Abstract

Saat ini Handphone (HP) dengan fasilitas pengiriman pesan singkat (Short Message Service, SMS) telahdigunakan secara luas oleh seluruh lapisan masyarakat sebagai sarana saling berkomunikasi. SMS juga telahdigunakan untuk memeriksa rekening bank, transfer uang, melihat email, mengikuti polling, dan aplikasilainnya. Penggunaan HP juga lebih populer di masyarakat daripada internet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmenyediakan layanan informasi publik interaktif berbasis SMS di Pemkot Surakarta yang diharapkan memilikitingkat keteraksesan masyarakat yang tinggi. Sistem layanan dirancang menggunakan Bahasa PemrogrammanDelphi versi 7.0 dengan komponen library Comport versi 3.0, dan menggunakan HP SIEMENS M35 yangterhubung ke komputer pribadi melalui COM1. Sistem dirancang secara real-time agar bisa mengelolainformasi yang masuk dan memberikan jawaban informasi tentang pendidikan, perizinan, lingkungan danbantuan layanan sesuai permintaan masyarakat. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian terhadap kata-kata kunci, hasilprosentase penerimaan masyarakat pada aspek kemudahan permintaan layanan, kemudahan petunjukpermintaan perintah layanan, kesesuaian permintaan dengan jawaban yang diberikan, dan kemampuanmerespon ketika perintah permintaan layanan ada kesalahan dan waktu pemrosesan pesan, sistem yangdirancang layak dikembangkan dan digunakan sebagai sarana untuk membantu kinerja Pemkot Surakartadalam memberikan pelayanan informasi yang interaktif kepada masyarakat.Kata kunci: SMS, Delphi, Comport, M35, Informasi Publik.

Abstract

In this study, a circuit was designed to improve sampling in discontinuous SVPWM simulations using Quartus II software. The v_beta_sin unit was successfully simulated using the waveform editor. The results displayed are in accordance with previous calculations, if the input is 000000001 then the output is 100000011 and so on. The v_alfa_cos unit is also successfully simulated using the waveform editor. The simulation results if the input is 000000001 then the output is 111111111 and so on, according to the previous calculation. The unit counter was successfully simulated using the block diagram in Quartus II. The output of this unit counter is in the form of 9 bits to retrieve v_beta_sin and v_alfa_cos data. The v_beta_sin, v_alfa_cos and counter units used as reference signals are successfully simulated and can be used as a supporting circuit in the simulation of the discontinuous SVPWM method. The results of the simulation show an increase in sampling or sampling by 512.

Abstract

The development of technology in the smartphone sector is currently developing very rapidly which results in smartphones becoming one of the primary needs. Judging from the ability of a smartphone that is able to run various applications, one of which is to use it as a control tool. Through this research, a fire extinguisher wheeled robot prototype will be built with the control of an Android smartphone based on the Arduino Mega 2560 via Bluetooth wireless communication. The results showed that the robot can function properly controlled via an Android smartphone with a maximum distance of 10 meters, the robot is able to respond and extinguish the fire with a maximum range of 60 cm, and the robot is able to know the distance of the barrier around it (in cm) with an accuracy of up to 97%. To extinguish the fire the robot can move with an average speed of movement of the robot of 22.2 seconds per extinguishing phase.

Abstract

In this research, Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller is applied to the DC-DC Boost Converter system. The system is a power electronics circuit that functions to stabilize the voltage by increasing the value of the output voltage so that it is of a higher value than the input voltage without having to eliminate the relatively large power so that it can overcome the voltage shortage. Control is done by providing a signal or voltage that regulates the ON time and the OFF time of the switch. The voltage value is based on the duty cycle value which is a unit of PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). The input voltage at the boost converter tends to fluctuate and is unstable. On this basis, the output voltage must be controlled by a voltage converter that can be adjusted as desired to match a predetermined setpoint value. By setting the PWM value with the PID method, it is easier to get a constant output voltage value on the boost converter. The results obtained after using a PID control produce a very stable and constant output voltage without any ripple voltage. For the tuning parameter value used to produce a stable output voltage, the proportional value is 5, the integral value is 5, and the derivative value is 3.Pada penelitian ini diterapkan pengendali Proporsional Integral Derivatif (PID) pada sistem DC-DC Boost Converter. Sistem tersebut merupakan suatu rangkaian elektronika daya yang berfungsi untuk menstabilkan tegangan dengan menaikkan nilai tegangan keluaran sehingga bernilai lebih tinggi dari tegangan masukkan tanpa harus menghilangkan daya yang relatif besar sehingga dapat mengatasi kekurangan tegangan. Pengendalian dilakukan dengan memberikan sinyal atau tegangan yang mengatur waktu ON dan waktu OFF switch. Nilai tegangan berdasarkan nilai duty cycle yang merupakan satuan dari PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). Tegangan masukkan pada boost converter cenderung fluktuatif dan tidak stabil. Atas dasar itu  tegangan keluaran harus dikendalikan oleh sebuah konverter tegangan yang dapat diatur sesuai keinginan agar cocok dengan nilai set point yang telah ditetapkan. Dengan mengatur nilai PWM dengan metode PID dapat mempermudah untuk mendapatkan nilai tegangan keluaran yang konstan pada boost converter. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan setelah menggunakan sebuah kendali PID ini menghasilkan tegangan keluaran yang sangat stabil dan konstan tanpa adanya tegangan ripple. Untuk nilai tuning parameter yang digunakan sehingga menghasilkan tegangan keluaran yang stabil yaitu nilai proporsional adalah 5, nilai integral adalah 5, dan nilai derivatif adalah 3.

