Abstract

This study aimed to examine the mediating role of educational service quality in the relationship between principal leadership and teacher job satisfaction in disadvantaged educational settings. A quantitative explanatory research design was employed involving 310 junior high school teachers from rural area. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire measuring principal leadership, educational service quality, and teacher job satisfaction. The proposed relationships were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine both direct and indirect effects among the constructs. The results revealed that principal leadership had significant positive effects on both teacher job satisfaction and educational service quality. Educational service quality also significantly enhanced teacher job satisfaction. Furthermore, educational service quality partially mediated the relationship between principal leadership and teacher job satisfaction, indicating that effective school leadership improves teacher satisfaction both directly and indirectly by fostering higher-quality educational services. These findings highlight the importance of service-oriented leadership practices in strengthening teacher well-being and enhancing school performance in disadvantaged educational settings. The study contributes to the educational leadership literature by demonstrating the mediating mechanism through which principal leadership influences teacher job satisfaction and provides empirical evidence to support leadership development strategies aimed at improving educational service quality and sustainable school effectiveness in rural area.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the strengths and weaknesses of green leadership implementation in school environments as a response to the increasingly pressing climate crisis today. Using a qualitative approach with a scoping review method, this study successfully analyzed eight selected scientific articles obtained from the Scopus and Google Scholar databases based on strict inclusion and exclusion criteria. The analysis results indicate that green leadership practices significantly positively impact various aspects of education, such as improving student academic achievement, teacher collaboration, equalizing access to education, and strengthening a culture of environmental care. However, this study also reveals challenges in measuring effectiveness due to the lack of comprehensive implementation guidelines. Therefore, the development of a systematic sustainable leadership strategy is needed to prevent managerial chaos and support a consistent vision of sustainability in the school environment

Abstract

This study examines the management of inclusive educational infrastructure in early childhood education for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at the EDUfa Autism Therapy Center. Using a qualitative case study design, the research investigates how physical learning environments are planned, utilized, and adapted to support children’s sensory, social, and learning needs. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews with therapists, parents, and administrators, and document analysis, and were analyzed thematically. The findings reveal that EDUfa integrates educational and therapeutic functions through sensory-responsive classroom design, transition spaces, and life-skills-oriented facilities. Infrastructure management is characterized by adaptability, collaborative decision-making, and continuous evaluation involving multiple stakeholders. However, financial limitations and shortages of specialized personnel remain significant challenges. The study underscores that effective infrastructure management is central to inclusive, child-centered early childhood education and offers practical insights for institutions seeking to develop inclusive learning environments in resource-constrained contexts.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze systemic incoherence in partnership-based vocational education financing for fisheries and marine Teaching Factories. The study was conducted using a qualitative case study design to understand how financing mechanisms, industry partnerships, production-based learning, governance practices, and institutional arrangements interact within a real vocational education setting. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, field observations, document analysis, and stakeholder confirmation involving school leaders, finance officers, productive teachers, Teaching Factory managers, and industry partners. The findings show that the Teaching Factory was supported by multiple financing sources, industry collaboration, and real production-based learning through vaname shrimp farming. However, these components had not yet formed a fully coherent and integrated financing system. Five main forms of systemic incoherence were identified: misalignment between policy direction and production needs, administrative financing and productive financing, industry partnership and learning design, formal planning and field dynamics, and formal governance and adaptive coordination. The study concludes that the main challenge in partnership-based vocational education financing is not merely funding adequacy or the existence of industry partnership, but the weak integration among financing, production, partnership, governance, and learning. Therefore, vocational schools and policymakers should develop an integrated financing governance model that connects accountability with operational flexibility, institutionalises industry partnership, supports production risk management, and strengthens the sustainability of production-based vocational education. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis inkoherensi sistemik dalam pembiayaan pendidikan vokasi berbasis kemitraan pada Teaching Factory sektor perikanan dan kelautan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi kasus kualitatif untuk memahami interaksi antara mekanisme pembiayaan, kemitraan industri, pembelajaran berbasis produksi, tata kelola sekolah, dan pengaturan kelembagaan dalam konteks pendidikan vokasi nyata. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi lapangan, analisis dokumen, dan konfirmasi pemangku kepentingan yang melibatkan pimpinan sekolah, pengelola keuangan, guru produktif, pengelola Teaching Factory, serta mitra industri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Teaching Factory didukung oleh berbagai sumber pembiayaan, kolaborasi industri, dan pembelajaran berbasis produksi nyata melalui budidaya udang vaname. Namun, berbagai komponen tersebut belum membentuk sistem pembiayaan yang sepenuhnya koheren dan terintegrasi. Lima bentuk utama inkoherensi sistemik ditemukan, yaitu ketidaksesuaian antara arah kebijakan dan kebutuhan produksi, pembiayaan administratif dan pembiayaan produktif, kemitraan industri dan desain pembelajaran, perencanaan formal dan dinamika lapangan, serta tata kelola formal dan koordinasi adaptif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tantangan utama bukan semata-mata kecukupan dana atau keberadaan kemitraan industri, melainkan lemahnya integrasi antara pembiayaan, produksi, kemitraan, tata kelola, dan pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, sekolah vokasi dan pembuat kebijakan perlu mengembangkan model tata kelola pembiayaan terintegrasi yang menghubungkan akuntabilitas dengan fleksibilitas operasional, melembagakan kemitraan industri, mendukung manajemen risiko produksi, dan memperkuat keberlanjutan pendidikan vokasi berbasis produksi.
