Abstract

In the era of globalisation and the information technology revolution, businesses are faced with increasingly complex and dynamic challenges. Business managers and company executives are required to make the right and fast strategic decisions to maintain the company's competitive advantage in a rapidly changing market. Along with the development of AI and NLP, technology applications in business management have undergone significant developments. One of the latest promising innovations is the use of ChatGPT in the context of business management and strategic decision-making. This research aims to investigate the application of ChatGPT in the context of business management and strategic decision-making. This research is a literature review that adopts a qualitative method approach, which means it will analyse and interpret data by relying on information and text from various sources. The study results show that the application of ChatGPT in business management and strategic decision-making offers great potential for improving the efficiency, productivity and quality of decision-making. With its ability to provide quick responses, in-depth data analysis and personalised interactions, ChatGPT can be a valuable intelligent assistant for enterprises. Key benefits of using ChatGPT in business management are improved customer service, business process automation, and more data-driven decision-making.

Abstract

In the rapidly evolving era of globalization and digitization, organizations are confronted with swiftly developing challenges. Human resource management (HRM) emerges as a primary key in responding to these dynamics, with employee development serving as a crucial focus to ensure organizational competitiveness and sustained performance. This research aims to investigate and develop innovative strategies in HRM based on information technology (IT), with a specific focus on enhancing organizational performance. The study employs an extensive review of existing literature utilizing qualitative analysis to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the subject, spanning the period from 2012 to 2023. The study's findings indicate that the revitalization of organizational performance through innovative strategies in IT-based human resource development marks a significant step in facing contemporary business challenges. The integration of information technology not only enhances the efficiency of employee training and development but also enables organizations to make smarter decisions based on real-time data analysis. Various technologies such as virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and collaborative tools create a new landscape for human resource management, fostering a culture of continuous learning and enhancing organizational creativity and resilience.

Abstract

Digital transformation has reshaped the business landscape, compelling organizations to confront new challenges in terms of technology, business processes, and operational models. This research aims to identify and analyze effective strategies in developing human resources to respond to the digital transformation era, particularly in the context of business information systems. The study employs an in-depth review of existing literature through qualitative analysis to gain a comprehensive understanding of the subject, covering the period from 2012 to 2023. The study's findings indicate that in the face of the rapidly evolving digital transformation era, the role of Human Resources (HR) is crucial for organizational success, especially in the context of Business Information Systems. Digital transformation necessitates organizations to adapt and leverage innovative information technology to maintain their competitiveness. Strategic Engineering of Human Resources Development (HRD) becomes an essential foundation for effectively managing these changes. This process involves planning, development, and implementation of strategies to build HR capabilities that can address the challenges of the digital transformation era.

Abstract

Human resource development (HRD) is a key factor in driving economic growth, particularly among small businesses. Skilled and competent human resources can enhance productivity and efficiency, thereby fostering faster economic growth. This research aims to identify and analyze effective HRD strategies in boosting the economic growth of small businesses within community settings. This study employs a literature review method with a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis. Data sourced from Google Scholar span publications between 2001 and 2024. Findings indicate that HRD plays a crucial role in enhancing the economic growth of small businesses within communities. Skilled and trained human resources can elevate productivity, efficiency, and innovation, thus enhancing the quality of products and services offered and business competitiveness. including access to education, financial limitations, and inadequate infrastructure. Effective HRD strategies should address these challenges through educational and training programs, improving working conditions, leadership development, and collaboration among stakeholders

Abstract

Indonesia, situated within the Pacific Ring of Fire and tropical regions, faces significant vulnerability to natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and floods. Its geographical conditions heighten the risk of frequent natural disasters, which often have extensive and profound impacts on society and the economy. This study aims to analyze the role of public administration in natural disaster mitigation and its implications for economic stability. It employs a literature review methodology with a qualitative approach, drawing data from scholarly articles available on Google Scholar from 2011 to 2024. The findings underscore the critical importance of public administration in disaster mitigation for maintaining the economic stability of the country. Indonesia, as a nation vulnerable to various natural disasters, has experienced serious human and material losses. The response from the government and related agencies, such as the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), has been pivotal in coordinating mitigation efforts, emergency response, and post-disaster recovery