Abstract

Direct Torque Control (DTC) has gained popularity for development of  advanced  motor  control  due  to  its  simplicity  and  offers  fast  instantaneous torque  and  flux  controls.  However,  the  conventional  DTC  which  is  based  on hysteresis  controller  has  major  drawbacks,  namely  high  torque  ripple  and variable  inverter  switching  frequency.  This  paper  presents  an  improved switching strategy for reducing flux and torque ripples in DTC of PMSM drives; wherein  the  torque  hysteresis  controller  and  the  look-up  table  used  in  the conventional  DTC  are  replaced  with  a  constant  frequency  torque  controller (CFTC)  and  an  optimized  look-up  table,  respectively.  It  can  be  shown  that  a constant switching frequency is established due to the use of the CFTC while the reduction of torque and flux ripples is achieved mainly because of the selection of optimized  voltage  vector (i.e.  with an optimized  look-up  table).  This paper also  will  explain  the  construction  of  DTC  schemes  implemented  using MATLAB-Simulink  blocks.  Simulation  results  were  shown  that  a  significant reduction of flux and torque ripples which is about 90% can be achieved through the proposed DTC scheme.

Abstract

The increasing demand for hybrid energy systems based on renewable energy sources has enabled the new dimension for multi-input converter (MIC). Various topologies have been introduced over the last decade. However, most of these topologies have several drawbacks in terms of design complexity or efficiency. Therefore, this research aims to introduce a multi-input DC-DC converter for hybrid renewable energy applications. The proposed multi-input converter is able to hybridize different sources such as solar PV array and PEMFC. Analysis and simulation have been carried out for the double input two-phase interleaved converter in operating the boost mode. The proposed converter is designed in matlab simulink by using interleaved boost converter method to achieve a boosted and smoothened output. The proposed topology has shown a remarkable performance in terms of output voltage boosting, voltage ripple reduction as well as enhanced efficiency through interleaved boosting technique. From the simulation results, it can be observed that the proposed converter can gain high efficiency which is higher than 97%. The obtained results have been validated with previously published works and the proposed technique has been proven to yield compatible and improved outcomes.

Abstract

By developing research and academic centers, the number of performed research articles has also increased. On the other hand, publishing the results of these articles in scientific journals shall also grow. In the meantime, researchers are trying to publish the findings of their research in journals which have been approved by one or more international indices so that such findings can be seen. In order to enhance the academic standards of Universities, proper journal choice will be of interest to researchers, especially those that are indexed in websites such as Thomson Reuters. However, certain forgery frauds researchers by launching fake Web sites that have been named by academic journal titles. In this paper, we introduce an approach to identify this type of journals that will be applicable by researchers in various academic disciplines.

Abstract

The mathematical model of a photovoltaic (PV) cell can help in analyzing the PV system performance easily. In this paper, a new algorithm is developed to determine the values of five parameters model of photovoltaic module. The proposed method which is called Extract the Five Parameters of Photovoltaic Modules (EFPPM) is used to find the optimum values of the I-V equation’s parameters that fit with I-V curve. This method could reduce the computation time of finding the values of PV model parameters. The proposed algorithm does not only reduce the computation time but it provides accurate values of PV model’s parameters, too. A comparison with conventional algorithm shows superiority of the proposed EFPPM in term of computation speed. The results show that the reduction of the computation time can reach nearly twenty one times faster. The results also clarify that the I-V and P-V curves of EFPPM are exactly the same as provided by data sheets.

Abstract

Motor Brushless DC (BLDC) adalah salah satu jenis motor sinkron yang semakin banyak digunakan di banyak aplikasi karena efisien, bebas perawatan dan rasio daya terhadap bobot yang baik. Namun pada pengoperasiannya motor  BLDC memerlukan sensor posisi rotor. Penelitian ini membangun skema pengendali motor BLDC tanpa sensor posisi rotor dengan menggunakan metode back EMF berbasis mikrokontroller arduino. Deteksi posisi dilakukan dengan cara mendeteksi sinyal back EMF yang terdapat pada terminal daya motor, dan dibandingkan dengan virtual ground.  Skema pengendali yang diusulkan telah diverifikasi secara simulasi dengan perangkat lunak Proteus dan secara eksperimen perangkat keras pada sekala laboratorium, dan bekerja dengan baik

Abstract

Pengenalan huruf, tanda tangan, ucapan, objek gambar dan sidik jari merupakan masalah kompleks yang sulit ditelusuri algoritmanya. Hal ini dikarenakan masalah tersebut tidak memiliki model matematis yang jelas dan pasti. Untuk itu dibutuhkan suatu teknik komputasi yang memiliki kemampuan untuk mempelajari dan mengenali sesuatu berdasarkan karakteristik yang dimiliki oleh masing-masing benda yang akan dikenali. Jaringan syaraf tiruan (JST) adalah teknik komputasi yang tepat karena teknik komputasi ini dikembangkan berdasarkan cara kerja sistem syaraf biologis manusia sehingga memiliki kemampuan untuk mempelajari dan mengenali sesuatu, sekalipun terdapat penyimpangan (noise). Subjek penelitian ini adalah pengenalan pola sidik jari dengan menggunakan jaringan syaraf tiruan perambatan balik. Perangkat lunak (software) yang digunakan dalam pembuatan aplikasi ini adalah borland delphi 7.0. Proses pengenalan yaitu dengan melatih pola sidik jari yang didapat dari hasil scan berukuran 80 * 80 piksel diambil dari sidik jari jempol tangan kanan. Pengenalan pola dilakukan per piksel pada citra pola input dan output. Prosentase yang diperoleh dari pelatihan jaringan syaraf tiruan untuk file citra yang sudah dilatih di atas 75 % sedangkan untuk file citra yang belum dilatih di bawah 75 %.
