Abstract

This research analyzes the relationship between sustainability practices and business outcomes in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Sustainability in the context of SMEs managed by the head of the family (a one-man show) is characterized by the ability of SMEs to survive and succeed in a dynamic, competitive, and challenging business environment. SMEs must adapt to the changing environment and take strategies to achieve a balance between the Triple Bottom Line, namely people, planet, and profit, reducing pollution and degrading resources in the long term. The purpose of this article is to comprehend the nature of the sustainability of SMEs managed by the family's head. The results of the analysis show that SMEs must be able to survive economic and social changes, engage in responsible and ethical business practices, use natural resources effectively and protect the environment, and provide high-quality products and services. The results of this paper are in the form of metrics to measure how well SMEs meet the needs of stakeholders. With this sustainability metric, SMEs can observe further using the theme of sustainable practices. Thematic network analysis looks into the following major topics: (1) environmental concern behavior; (2) image and reputation; (3) economic interests; (4) social; and (5) environment. This study also discusses the important implications for SMEs who want to improve performance based on the Triple Bottom Line Theory and business sustainability.

Abstract

In this study, the use of intellectual capital, work environment, and human resources engagement variables was associated with the performance of the community health center (in Indonesia: puskesmas). The sub-district health centers in Kebayoran Lama District in South Jakarta were the subject of this study, involving about 34 health workers as research samples. All health workers in the population were used as a sample because the saturation sampling technique was used when there were less than 100 samples. The Likert scale was used to measure the variables involved in this lesson. This study used a questionnaire, quantitative methodology, and structural equation models (SEM) with the partial least squares (PLS) technique for analysis. The SMARTPLS 3.2.9 software was used to process the data for this investigation. The results of this study indicated that the performance of the community health center can be maximized by optimizing intellectual capital and the work environment by taking into account the involvement of human resources for health workers associated with improving the performance of the Sub-district Health Center in the working area of the Kebayoran Lama District Health Center.

Abstract

The mining industry plays a pivotal role in the global economy, but it faces significant challenges related to occupational safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Mine inspectors are essential in ensuring mining operations adhere to safety standards and regulations. The supervisors' leadership styles heavily influence these inspectors' performance. This systematic review examines the impact of leadership models—transformational, transactional, situational leadership, and Herzberg's two-factor theory—on mine inspector performance. Researchers have found that transformational leadership, characterized by inspiration and motivation, significantly enhances job performance, satisfaction, and commitment among employees. Transactional leadership, which focuses on supervision, organization, and performance through rewards and punishments, is effective at ensuring compliance and efficiency. Situational leadership emphasizes the need for leaders to adapt their style to their followers' developmental levels, promoting flexibility and responsiveness. Herzberg's two-factor theory differentiates between motivators and hygiene factors, highlighting the importance of job satisfaction in enhancing performance. The path-goal theory, which outlines the leader's role in clearing the path toward goals, also provides valuable insights. The review concludes that transformational leadership is particularly effective in improving mine inspector performance, but a combination of leadership styles tailored to specific situations and needs is essential for optimal results. This understanding can guide mining industry leaders in adopting strategies that enhance safety, compliance, and overall operational efficiency.

This study also wants to analyze the influence of leadership, work motivation, and organizational culture on job satisfaction and analyze how job satisfaction mediates the influence of leadership, work motivation and work environment on employee performance. The population in this study amounted to 130 permanent employees at PT TI. The sample used was 99 employees using the Slovin formula calculation. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling technique which was carried out randomly without regard to strata in the population. The research method used is quantitative with SEM-PLS. Based on the analysis in this study, the results show that: 1) Leadership has no significant effect on job satisfaction; 2) Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction; 3) The work environment has no significant effect on job satisfaction; 4) Leadership has no significant effect on employee performance; 5) Work motivation has no significant effect on employee performance; 6) The work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; 7) Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; 8) Job satisfaction does not mediate the influence of leadership on employee performance; 9) Job satisfaction mediates the effect of work motivation on employee performance; 10) Job satisfaction does not mediate the influence of the work environment on employee performance.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the Influence of Work Motivation, Career Development, and Employee Engagement on Employee Performance at PT Wolter Batik Nusantara using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis method through the SmartPLS 3 program. The research collected data from employees of PT Wolter Batik Nusantara using structured questionnaires. The research sample consisted of 57 respondents selected through non-probability sampling. The analysis results showed that out of the seven hypotheses tested, five hypotheses indicated a significant positive influence between the variables under research. Work motivation and career development were found to have a significant positive influence on employee engagement, and employee engagement had a significant positive influence on employee performance. Additionally, it was found that employee engagement mediated the relationship between work motivation and employee performance, as well as between career development and employee performance. However, the other two hypotheses showed a positive but nonsignificant influence, namely work motivation on employee performance and career development on employee performance.

Abstract

his study aims to determine the effect of Transformational Leadership and Training moderated by the provision of  incentives on Employee Performance at the Pangkalan PSDKP Jakarta. This study was conducted at the Pangkalan PSDKP Jakarta using samples of 100 respondents. The sampling technique is non-probability sampling or saturated sample. The data analysis technique used is SEM-PLS which calculations are assisted by the SmartPLS 4.0 program. Evaluation analysis of the Partial Least Square (PLS) model is carried out by evaluating the outer model and evaluating the inner model. From the results of data analysis that has been carried out, it shows that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. Training has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. Incentives have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. Transformational Leadership moderated by Incentive provision has a positive and insignificant effect on Employee Performance. Training moderated by incentives provision has a positive and insignificant effect on employee performance. The results of the data analysis showed that the incentive variable as a moderating variable did not strengthen its effect even though it still had a positive relationship with Transformational Leadership, Training and employee performance.
