Abstract

The development of sugar industries in Indonesia is influenced by the capability of increasing sugar productivity every year. This increasing is important to handle problem that happened. One of the solutions of the problem, such as sugar loss and inefficiency energy was application of the cleaner production. PG. Tersana Baru have been doing efforts to minimize fuel consumption in milling station. This research objective were to design a processing improvement in milling station through cleaner production approach strategy in reducing sugar loss and increasing energy (steam and fuel) uses efficiency and to build a dynamic model on the influence of imbibitions water to water content of bagasse and sucrose content in milling station at PT. PG. Rajawali II Unit PG. Tersana Baru, West Java. The results of this research indicated a potency for application of a cleaner production approach in PG. Tersana Baru based data collected during 2007 milling season, of which the optimum of imbibitions water was 22.64 %. That condition was achieved in the 8th period of production with fuel energy consumption of 298,466 kcals/ton sugar cane. At this condition, there was possibility for annual energy consumption to be reached by 227,418 kcal/ton sugar cane or equivalent to Rp 764,184,666,153.00. The addition of water imbibitions at the milling process in the dynamic system simulation model was carried out at the interval of 21.20 – 35%. The results in water contents of bagasse of 49.21 – 62.74% and its sucrose contents of 0 – 5.18%.Keywords: Cleaner Production Approach, Imbibitions Water, Efficiency Energy Consumption, Dynamic System Simulation Model

Abstract

This research is an ex-post facto funds sosiatif causal aims to determine: (1) the impact of compensation on employee performance, (2) the effect of work motivation on employee performance, and (3) the effect of Compensation and Working Motivation together-together on Employee Performance, The study population was all employees of the Department of Marine and Fisheries District Court Tulung totaling 62 pegawai.Sampel used in this study is a population which total 62 employees in the sample, so-called research instrument populasi. Uji try to do in the Office of Marine and Fisheries District Tulungagung.Uji validity of using correcteditem total correlation, while the reliability test using cronba chalpha.Uji classical assumptions include linearity test, multicollinearity test, and test heteroskedastisitas.Uji hypothesis in this study using simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that: (1) There is a positive and significant impact on Employee Performance Compensation in the Department of Marine and Fisheries in Tulungagung. 2) There is a positive and significant impact work motivation on employee performance 3) There is a positive and significant impact Compensation and Motivation Work together on Employee Performance

Abstract

Information Technology makes things easier, the existence of a library in an institution of higher education is very important needed by all academicians, to realize a digital library and library services that are ideal for users is not an easy job. The Brawijaya University library has implemented a book lending independent service and book extensions for its visitors, so that users can feel comfortable and satisfied when utilizing the services available in the library. The independent service system in UB's Library as a form of transformation of the university library in improving the ideal service for visitors.The purpose of this study was to determine the usability analysis of independent service information systems in the Brawijaya University Library. This research is a quantitative descriptive study, using the theory of usability to determine the evaluation of self-service systems, the method used is a survey with a sample of 100 students. Hypothesis testing and data processing in this study using Partial LeastSquares(PLS).The results of this study indicate that there are 4 hypotheses that have been empirically proven to affect the usability of independent services in the Brawijaya University Library, namely the variables of Learnability, Efficiency, Memorability, Satisfaction (user satisfaction). 1 hypothesis is empirically proven to have no effect, namely the Few error variable (some errors), so that the UB library should innovate to improve services to users by submitting a mobile android based book loan application design. The intended application is intended so that the library user can borrow books independently only with the smartphone the user has.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pengaruh kadar CaCO3 terhadap pertumbuhan fasa BPSCCO-2223 menggunakan metode pencampuran basah dengan memvariasikan kadar Ca. Sintesis dilakukan dengan melarutkan sampel menggunakan HNO3 dan aquades secara perlahan kemudian dilakukan pengeringan pada suhu 300, 400, dan 600 ℃ secara bertahap. Sampel dikalsinasi selama 10 jam  pada suhu  800 ℃ dan disintering pada suhu 865℃ selama 10 jam. Hasil sintesis superkonduktor dikarakterisasi menggunakan XRD, SEM  dan uji Meissner. Hasil XRD menunjukkan  bahwa penambahan kadar Ca berpengaruh terhadap tingkat kemurnian fasa superkonduktor BPSCCO-2223. Pada penelitian ini, kadar Ca yang optimum yaitu Ca 2,05 mol dengan  nilai fraksi volume (Fv) sebesar 79,98%. Sedangkan fraksi volume terendah adalah Ca 1,95 mol sebesar 41,27%. Derajat orientasi yang relatif tinggi terdapat pada sampel Ca 2,10 mol sebesar 7,67% dan terendah terdapat pada Ca 1,95 mol sebesar 0%. Hasil SEM menunjukkan bahwa semua sampel telah memiliki lapisan-lapisan yang tersusun (terorientasi) dengan ruang kosong antara lempengan (void) relatif kecil. Hasil uji-Meissner menunjukkan bahwa Ca 2,05 mol mengalami efek Meissner lemah, sedangkan sampel BPSCCO-2223 yang lain tidak menunjukkan adanya efek Meissner dalam nitrogen cair    (77 K).Kata Kunci : BPSCCO-2223, Derajat Orientasi, Fraksi Volume, Superkonduktor, Uji-Meissner

