Abstract

Many factors can affect employability in Vocational High School students, including independence and disciplinary factors. This study aims to determine the role of independence and discipline towards student employability. As many as 225 students of class XII Vocational High School 1 Kalasan Yogyakarta, Indonesia participated in this study. The sampling technique is cluster random sampling. The research method used is a quantitative method with employability scale, independence scale, and discipline scale as a data collection tool. The data analysis used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The findings show that there is a very significant effect between independence and discipline on employability. Partially, there is a very significant influence between independence towards student employability, and there is a very significant influence between discipline on employability. The role of discipline towards employability is more dominant than independence to employability in Vocational High School students.

Abstract

The employability of students in vocational high schools is a major concern that must be considered. Employability as the ability and skills that will make it easier for individuals to get a job. Future orientation is one of the factors that can affect employability. This study aims to test the role of future orientation on student employability empirically. The population in this study were all students of class XII at Vocational High School Piri 1 Yogyakarta, totaling 150 students. The sample in this study amounted to 58 students and selected using cluster random sampling techniques. The research method used is a quantitative method with a scale of employability and a scale of future orientation. Analysis of the data used in this study is the product-moment analysis technique. The results of data analysis showed that there was a very significant positive correlation between future orientation towards employability with r = 0.636 and significance level (p) = 0.000 (p less than 0.01). Future orientation contributes 40.5% to employability, and the remaining 59.5% is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

Motivation to learn is one of the factors that can play a role in determining student employability. This study aimed to empirically test the role of motivation to learn on student employability. The population in this study were all grade twelve students in Vocational High School 1 Dlingo Bantul Yogyakarta, which is as many as 110 students. The sample in this study was 54 grade twelve students of Vocational High School 1 Dlingo Bantul, which consisted of two classes namely fashion and wood craft classes. The selection of the research sample was made by randomization using the cluster random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by using the employability scale and motivation to learn scale. Data analysis was conducted using Pearson product-moment analysis technique. The analysis result shows that the magnitude of the correlation coefficient (r) between motivation to learn and employability was 0.747, p = 0.000 (p less than 0.01). This finding indicates that there is a very significant positive correlation between motivation to learn and student employability. Motivation to learn contributes as large as 55.8 percent of employability. Thus, motivation to learn does contribute to explaining the level of employability of Vocational High School students.

Abstract

Employee job satisfaction is an important factor that can determine organizational productivity, and organizations need to pay attention to this pivotal aspect. This study aimed to empirically examine the role of transformational leadership styles and employability on employee job satisfaction. The participants of this study are 49 university teachers at the University of X Yogyakarta. The sampling is randomly chosen using a simple random sampling technique. In addition, data are collected using the scale of job satisfaction, the scale of transformational leadership style, and scale of employability. The data are then analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The results showed that 1) Simultaneously, transformational leadership style and employability provide a very significant role in influencing job satisfaction with p=0.000 (p less than 0.01); 2) Partially transformational leadership style provide a significant role on job satisfaction with p=0.019 (p less than 0.05); 3) Partially there was a very significant role of employability on job satisfaction with p=0.000 (p less than 0.01). Transformational leadership style and employability contribute 52.5% to job satisfaction. Employability contributed more dominantly to job satisfaction (35.8%) than the transformational leadership style (16.7%).

Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the effect of self-efficacy on students' work readiness. The subjects in this study were students of class XII of State Vocational High School 1 Seyegan totalling 174 students which were obtained by cluster random sampling. The research method used is a quantitative method with work readiness scale and self-efficacy scale. Analysis of the data used in this study is a simple regression analysis technique. The results of data analysis showed a very significant effect of self-efficacy on work readiness, with the F test, namely: 22.768, with a significance level (p) of 0.000 (p less than 0.01). The contribution of the effect of self-efficacy of 11.2% on work readiness and the remaining 88.8% was influenced by other factors outside the variables studied. It means that students’ self-efficacy can predict their work readiness.

