Abstract

Karya sastra merupakan cerminan pandangan pengarang terhadap realitas sebagai bagian dari lembaga sosial yang dibentuk oleh penulis itu sendiri. Dalam karya sastra, berbagai persoalan sering dirangkai menjadi pandangan hidup maupun kritik sosial yang mencerminkan kehidupan masyarakat di sekitarnya. Salah satu bentuk karya sastra yang menampilkan pandangan terhadap realitas sosial adalah puisi Taufiq Ismail yang berjudul "Syair Orang Lapar". Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap makna dampak sosial yang terkandung dalam puisi tersebut. Puisi ini menggambarkan kondisi manusia ketika dihadapkan pada situasi yang sulit, serta mengajak pembaca untuk lebih peka terhadap keadaan sosial di sekelilingnya. Alasan pemilihan puisi ini adalah penggunaan bahasa yang lugas dan konkret, yang memungkinkan pemaknaan isi menjadi lebih tajam dan menyeluruh. Penelitian ini menggunakan m le kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra dan teknik analisis deskriptif. Peneliti berperan sebagai instrumen utama dalam proses pengumpulan dan analisis data, dengan mencatat berbagai hal yang relevan terkait dampak sosial dalam puisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa puisi "Syair Orang Lapar menggambarkan tiga bentuk dampak sosial di masyarakat, yaitu: (1) ketidaksiapan menghadapi musim kemarau, (2) terbatasnya ruang untuk mengekspresikan kebebasan, dan (3) konsekuensi dari bencana alam. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa meskipun bencana alam tidak dapat dihindari, manusia dapat mempersiapkan diri untuk menghadapinya, terutama dari sisi sosial.

Abstract

Fenomena penggunaan bahasa Indonesia bercampur bahasa Inggris sudah menjadi hal biasa di era globalisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak globalisasi terhadap penggunaan bahasa Indonesia bercampur bahasa Inggris dan menjelaskan tentang kesalahan dalam pencampuran bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data dari media sosial TikTok. Penelitian menemukan bahwa penggunaan bahasa Indonesia bercampur bahasa Inggris sangat umum terjadi di media sosial TikTok. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah dampak globalisasi menyebabkan terjadinya berbagai kesalahan dalam penggunaan bahasa Indonesia, seperti penggunaan bahasa campuran yang tidak sesuai dengan situasi dan penggunaan bahasa yang tidak benar. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk menjaga penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dengan benar dan tidak tercampur dengan bahasa Inggris untuk menunjukkan jati diri bangsa dan melestarikan budaya bangsa. Abstract

Research on social criticism in the collection of Puisi Mbeling by Remy Sylado is important because these aspects emerged as a response to the repression of the Orde Baru through the use of rhymes, spontaneous line breaks, and typography that deviates from conventions to become a symbol of rebellion against the oppressive social and political system. This study aims to examine social criticism in the collection of Puisi Mbeling by Remy Shylado through rhyme, typography, and enjambment. Qualitative methods were used in this study on 5 data sources on poetry that best represent social criticism, such as 1) Dendam pada Imperialisme-Kolonialisme, 2) Cintaku Tati, 3) Pelestarian Tradisi Birokrasi, 4) Atas Nama Rakyat, and 5) Catatan Kaki. These poems are included in the book Puisi Mbeling by Remy Shylado published by Kepustakaan Populer Gramedia in 2023 (second printing). The data collection and analysis techniques were carried out in several ways, namely 1) reading carefully, 2) collecting by marking data, and 3) presenting the results of data analysis in each line and stanza of the poem. The results of the study showed that the poet succeeded in peeling away social criticism in the collection of Puisi Mbeling through analysis of rhyme, typography, and enjambment in a brilliant and interesting way.

Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers' knowledge regarding the implementation of Student-Centered Learning (SCL) in Indonesian language instruction to enhance students' 21st-century skills. The research employs a descriptive qualitative-quantitative approach aimed at exploring the perspectives of high school Indonesian language teachers. The research sample consists of 16 Indonesian language teachers from various public and private high schools in Bandar Lampung City. Data were analyzed using descriptive techniques to identify patterns related to socio-demographic factors, teacher knowledge of SCL, implementation practices, and teacher views. This study found that Indonesian language teachers at senior high schools in Bandar Lampung have a good understanding of SCL, including its concept, benefits, challenges, strategies, and implementation. In general, they perceive the implementation of SCL in Indonesian language instruction as quite effective and believe that it can enhance students’ achievement and motivation in developing 21st-century skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to empower teachers in Bandar Lampung City to analyze their needs in the use of learning technology. Provide training or solutions to utilize technology media to improve language literacy. Empower teachers to be more adaptive and innovative in language teaching by providing guidance and mentoring on character and literacy. In addition, teachers are also trained on how to create learning media with technology in empowering creative, digital-based language literacy. The design method used in this community service is classroom action through teachers. In collecting data, the community service team conducted observations at partner locations, interviewing teachers there about obstacles faced in teaching and learning. After that, the community service team carried out planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities. The results of the community service target achievement increased teachers' abilities in strengthening students' character and students' interest in reading. This can be seen from the evaluation of the implementation of language literacy empowerment through interesting technology-based learning media. In addition, students can also develop interest and appreciation for language and literature through enjoyable experiences.