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation and methods used in instilling religious values ​​at RA Al Falah 2 Danakerta. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were homeroom teachers, madrasa heads and students of RA Al Falah 2 Danakerta. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques use the Miles & Huberman model: data reduction, data presentation, and reasoning. The results of the study show that: (1) The inculcation of religious values ​​at RA Al Falah 2 Danakerta is carried out through an activity management process which includes the Annual Program (PROTA), the Semester Program (PROSEM), The Weekly Learning Implementation Plan (RPPM) and the Daily Learning Implementation Plan (RPPH). The implementation of these activities includes opening activities, core activities, and closing activities. (2) The methods used in instilling religious values ​​at RA Al Falah 2 Danakerta include habituation methods, exemplary methods, demonstration methods, question and answer methods, play methods, storytelling methods, and field trip methods.

Abstract

Gebang 2 Elementary School is a remote school in Sidoarjo which is located in Pucukan Hamlet, Sidoarjo District. The school is called remote because the path taken is a narrow road, and can only be passed by motorbike. If it rains, the road to the location is impassable, due to puddles of water and mud. However, it is also possible to cross the waterway by using a boat with about 45 minutes of travel. In this school it is difficult to access the internet network, so it is not possible to do online school during the pandemic. As a result, students and teachers continue to hold face-to-face meetings, with a one-week system of meeting and one week off. The school also does not have extracurriculars for its students, and the school building is only made of wood which is often flooded. This article is the result of research that initiated the Stikosa-AWS students community service program, in the form of developing non-academic education through extracurricular programs. In addition, students also donated items in the form of cleaning equipment for the Gebang 2 Elementary School which was poorly maintained. And donate book packages that are still fit for use.

Abstract

Ekstrak daun talas yang digunakan sebagai inhibitor pada baja API 5L, direndam dalam larutan korosif NaCl 3%. Dengan memvariasikan suhu perendaman  dan , dan juga konsentrasi inhibitor 0%, 2%, 8% dan 12%. Setelah perlakuan pada sampel diperoleh hasil perhitungan laju korosi yang paling rendah pada sampel A5-70-8 dan yang paling tinggi pada sampel A5-70-0. Inhibitor yang digunakan mempunyai nilai efisiensi paling tinggi pada sampel A5-70-8. Hasil karakterisasi XRD menunjukkan bahwa struktur Kristal yang terbentuk merupakan fase Fe murni. Karakterisasi SEM menunjukkan morfologi permukaan sampel, terlihat retakan pada sampel. Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the composition and crystal structure of the artificial zeolite produced, as well as the ability of artificial zeolite to reduce calcium and magnesium content in hard water. The zeolite was prepared using the hydrothermal method by mixing sodium silicate from Lampung pumice silica, sodium aluminate from aluminum can waste and charcoal from sunshade umbrellas. The artificial zeolite products were characterized using XRF, XRD, UV-Vis spectrophotometric and ICP-EOS. The results showed that the composition of the artificial zeolite was aluminum, silica, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, titanium, vanadium, chromium, manganum and ferum. The crystal structure of the optimum sample from the UV-Vis spectrophotometric characterization obtained the crystal structure of a natural zeolite type, namely Chabazite. And the artificial zeolite which was tested for adsorption on hard water could reduce the calcium content by 36.57% but could not reduce the magnesium content.

Abstract

Removal of Heavy Metals from Liquid Laboratory Waste Using Precipitation and Adsorption Methods. Liquid laboratory waste (such as residue of chemical oxygen demand/COD analysis) contains high concentration of heavy metals (mercury/Hg, silver/Ag and chrome/Cr) and has a high potential to pollute the environment. The liquid waste generated by laboratories is generally in small quantity, but it is extremely toxic. It is urgently in need to find out an appropriate method to reduce the problems according to the liquid waste characteristics. In this research work, precipitation and adsorption methods were evaluated to remove Hg, Ag, and Cr from liquid laboratory waste, covering determination of optimum process conditions, levels of removal and achievable treated waste quality. Results showed that a Cr removal of 97% was obtained by pH 10, and Hg and Ag removals of 97-99% were reached by pH 12. Although heavy metals removals using precipitation was very significant, but the concentration of heavy metals in the treated waste was still high (0.73-2.62 mg/L) and need for further treatment. Applying activated carbon adsorption for further treatment of the effluent reduced dissolved heavy metals to 0-0.05 mg/L, depending on the type of heavy metals as well as the type and dosing of activated carbon.