Abstract

Internal locus of control is one of the factors related to vocational high school students’ entrepreneurial intention. This study aimed to empirically test the relationship between internal locus of control and entrepreneurial intention on vocational high school students. The population in this study was all students of class XII at Vocational High School 5 Yogyakarta as many as 392 students and research participants in total was 171 students. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Data collection was conducted by using the scale of entrepreneurial intention and internal locus of control scale. Data analysis was done using product moment analysis technique. The results of data analysis showed a significant positive relationship between internal locus of control with entrepreneurial intention, with a significance level (p) of 0.030. Internal locus of control contributed 2.1 percent to entrepreneurial intention so that the remaining 97.9 percent was influenced by other variables. It could be concluded from this study that students’ internal locus of control can predict student’s entrepreneurship intention.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara hope, employability dengan Subjective well-being pada mahasiswa profesi apoteker Universitas Ahmad Dahlan. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa profesi Apoteker Universitas Ahmad Dahlan yang berjumlah 80 orang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif, alat pengumpulan data menggunakan skala hope, skala employability dan skala Subjective well-being. hasil dari uji asumsi normalitas pada penelitian ini yaitu diketahui bahwa subjective well-being memiliki p = 0,695 (p > 0,05), selanjutnya hope memiliki p = 0,458 (p > 0,05), dan employability p = 0,507 (p > 0,05). hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa ketiga variabel memiliki distribusi skor yang normal. Analisis regresi berganda penelitian memperoleh nilai koefisien R sebesar 0,499 dengan taraf signifikansi (p) sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05). Hal ini menunjukan bahwa adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara hope, employability dengan Subjective well-being pada mahasiswa profesi apoteker Universitas Ahmad Dahlan.   This study aims to see the influence between hope, employability, and subjective well-being of the Ahmad Dahlan University pharmacist profession students. The subjects used in this study were the Ahmad Dahlan University Pharmacist profession which assessed 80 people. The research method used is quantitative methods, data aids using the scale of hope, employability scale and subjective well-being scale. The results of the normality assumption test in this study that it is not known that subjective welfare has p = 0.695 (p> 0.05), then it is expected to have p = 0.458 (p> 0.05), and work ability p = 0.507 (p> 0), 05). The results of the normality test show that the three variables have a normal score distribution. Multiple regression analysis obtained an R coefficient value of 0.499 with a significance level (p) of 0.000 (p <0.05). This shows that there is a significant influence between expectations, work ability and subjective welfare in the pharmacist professional students of Ahmad Dahlan University.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris hubungan employ well-being, kepemimpinan transformasional, dan harga diri dengan employability pada guru SMK Muhammadiyah 1 dan 2 Moyudan Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan variabel dependent yaitu employability dan variabel independent yaitu employ well-being, kepemimpinan transformasional, dan harga diri. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan skala model likert sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Analisis data penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis regresi berganda dengan bantuan program SPSS 21.Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa employ well-being, kepemimpinan transformasional, dan harga diri. memiliki hubungan yang sangat signifikan dengan employability. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Guru SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Moyudan dan Guru SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Moyudan. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Secara parsial masing – masing variabel independent yaitu employ well-being,kepemimpinan transformasional, dan harga diri memiliki hubungan yang sangat signifikan dengan employability. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan yang sangat signifikan employ well-being, kepemimpinan transformasional, dan harga diri dengan employability.

Abstract

Abstrak. Menghadapi Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK) merupakan sebuah tantangan tersendiri bagi seorang guru. Kompleksnya kondisi psikologis, seperti keterlambatan wicara, degradasi motorik dan kognitif pada ABK mengharuskan tenaga pendidik untuk lebih banyak mengatur regulasi serta mempertajam cara berpikir agar mampu mengondisikan ABK secara humanis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh keseimbangan kehidupan kerja dan dukungan sosial terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif guru di Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 50 guru SLB dari jumlah populasi 144 guru. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala Kesejahteraan Subjektif, skala Keseimbangan Kehidupan Kerja, dan skala Dukungan Sosial. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan rasio Fisher sebesar 36.734 dengan signifikansi sebesar .000 (p < .01) menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara keseimbangan kehidupan kerja dan dukungan sosial terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif pada guru SLB. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat dilihat bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara keseimbangan kehidupan kerja dan dukungan sosial terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif pada guru SLB.Kata Kunci: dukungan sosial, guru SLB, keseimbangan kehidupan kerja, kesejahteraan subjektifWork Life Balance, Social Support, and Subjective Well-Being among Teachers in Special Needs’ SchoolsAbstract. Teaching children with special needs is certaintly a challenge for teachers. The complexity of psychological conditions, such as emotional, speech delay, motor and cognitive degradation among children with special needs requires teacher to have more a better regulation and sharpen their mindset in order to be able to teach them humanistically. This study aimed to determine the effect of work-life balance and social support on subjective well-being. The subject of this study were 50 special school teachers (SLB) from a total of 144 teachers. And the sampling technique was a simple random sampling technique. In addition, The research instrument were Subjective Well-Being scale, Work-Life Balance scale, and Social Support scale. Data collected in this study was then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The findings show that the Fisher’s ratio was 36.734 with a significant value .000 (p < .01) indicating that there is a significant influence between work-life balance and social support for subjective well-being in special education school teachers. Furthermore, Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be seen that there is a significant influence between work-life balance and social support for subjective well-being in special education school teachers.Keywords: social support, special education school teachers, subjective well-being, work-life balance

Abstract

Berkaitan dengan persaingan bisnis, peran employee engagement sangat menentukan tercapainya kesuksesan organisasi. Setiap organisasi sangat bergantung pada keterlibatan tenaga kerjanya. Literatur ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran yang dihasilkan dari pengembangan karir terhadap employee engagement. Partisipan dalam dalam penelitian ini melibatkan karyawan PT Telkom Indonesia area Yogyakarta sejumlah 90 orang yang diperoleh dengan teknik quota sampling. Skala model Likert sebagai instrumen utama pengumpulan data empirik, yang terdiri dari skala employee engagement dan skala pengembangan karir. Data empirik di analisis dengan teknik korelasi product moment menggunakan bantuan SPSS V.21. Temuan yang dihasilkan dari literatur ini adalah adanya hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara pengembangan karir dengan employee engagement. Koefisien korelasi (r) yang diperoleh dari hubungan tersebut sebesar 0,548 dengan taraf signifikansi (p) sebesar 0,000 (p0,01). Literatur ini memberi bukti bahwa tinggi rendahnya keterlibatan dapat diprediksi oleh penyediaan fasilitas pengembangan karir di organisasi.