Abstract

Dalam iklim bisnis yang semakin kompetitif, Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memainkan peran penting dalam ekonomi, baik secara lokal maupun nasional. Oleh karena itu, UMKM harus menghadapi berbagai tantangan terkait manajemen risiko, kepuasan pelanggan, dan efisiensi operasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dinamika antara manajemen risiko, kepuasan pelanggan, dan efisiensi operasional dalam konteks UMKM dan bagaimana interaksi ini memengaruhi keberhasilan mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode tinjauan pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif, mengumpulkan data dari publikasi Google Scholar antara tahun 2004 dan 2024. Studi ini mengonfirmasi bahwa manajemen risiko, kepuasan pelanggan, dan efisiensi operasional adalah faktor kunci yang saling terkait dan memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap keberhasilan UMKM di pasar yang kompetitif. Melalui analisis studi kasus yang relevan, terlihat bahwa strategi manajemen risiko yang efektif dapat membantu UMKM menghadapi ketidakpastian pasar dan mempertahankan stabilitas operasional. Kepuasan pelanggan yang tinggi, dicapai melalui kualitas produk dan layanan yang unggul, berkontribusi pada pertumbuhan dan loyalitas pelanggan. Efisiensi operasional, yang dicapai melalui inovasi teknologi dan perbaikan proses, memungkinkan UMKM untuk mengurangi biaya dan meningkatkan daya saing. Integrasi ketiga faktor ini memungkinkan UMKM untuk menghadapi tantangan pasar dan mencapai pertumbuhan yang berkelanjutan

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of English proficiency and digital competence on students' academic achievement, with critical thinking skills as a mediating variable. The research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method and SEM-PLS data analysis to examine the relationships between the variables. A purposive sampling technique is applied to select students meeting specific criteria, resulting in a sample of 122 students from Malang, Indonesia. Data were collected through an online questionnaire. This study reveals that English proficiency and digital competence have a significant impact on students' academic achievement, both directly and through critical thinking skills as a factor that strengthens this relationship. Good English proficiency contributes to better academic outcomes, such as higher grades, task quality, class participation, and presentation skills. Similarly, high digital competence helps students utilize technology for learning and effective communication, which also positively impacts their academic achievement. Interestingly, critical thinking skills play a crucial role in connecting these two factors with academic achievement. This means that students who are capable of critical thinking are more likely to maximize their English proficiency and use of technology, which in turn enhances their academic performance.

Abstract

In the era of globalisation, social diversity is increasingly becoming common in society. This diversity can manifest in various forms, such as differences in religion, ethnicity, race, and culture. This diversity is often a source of conflict and tension in society. Schools as one of the educational institutions are expected to contribute to creating a harmonious and peaceful society, where diversity is accepted and respected. This study aims to analyse the role of civic education in enhancing diversity and tolerance in schools. This research is qualitative in nature. Data collection techniques include listening and recording important information to conduct data analysis through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. This study shows the results that civic education has an important role in improving diversity and tolerance in schools. Through civic education, students can understand national values, rights and obligations as citizens, and develop an attitude of tolerance towards cultural, religious and ethnic differences.

Abstract

Higher education is one of the important stages in preparing students to enter the world of work. In addition to demanding high academic abilities, the world of work also expects graduates to have qualified soft skills. The purpose of this study is to analyse philosophy education as a means of developing students' soft skills. This research is qualitative in nature. Data collection techniques include listening and recording important information to conduct data analysis through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that innovative and creative philosophy teaching can motivate students, while students' needs and interests need to be considered in teaching. Lecturers have an important role in guiding and facilitating discussions and debates in class, so that students can develop critical thinking skills, good argumentation, public speaking, empathy, and cooperation.
