Abstract

In this modern era, doing business requires a marketing strategy to market a product. One good marketing method is to utilize a customer database. A database is a collection of data or information stored systematically. Meanwhile, the customer database is data that contains customer personal information, such as name, email, telephone number, age, gender, product search history, transaction history and other demographic and psychographic data. This database can be used to build and maintain a business, as well as establishing good relationships with customers. As Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), the hope is that they can keep up with developments by becoming familiar with data. When you are data literate, it will make it easier for MSMEs to develop their business in this digital era. The customer database will help MSMEs reach more consumers. Utilizing data coupled with knowledge in processing customer databases is one of the keys to successfully managing a business. As an MSME actor, you must also be able to use data optimally. The Sanan tempeh chips center, as one of the areas in Malang City, is the center of a home industry that produces tempeh chips that are still surviving in this global era. The aim of this research is to help MSMEs to manage customer databases, business actors know and of course create the best business strategies

Abstract

Effective verbal communication, including clear explanations and constructive feedback, ensures that students comprehend the material and feel supported. Nonverbal communication, such as gestures, facial expressions, and eye contact, significantly contributes to sustaining student engagement and motivation. This research examines teachers' various verbal and nonverbal communication techniques in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classes and explores their impact on student motivation. The study involved two teachers and 57 students from senior high schools in Indonesia, employing a phenomenological qualitative approach. Data collection methods included observation checklists, interviews, and questionnaires. The analysis revealed that teachers utilized seven distinct verbal communication methods—lecturing, questioning, giving directions, providing praise and encouragement, and offering feedback—and seven nonverbal methods, including eye contact, hand movements, physical proximity, facial expressions, physical appearance, and chronemics (the strategic use of time). Among these, students rated suggestions, praise, and encouragement as the most motivating verbal interactions, while eye contact emerged as the most influential nonverbal factor. These findings underscore the need for targeted teacher training in these communication strategies to foster a more engaging and motivating learning environment, thereby enhancing student learning outcomes in Indonesian EFL contexts.

Abstract

In Indonesia, forest and land fires remain a major environmental issue. In 2022, South Sumatra recorded 51,972 ha of burned land, accounting for 25% of the nationwide total. These incidents resulted in severe air pollution, health risks, economic losses, and environmental degradation, underscoring the urgency of mitigation. This research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining Kernel density analysis, the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) to assess fire mitigation in South Sumatra. The results indicate that Ogan Komering Ilir, Ogan Ilir, Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir, Musi Rawas, and Prabumulih are the most fire-prone districts. Human activity was the dominant factor (0.80), particularly land clearing. The AHP analysis indicated that prevention is the highest priority (0.77), reflecting its cost-effectiveness and sustainability compared to suppression. The IPA emphasized three preventive measures as most effective: hotspot monitoring, water reservoirs, and canal blocks. Hotspot monitoring enables early detection and rapid response, reservoirs maintain soil moisture to reduce fire risk, and canal blocks restore peatland hydrology to limit large-scale burning. Suppression (0.14) ranked second, highlighting its necessity for a rapid response despite its lower effectiveness and higher cost. Management (0.09), although the lowest weighted, remains important for land rehabilitation and ecosystem restoration, despite requiring time and resources. Overall, these findings demonstrate that effective mitigation depends on prioritizing prevention through technology-driven monitoring and water management infrastructure, supported by regulatory enforcement. Suppression and management serve as complementary strategies to strengthen ecosystem resilience. This research provides a foundation for integrating fire prevention into governance frameworks, supporting sustainable forest management in South Sumatra and other fire-prone districts. Abstract

This research uses a literature review or research method by collecting source materials and theories on relevant topics. The aim of this research is to determine the causes of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The results of the discussion showed that the reason Ukraine was attacked by Russia was because of Ukraine's desire to join NATO, so the dispute was resolved by force or by force through war. NATO's actions in responding to this became a threat to Russia which ultimately worsened the conflict on the Ukrainian border. Apart from that, there was the incident of Russian intervention in Crimea (Ukraine). Intervention is the act of interfering with a country in the internal affairs of another country. The background of Russia's intervention into Ukrainian territory was at the request of the President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych with the intention of helping resolve Ukraine's internal conflict, especially in the Crimea region. Russia's intervention was carried out by sending Russian military troops aimed at helping stop the internal conflict in Ukraine, but this action actually developed and did not meet its objectives. These interventions include, among other things, occupying military forces by Russia, holding a referendum in Crimea, as well as providing military support and assistance to separatist groups that threaten the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Ukraine, especially in Crimea.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence teachers' difficulties in using teaching modules as learning tools that support the Independent Curriculum. Teaching modules are an important part of the implementation of independent and differentiated learning, but many teachers face obstacles in their use. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach involving 15 teachers from elementary school levels spread across three schools in Kerinci Regency. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that teachers' difficulties in using teaching modules are influenced by several factors, namely (1) limited understanding of the structure of teaching modules, (2) low digital skills to access and modify modules, (3) limited time to adjust modules to student needs, and (4) lack of adequate technical training. This study recommends increasing training support, providing contextual and flexible modules, and collaboration between teachers in learning communities to reduce these obstacles.

Abstract

Education is a dynamic and complex process that not only serves as a means of transferring knowledge, but also as a platform for developing skills, attitudes, and values to shape quality human resources. The Merdeka Curriculum is an innovative effort to provide flexibility for educators and students in the learning process, emphasizing the importance of character and competency development. One approach that supports the successful implementation of this curriculum is the use of Student Worksheets (LKPD). This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using LKPD in increasing student motivation and engagement in Science (IPA) learning in fourth-grade elementary school. The method used is qualitative research through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the active use of LKPD encourages student participation in discussions and experiments, as well as increasing their motivation and self-confidence. Teachers stated that LKPD facilitates the learning process and encourages students to think critically and creatively. These findings are reinforced by Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, which explains that learning motivation will increase if students' basic needs up to self-actualization are met. LKPD designed in a contextual, gradual, and interactive manner has proven capable of meeting these needs. Thus, LKPD can serve as a stimulus in enhancing students' learning motivation while also functioning as an effective and enjoyable learning medium in supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.
