Abstract

The purpose of this research was toinvestigate the effect of Discovery Learning  model on student learning outcomes on the theme Object Around Usat 5th grade of Elementary School integrated thematic learning. This research is a quantitative research with quasi experimental research design. The population of this research is the students of 5th grade of elementary school in Region Six Garegeh of Bukittinggi City. The sample of this research is the 5th grade students of SDN 04 Garegeh consisting of two classes with the number of students VA class is 33 students and VB class is 32 students. Sampling was done by random sampling. Based on the research that has been done, obtained tcount> ttable that is 7,185 > 1,998 with α = 0,05 so it can be concluded Ha accepted that there is influence the use of Discovery Learning model of student learning outcomes. Keyword : Discovery Learning model, learning outcomes

Abstract

The current era of globalization has succeeded in creating various problems and challenges of human life. The ability to solve problems and challenges of life is very necessary. The place for education, especially science, is the main key so that citizens are able to live their lives well. The phenomenon of the low mastery of integrated science content of students at the basic education level cannot be separated from the dimensions of their literacy attitude. These dimensions include the application of science, knowledge of science, the process of science, and patterns of behavior towards science. The aim of this study was to describe the scientific literacy skills of students in learning with factual texts. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. A total of 40 students were used as sources of information to view and obtain a literacy competency profile in science learning. Data were collected through observation and tests through a number of questions to obtain information on the dimensions of students' literacy attitudes. The research finding is that there is an increase in learning progress based on the results of the pretest and posttest with a difference of 15.8 points for the overall PISA competency aspect. The competence aspect of explaining scientific phenomena obtained the lowest average result, while the competence aspect of evaluating and interpreting the data obtained a higher average result. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of science learning in schools should be more meaningful for students so that they are able to have higher literacy skills, especially scientific literacy. This can be achieved by applying holistic and integrative learning in science learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perlunya inovasi berupa media pembelajaran yang tepat untuk proses pembelajaran pada masa pandemi covid 19. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi berbantuan adobe flash cs 6 yang valid untuk digunakan pada masa pandemi covid 19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model 4-D. penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa media yang dikembangkan dikategorikan sangat valid oleh pakar ahli. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan sangat layak untuk digunakan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah dapat dijadikan sebagai referensi dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran pada masa pandemi covid-19

Abstract

Media dalam pembelajaran seni dan budaya  sangat dibutuhkan. Pembelajaran seni budaya dan keterampilan merupakan pelajaran yang dapat membangun kreativitas peserta didik bekal kehidupannya kelak. Muatan pelajaran yang ada dalam seni budaya dan ketermpilan tidak hanya mengembangkan kemampuan kognitif, seharusnya mampu mengembangkan afektif dan psikomotornya juga. Dalam lagu, tari dan seni rupa akan dapat mengembangkan karakter bangsa sebagai tujuan pendidikan nasional. Permasalahan ketidakmampuan pendidik dalam melasanakan pembelajaran ini hingga yang terukur hanya kognitif dapat diatasi dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan pada artikel ini adalah Iliteratur review

