Abstract

2020 is the most difficult year in the start-up world due to the Covid-19 pandemic existed since the end of 2019 which forced every effort to turn the direction of strategy. Not a few also experience a crisis in the time of pandemic, so some companies have laid off their employees to reduce the burden of financing. The business sectors most affected are the commercial aviation, travel, oil and gas, automotive and banking sectors. But the business of the MSME sector is also affected due to the availability of raw materials and social restriction regulations.  By applying the Action Research methodology from the literature study of post-pandemic phenomena, the study used a compilation data source to support this writing literature research. The focus of this writing is the MSME sector businesses that are still operating in the post-Covid-19 pandemic. Almost all business people in the MSME sector experienced a very drastic decrease in sales turnover, experiencing various marketing and sales constraints, as well as product distribution. Some business actors in the MSME sector are trying to maintain their business or business in the middle until after the Covid-19 pandemic by following government rules and health and security protocols with various efforts observed (observe), identified (to orient), make decisions (decide), and re-activity (to act) by continuously observing, identifying, making decisions, and acting continuously in one unconstrained cycle time. This study employs and implements an OODA loop or cycle. The concept of OODA loop is the concept of repeated analysis to determine the decision of a problem. OODA stands for Observe, Orient (problem identification), Decide (quick decision making), and Act (immediate action). The term cycle or loop comes from this concept because every process repeats until decisions taken are effective and able to have a significant impact in dealing with problems. For this reason, it is recommended that every business actor can try this method as a solution to the challenge of overcoming the economic crisis caused by COVID-19 through the OODA loop.

Abstract

AbstractExisting literature on lean reveals that there are still few theoretical models that discuss the implementation of lean tools in the service sector, especially higher education services, their relationship to building academic culture, and their effect on research performance of university lecturers. The aim of this paper is to address this gap by proposing a theoretical model developed from the Cadden (2020) model and operationalized to build academic culture and its relationship to the research performance of university lecturersAbstrakLiteratur yang ada tentang lean mengungkapkan masih sedikit model teoretis yang membahas penerepan lean tools di sektor jasa khususnya jasa pendidikan tinggi, keterkaitannya dalam membangun budaya akademik,  dan pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja penelitian dosen perguruan tinggi.

The study was conducted at an ALFI member business that has been in the logistics sector for decades. The quantitative method was applied in the study. The sample-to-variable ratio was used to determine the number of samples, and data was analysed using SEM PLS. The results show that the placement variable has a positive effect on competence, the training variable has a positive effect on competence, the placement variable has a positive effect on employee performance, the training variable has a positive effect on employee performance, the placement variable has an influence on employee performance, the competence variable has an indirect effect on employee performance because competence becomes an intervening variable, and the placement variable has an influence on employee performance.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine of changes model on turnover intention on the effect of job stress and organizational climate through job satisfaction in oil palm plantation companies during the COVID-19 pandemic. The analysis was conducted using 120 respondents comprising field and office employees identified in strategic positions as respondents. Data were collected using online questionnaires and tested for normality using Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis with SmartPLS 3.2.7. The results showed that all the p-value indicators of the latent variable < 0.05 and this implies they are all valid and reliable to be used in the construct. The direct effects of X1 (JobStress) and X2 (Organizational Climate) on Y (Job Satisfaction), and X1 (Job Stress) on Z (Turnover Intention) were found to be significant while the other direct effects were insignificant. Moreover, all indirect effects were not significant but the effects of Total X1 (Job Stress) and X2 (Organizational Climate) on Y (Job Satisfaction) and the effect of X1 (Job Stress) on Z (Turnover Intention) were significant while the other total effects were insignificant. A strong indicator was discovered to be often thinking about leaving and actively looking for other job opportunities. This indicates that managers need to maintain work stress through the implementation of better policies related to work conditions. This is important because it was observed to affect job satisfaction, thereby, leading to turnover intention, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 requires every company to be able to adapt by making changes and improving financial and non-financial performance. In addition, to reduce the very severe impact of the threat of competitors, Islamic banking must increase its competitive advantage with various strategies that must be achieved, especially related to organizational performance. Islamic banks compete with conventional banks, which are more advanced in products and technology. This research refers to the Technological Readiness Level (TKT) at level 3, which proves the concept of functions and important characteristics analytically and experimentally. This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the financial performance of Islamic banks moderated by competitive advantage variables. The variables observed in this study were the ratio of NPF, NOM, ROA and BOPO. The variable was moderated by the company's competitive advantage (AUE). The method used is quantitative using multiple regression. The data used are annual reports published from 2018 to 2020. The results show that the NOM and NPL variables have an insignificant effect, while the BOPO variable has a significant negative effect. Meanwhile, the competitive advantage variable cannot moderate the effect of NOM, NPL and BOPO on ROA (Company Financial Performance). Therefore, this study contributes that in improving its financial performance, Islamic banking still needs to focus on the amount of income earned to fulfill its obligations Operational Costs and Operating Income (BOPO) in addition to NOM and NPL. Meanwhile, competitive advantage must be improved to improve Islamic banks' performance.

Abstract

In "Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional 2015-2019," which is regarded as a vital monetary sector, one of Indonesia's national development goals is the agricultural sector. One indicator of the success of agricultural development is the degree of farmer welfare, typically determined by the Nilai Tukar Petani (NTP). By comparing the quantity of NTP in each subsector and the implementation of the farming engagement activities, this article compares the level of farmer welfare in two farming sub-sectors, specifically estate crops and horticultural crops. The secondary data from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) from 2015 to 2021 were divided into two periods before and during pandemic COVID 19 (2015–2019 and 2020–2021), and the descriptive data on the farmer involvement activities with the sample point at Belitung Island. The data were analyzed with SPSS version 25 through Eta correlation analysis. The investigation revealed that horticultural crops and the NTP estate changed, with the NTP of horticultural plants being the most stable. Meanwhile, the horticulture and NTP estate crops tended to decrease and become less stable during pandemic COVID 19. We concluded that the agriculture industry was sustainable, particularly SME horticultural and estate crops. For a sustainable farming option, we advise employing marginal land for short crops using organic compost and reusing agriculture waste for bioorganic fertilizer.

The results of this paper are in the form of metrics to measure how well SMEs meet the needs of stakeholders. With this sustainability metric, SMEs can observe further using the theme of sustainable practices. Thematic network analysis looks into the following major topics: (1) environmental concern behavior; (2) image and reputation; (3) economic interests; (4) social; and (5) environment. This study also discusses the important implications for SMEs who want to improve performance based on the Triple Bottom Line Theory and business sustainability.
