Abstract

The Situ Gunung Nature Tourism Park (TWA) is a conservation area that was developed by prioritizing the concept of ecotourism. However, the ecotourism program created could have been more optimal, considering the requests and desires of visitors. This research aims to determine the factors that underlie decision-making for ecotourism visits at TWA Situ Gunung, West Java. The variables explained include the concept of ecotourism, intention to revisit, perception of cleanliness, and ticket price differentiation. The method used in this research is SmartPLS to test the proposed hypothesis. The analysis results show that ticket prices negatively influence ecotourism visits, with a coefficient of -0.058 (H1). On the other hand, cleanliness has a positive effect with a coefficient of 0.224 (H2), and security has a positive impact of 0.180 (H3). The accessibility factor is proven to have the most significant influence on ecotourism visits, with a coefficient of 0.464 (H4). The results of this research indicate that to increase ecotourism visits, managers need to focus on improving accessibility and cleanliness, as well as reconsidering ticket pricing strategies. Thus, this research contributes to the development of ecotourism that is more responsive to visitor needs and preferences, increasing visits and supporting conservation desires at Situ Gunung TWA.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the preferences of homemakers when choosing the type of melon gas cylinder using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The problem addressed is determining the factors that most influence homemakers' decisions in choosing between subsidized and non-subsidized gas. This research employs a quantitative method with AHP to analyze homemakers' preferences when selecting melon gas cylinders. AHP breaks down complex problems into a simple hierarchical structure, facilitating priority determination. The study involves homemakers chosen through purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires covering relevant criteria and sub-criteria, using a Likert scale to measure the importance of each criterion. The research results based on dynamic sensitivity analysis show that price is the most important factor, followed by ease of use. This study provides a clear picture of the relative weights of various criteria and alternatives when choosing melon gas cylinders. The study's conclusion indicates that homemakers prefer subsidized gas over non-subsidized gas.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on reducing the number of tourists, resulting in a decline in the performance of the tourism sector, including travel agents. In an effort to accelerate the recovery of the tourism sector, the Indonesian Government has released a stimulus package program for people who receive the complete COVID-19 vaccine which is distributed through travel agents. This stimulus program is a trial phase in tourist destinations in the Riau Islands, Jakarta and its surroundings, Borobudur and its surroundings, and Bali. This research aims to analyze the impact of the tourism package stimulus on vaccine recipient communities from the travel agent's perspective. The research data is primary data from the results of filling out a questionnaire which was analyzed using the conjoint analysis method and Pearson's R and Kendall's Tau analysis tests on travel agents who took part in this stimulus program. The results of research on travel agents show that their guests are willing to buy tourism stimulus packages because of the 4 star hotel facilities, family restaurant, spa body treatment, mini bus, complete destinations (natural, cultural, and man-made), and there is a souvenir shop that sells food. and souvenirs, thus the stimulus impacted these businesses only.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and measure the primary and secondary carbon footprints within the environment of Sahid University Jakarta. As an educational institution, a university plays a strategic role in climate change mitigation; however, most campuses in Indonesia have not yet optimally implemented environmentally friendly practices. Sahid University Jakarta is among the institutions that have not been classified as a green campus in the UI GreenMetric rankings. This study was conducted in the Faculty of Engineering using a descriptive-analytical quantitative approach, combining primary data (surveys and observations) and secondary data (campus reports). Carbon footprint calculations were based on emission standards from the IPCC and EPA. The results show that the total annual carbon emissions from campus activities reached 542.14 tons of CO₂-eq, with the largest contributions coming from the use of air conditioning (49.29%) and desktop computers (24.16%). Primary carbon emissions dominate the total footprint compared to secondary emissions, such as those from the use of LPG and paper. These findings highlight the need for mitigation strategies focused on managing electricity consumption, particularly for cooling systems and electronic devices.

Abstract

The complexity of lifting operations in oil and gas refinery construction presents significant occupational safety and health risks. This study aims to enhance the effectiveness of Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Determining Control (HIRADC) by identifying existing hazards, assessing inherent and residual risks, and proposing improved mitigation measures. Based on the HIRADC analysis conducted at oil and gas refinery construction, initial findings showed five high-risk activities. After implementing additional control measures, including installing hard barricades, proper signaling during lifting, and equipment checks, the residual risk levels were reduced to moderate-to-high categories. Moreover, the study identified an additional unrecorded activity in the original HIRADC: job preparation and work method validation, which was subsequently integrated into the revised framework. The study concludes that improving the HIRADC process, supported by routine inspections, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and the placement of HSSE signs, plays a crucial role in preventing workplace accidents caused by unsafe actions, mechanical hazards and ergonomic issues during lifting operations.

Abstract

The upstream oil and gas industry is inherently associated with a high level of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) risks, in which two critical determinants of effective risk management are safety culture and its maturity level. Safety culture encompasses the values, attitudes, and behaviors demonstrated by an organization toward safety, whereas safety culture maturity reflects the extent to which such values are systematically institutionalized and sustained. The novelty of this study lies in highlighting the importance of developing safety culture beyond formal implementation, with particular emphasis on advancing maturity toward proactive and generative levels. Accordingly, this research aims to examine the influence of safety culture implementation and safety culture maturity on safety performance at Citic Seram Energy Limited. Employing a quantitative design, data were collected through a purposive sample of 80 respondents using a Likert-scale questionnaire and subsequently analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS. The empirical results demonstrate that safety culture exerts a positive and statistically significant effect on safety performance (β = 0.45; p 0.001), while safety culture maturity also exhibits a positive and significant effect (β = 0.38; p 0.01). Collectively, these variables account for 62% of the variance in safety performance. In conclusion, the findings underscore that strengthening safety culture and enhancing its maturity are essential strategies for significantly improving safety performance within the upstream oil and gas sector.