Abstract

This research aims to develop a practical and valid media video learning with Powtoon video in Science learning for fifth grade students SDN 08 Minangkabau oriented to Problem Based Learning (PBL). This research is included as Research and Development (R&D) using ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. This research is held on 2020/2021 academic year. Subjects of this research are three experts; material expert, media expert, and design expert, a fifth-grade teacher, and 16 fifth grade students. Instruments that are used in this research are expert validation sheet, teacher’s questionnaire sheet, and student’s questionnaire sheets. The result of this study shows that; 1) Media powtoon usage in Science learning oriented to Problem Based Learning (PBL) for fifth grade students SDN 08 Minangkabau is stated very valid by the experts with overall average score 92%, 2) Students and teacher’s responds result shows that Science learning with Powtoon media get average score 91,6% and 97,05%, both of them are categorized as very practical. As the result, it can be concluded that media video powtoon usage is very valid and practical in learning Science for fifth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the ARCS model to improve student learning outcomes in intergrated thematic learning in class IV UPTD SD N 01 IV Koto Talago, Lima Puluh Kota district. In this study, the type of classroom action research (CAR) was applied using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The subjects of this study were teachers and students of class IV, totaling 19 people. The results showed an increase in: a) RPP cycle I with an average of 82,9% (Enough) and cycle II with an average of 95,45% (Very Good), b) Imlement in the teacher activity of cycle I with an average of 81,25% (Enough) and cycle II with an average of 95% (Very Good), c) Imlement in the student activity of cycle I with an average of 81,25% (Enough) and cycle II with an average of 92,5% (Very Good). And student learning outcomes in the first cycle obtained an average of 74,75(Less) and in the second cycle 89,1 (Good). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the ARCS model can improve the learning process integrated thematic learning in grade IV elementary school.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out out the effect creative problem solving model to student’s problem solving ability in natural science learning for primary students. the research used a quantitative approach with experimental research by using quasi-experiment. This research was done in SDN 060827 at grade V consisting of two paralel classes and the object of the research was 30 students with two paralel classes. The data collection techniques obtined by students’ sheet of learning activity and observation sheet for Assessment and interview. The research procedure was used planning, action, observation, and reflection. The result of this research were students’ ability to solve problem could improve by using the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model in the classroom interaction of natural science learning for primary students.

Abstract

Logical thinking is analyzing a situation and coming up with a reasonable solution. It is crucial because it can help a person reason through crucial decisions, solve problems, generate creative ideas, and set goals to be achieved, all of which are needed to develop self-competence. This study aims to explain students' difficulties in logical thinking ability in elementary education on a natural science course. This study is qualitative using the literature review technique about students' difficulties in logical thinking. The results of the analysis have shown that the difficulties faced by students in developing logical thinking ability are in determining alternatives for the problems given; choosing and solving problems in natural science given by lecturers, and in students to understand. The causes of students having difficulties in developing logical thinking are not used to solving problems in natural science that need logical thinking. In addition, students are less creative in choosing or looking for the right strategy for the problems given. Finally, students are less thorough in solving problems in natural science

Abstract

The integrated thematic learning process in elementary schools tends to be conventional and uses limited learning resources such as textbooks without being accompanied by learning media, so that students are dominantly bored and lazy to study. Students are given scientific literacy questions, the results obtained by students are still low. The research objective is to produce digital comics as an alternative technology-based learning media that can improve students' scientific literacy. The type of research chosen is R&D research with the ADDIE development model, namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Research instruments in the form of questionnaires or questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The research design used was a pretest and posttest in the form of multiple-choice evaluation questions containing the domain of scientific literacy with a total of 18 questions for Indonesian subjects, 12 questions each for Mathematics and SBDP subjects. Comic validation involves five validators, each from a material, media design, and constructor expert. The results of the validity of comics obtained an average score of 89 (B) for the media, the average score of 89 (B) for the material, and the average construct was 92 (SB). Students' scientific literacy obtained an average score of 86.30 Indonesian (B) with a mastery percentage of 89%. Mathematics 85.00 (B) with 89% completeness percentage. The average SBDP score is 92.10 (SB) with a 100% completeness percentage. Thus, the development of PBL-oriented digital comics to improve students' scientific literacy is declared valid, practical, and effective

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan penalaran numerik siswa kelas III SD Negeri 25 Padang dalam menjawab soal yang berbasis mathematical cognition. Subjek peneilitan ini adalah SD Negeri 25 Parupuk Tabing Padang kelas III yang terdiri dari 16 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes dan wawancara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Berdasarkan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran numerik siswa masih rendah dalam menyelesaikan soal berbasis mathematical cognition. Siswa tidak mampu memahami angka dan memberikan alasan mengenai hubungan antar angka.
