dendrobium orchid, shade, plant growth regulator, IAA, thidiazuron, GA3, paclobutrazol.
