Abstract

School management plays a crucial role in improving the quality of education at the primary school level, particularly in optimizing learning processes and educational services. This study aims to examine school management practices in enhancing educational quality at UPTD SD Negeri 3 Batu Tungku, Panyipatan District. The study focuses on three main aspects: school program planning, program implementation, and the challenges encountered during the management process. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through interviews with the principal and teachers, classroom and school-area observations, and document analysis of school plans and evaluations. The findings indicate that school program planning includes curriculum development, teacher competency enhancement, student character development, and improvement of basic school facilities. Program implementation is carried out through coordination between the principal, teachers, and the school committee, yet several challenges persist, such as limited financial resources, fluctuating community participation, and insufficient use of educational technology. The study highlights that improving educational quality requires visionary school leadership, systematic program planning, and strong collaboration among stakeholders. Effective school management has the potential to strengthen learning quality and support continuous improvement in student achievement.

Abstract

Subitization is an important aspect of early numeracy that enables children to recognize small quantities without counting and serves as a foundation for number sense development. Although wetland environments provide rich opportunities for contextualized numeracy learning, their potential remains underutilized in many early childhood education settings. This study investigated teachers’ understanding and implementation of subitization-related activities and explored the extent to which wetland contexts are incorporated into early numeracy learning. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through interviews and classroom observations involving teachers from Pembina Inti Kindergarten in Banjarmasin, Indonesia. Data were analyzed through condensation, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that teachers regularly engage children in activities that support subitization, such as dice, domino, and object-recognition games. However, they do not explicitly identify these practices as subitization. This indicates a gap between intuitive classroom practice and intentional pedagogical understanding. In addition, wetland resources and experiences are rarely integrated into numeracy activities despite their relevance to children’s local environment. The study highlights the need for professional development and curriculum support to bridge intuitive practice and intentional pedagogy in subitization learning and to promote the meaningful integration of wetland contexts into early childhood numeracy education.

Abstract

This study is based on the importance of a father's role in adolescents' psychological and academic development. The absence of a father figure (fatherless) can affect adolescent development, including academic self-efficacy. Previous studies have focused more on the impact of fatherlessness on academic achievement, while studies examining its relationship with academic self-efficacy, particularly the strength dimension, remain limited. Therefore, this study focuses on examining the relationship between fatherless conditions and the strength dimension of academic self-efficacy among adolescents. This study aims to describe academic self-efficacy (strength dimension) and the condition of fatherless adolescents among students at SMA Negeri 11 Banjarmasin, as well as to analyze the relationship between the two variables. This study employed a quantitative approach using a correlational method. The sample consisted of 240 respondents selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires administered to the respondents. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Spearman's Rho correlation test with the assistance of IBM SPSS version 29. The results showed that academic self-efficacy (strength dimension) was in the high category, with a percentage of 50%, while the condition of fatherless adolescents was in the low category, with a percentage of 45.42%. The hypothesis testing results showed a correlation coefficient of -0.193 with a significance value of 0.003 (< 0.05), indicating a significant relationship between fatherless conditions and academic self-efficacy. Thus, there was a weak negative relationship between fatherless conditions and academic self-efficacy (strength dimension) among students at SMA Negeri 11 Banjarmasin ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peran ayah dalam perkembangan psikologis dan akademik remaja.

Abstract

Korean drama is one type of entertainment that is very popular, which not only presents stories, but also represents life experiences that are relevant to its viewers. However, research that examines the role of drama viewing in relation to psychological aspects, especially resilience influenced by social support, is still limited. This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and resilience among viewers of the drama Twenty-Five Twenty-One. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The research subjects consisted of 129 respondents aged 13–50 years who had watched at least 75% of the episodes, selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using an online questionnaire consisting of a social support scale based on the theory of Sidney Cobb (1976) and a resilience scale, the Brief Resilience Scale by Smith et al. (2008). Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson correlation test. The results of the study show that there is a positive and significant relationship between social support and resilience (r = 0.333; p < 0.05). These findings show that social support plays a role in increasing resilience, and indicate that drama media can be a means of reflection that contributes to strengthening mental resilience in the context of counseling.
