Abstract

Studies on the Coping of Street Children through Home Shelter.One among model which developed by the Ministry of Social Affairs in serving street children is "Rumah Singgah". The model was innitiated by the Ministry in 1999. The Rumah Singgah is fully conducted by community and the Ministry supports the community through fund and guidence. The study evaluates three aspects, which are organization, activities and street childreb characteristics. Those three aspects asre seen in a system. Abstract

Kajian tentang Pengembangan Kolaborasi LSM dengan Pemerintah dalam Pembangunan Masyarakat (Collaboration between NGO and Government: Studies on Collaboration Development between NGO and Government on Community Development).Non Governmental Organizations and Government sectors have important roles in conductingdevelopment and global life. Both two have certain ability, where government have a lot offund resources and NGO have certain technical skill on conducting development activities. Government and NGO should work together and imposible to neglect each other. Government requires to involve NGO as asked by several donor agencies. Relation pola among Government and NGO within New Order era which cooptative is a good experience. Abstract

Research on Factors that have Effect Towards Efforts in the Children Protection.Problems of children currently need serious attention regarding to the tendency of those children become victims of mistreatment, being exploitated and ignored. These tendencies can happen to a family that has high level of economical and social status as well as to one that haslow level economical and social status. The ambition towards career of parents of a welfare family and the limited access to meet the basic social need of poor family have lead this situation to the ignorance of children's rights of being survive, growing up, protection and participation. The parents unconsciously have ignored, exploitated, and mistreated their children for economical, social, or psychological purpose. An explorative research has observed various situation and condition as well as factors that have affected towards mistreatment, ignorance, and exploitation of children by their parents.Kata Kunci: Perlindungan anak, Lembaga perlindungan anak

Abstract

Revitalisasi Fungsi dan Tugas Birokrasi Pemerintah bagi Pembanguna.(Bureaucracy and Community Empowerment: Revitalization of Function and Task of Bureaucrat for Community Development.Developing a program and its implementation in social welfare sector is influenced by the policy and strategy chosen by the bureaucracy. Srategy chosen for economic growth or GNP causes less priority in social welfare sector because economical doesn't give any direct benefit. These unreflected thoughts will lead bureucracy to difficulties related to the national, regional and international community development. Community development currently demands some conditions as a consequency of the membership of a state in a regional organization or an international organization as well as of international monetary institutions and other donor states. Regarding to this frame, the bureaucracy revitalization in all level becomes a rational demand and a strategic choice in the efforts to build social welfare for all people.

Abstract

Child protection is the responsibility of government and society as a whole. Their commitments to protect the rights of children might be coherent wit the transformation of social development approach that more paying attention to the role of local community and society. Regarding this approach, all potentials and resources available in the community and such as local institution need to be empowered and mobilized in order to make their con tribution more realistic for social welfare development, especially for child protection.

Abstract

(Need Assessment of Social Setvices for Disaster Victims) - Disaster is the natural event that could not be detacted from geoligical condition, topography and indonesian geograpical condition. As result, disaster is a kind of normal event, it is not strange. However, whenever the disaster comes, problem that have always been found such as weakness of coordination, evacuation obstacle , lateness of assistance and limitness of facility. Thus, social service management for the victim disaster has to be upgrade, so the focus and main objective of social could be optimally achieved.