Abstract

The poem Hendak Jadi “Orang Besar?” by Bung Usman is a literary work that delivers profound social criticism and moral admonition. This study adopts a stylistic approach using a descriptive qualitative method to analyze linguistic elements such as metaphors, irony, and satire that create a critical tone in the poem. Data were obtained through library research and analyzed based on the poet's choice of words, structure, and linguistic style to convey the intended message.The findings indicate that the poem Hendak Jadi “Orang Besar?” by Bung Usman employs metaphors to depict the negative impact of uncontrolled ambition, irony to highlight the emptiness of achievements without morality, and satire to critique selfish behaviors that disregard social values. The poem sharply illustrates the social realities of its time while inviting readers to reflect on values such as integrity, responsibility, and humanity in achieving true success. The moral messages conveyed in this poem remain relevant today, making it a meaningful social reflection worthy of appreciation.

Abstract

Abstrak: Sastra lisan, khususnya dalam genre puisi, memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga dan mewariskan nilai-nilai budaya masyarakat Lampung. Salah satu bentuknya adalah puisi “Tapis Berseri” yang sarat dengan pesan moral dan simbolik tentang kehidupan sosial budaya masyarakat Lampung. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana nilai-nilai simbolik budaya masyarakat Lampung direpresentasikan dalam puisi “T apis Berseri” serta makna yang terkandung di balik simbol-simbol budaya tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap dan menganalisis nilai simbolik budaya yang termuat dalam puisi tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-analitis dengan pendekatan kualitatif, melalui analisis terhadap struktur teks dan nilai-nilai budaya yang dihadirkan dalam karya sastra tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa puisi “Tapis Berseri” mengandung ajakan untuk melestarikan dan mengembangkan budaya Lampung melalui prinsip-prinsip seperti sakai sambayan (gotong royong), nemui nyimah (sopan santun), dan nengah nyappur (kerja keras dengan tenggang rasa). Selain itu, puisi ini juga mencerminkan keragaman masyarakat Lampung yang terdiri atas penduduk asli dan pendatang, serta menekankan pentingnya kerja sama antar lapisan masyarakat untuk mewujudkan cita-cita bersama dalam memajukan budaya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan dan hasil pelatihan pengembangan e-modul menulis teks berita bagi guru SMP se-Kota Bandar Lampung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah participatory action research (PAR) dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, angket pre-test dan post-test, serta wawancara semi-terstruktur. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengacu pada model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan guru setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Skor rata-rata pemahaman struktur berita meningkat dari 55% menjadi 82%, penguasaan kaidah bahasa dari 50% menjadi 78%, kemampuan menulis teks berita dari 48% menjadi 80%, dan penguasaan teknologi e-modul dari 45% menjadi 85%. Peningkatan tersebut membuktikan efektivitas pelatihan berbasis praktik dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pedagogis maupun teknologis guru. Namun, peningkatan aspek kaidah kebahasaan relatif lebih rendah dibandingkan aspek lainnya, sehingga memerlukan tindak lanjut dalam pelatihan lanjutan.   This study aims to describe the implementation and results of training on developing an e-module for writing news texts for junior high school teachers in Bandar Lampung City. The research method used was participatory action research (PAR) with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through participant observation, pre- and post-test questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods, referring to the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model. The results showed a significant improvement in teacher skills after the training. The average score for understanding news structure increased from 55% to 82%, mastery of language rules from 50% to 78%, news text writing ability from 48% to 80%, and mastery of e-module technology from 45% to 85%. These improvements demonstrate the effectiveness of practice-based training in improving teachers' pedagogical and technological skills. However, improvement in linguistic rules was relatively low compared to other aspects, requiring follow-up training.

Abstract

Indonesian language proficiency among junior high school students is an essential component of academic development and effective communication; however, differences based on gender during early adolescence remain underexplored. This study aims to describe Indonesian language proficiency levels of junior high school students in Lampung Province based on gender using data from the Indonesian Language Proficiency Test (UKBI). A quantitative descriptive research design was employed, utilizing secondary data from 8,204 UKBI participants, consisting of 3,192 male students (38.91%) and 5,012 female students (61.09%). Language proficiency was measured through three UKBI sections: listening, responding to grammatical rules, and reading comprehension, with the final score obtained from the average of these sections. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques, including mean scores and standard deviation, to examine proficiency levels and score distributions by gender. The findings reveal that the overall Indonesian language proficiency of junior high school students in Lampung Province is at a moderate level. Female students consistently achieved higher average scores than male students across all sections. Reading comprehension emerged as the strongest skill area, while listening showed the lowest performance for both genders. The relatively low standard deviation values indicate that students’ scores tend to cluster around the mean. In conclusion, Indonesian language proficiency differs by gender, with female students demonstrating superior performance in listening, grammatical sensitivity, and reading comprehension. These results highlight the need for gender-responsive instructional strategies, particularly to strengthen listening and grammatical competencies among male students.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically review the development of poetry literature e-modules that integrate social analysis in literary learning, with a specific focus on the poem Pulang by Isbedy Stiawan Z.S. The research is motivated by the dominance of poetry e-modules that emphasize structural and aesthetic elements while neglecting the social realities and ideological contexts represented in literary texts. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this study analyzed scholarly articles, theses, dissertations, and academic books related to e-module development, poetry learning, and social analysis in literature. Data were collected from national and international academic databases using predefined keywords and selection criteria. The findings reveal that most existing poetry e-modules focus on form-based appreciation, technological innovation, and local wisdom, but rarely integrate explicit social analysis addressing issues such as marginalization, poverty, and social inequality. This gap indicates the need for e-modules that position poetry as a medium for critical reflection and social awareness. Based on the review, this study proposes a conceptual direction for developing a poetry e-module on Pulang that integrates sociological and critical literacy approaches to enhance students’ social literacy, critical thinking, and cultural awareness. The study concludes that poetry e-modules grounded in social analysis are essential to support meaningful, contextual, and transformative literature learning aligned with 21st-century educational demands.
