Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of Perceived Benefits and Perceived Security on the Continuance Usage Intention of QRIS among Gen Z in the context of a Cashless Society, with Lifestyle as a Moderating Variable. The research employs an associative methodology to identify relationships between multiple independent variables and the dependent variable. The study population comprises Gen Z individuals in Padang City, with a sample of 150 QRIS users selected through purposive sampling within a non-probability sampling framework. Data were collected via questionnaires using a Likert Scale and analyzed using SmartPLS software. The findings reveal that: (1) Perceived Benefits have a positive and significant effect on Continuance Usage Intention; (2) Perceived Security has a positive but non-significant effect on Continuance Usage Intention; (3) Lifestyle does not moderate the effect of Perceived Benefits on Continuance Usage Intention; and (4) Lifestyle weakens the relationship between Perceived Security and Continuance Usage Intention.

Abstract

Coral reefs are the main components of coastal and marine ecosystems and are important in maintaining coastal and marine functions. West Sumatra is one of the provinces in Indonesia whose territory faces the Indian Ocean and has a wide diversity of coral reef cover. This research aims to determine the condition of coral cover in the waters of the Pieh Island Conservation Area, West Sumatra. The method for collecting coral cover data uses UPT (Underwater Photo Transect) with a transect length of 50 meters and a frame size of 58 x 44 cm2, photographed every meter at 3 (three) station points. The research results show that the condition of coral cover on Pandan Island is 63.04% in the good category, Toran Island is 77.94% in the very good category, and Air Island is 88.30% in the very good category. The average coral cover condition at the research station was 76.42%. Based on KEPMEN LH No.4 of 2001 concerning Standard Criteria for Coral Reef Damage, it is included in the very good category

Abstract

In this study, we used Nielsen's heuristics to analyze the user interface of a thesis management information system in the vocational education environment. This system environment is designed to assist students in managing and organizing all processes related to thesis writing. The main framework in this study is Nielsen's heuristics, supplemented with experiments to evaluate the extent to which the user interface of the system meets user preferences (user-friendly). The population involved in this research consists of faculty members and students, with a sample size of 50 individuals. Analysis and discussion were conducted through the distribution of questionnaires to the participants. Based on the research findings, it was discovered that the Visibility of system status achieved a score of 163.5. Overall, this study concludes that the thesis management information system in the vocational education environment that we developed successfully achieves its main objective by having a user-friendly interface.

Abstract

The research was conducted in May 2023 in Setan Island, West Sumatra. The study aimed to map the distribution of coral reefs, test the accuracy of the resulting map, and determine the condition of coral reef cover on Setan Island. The methods used are remote sensing methods using Sentinel-2 satellite imagery and field survey methods to validate the distribution of coral reefs resulting from image data processing (Groundcheck) and to observe the condition of coral reefs using the Underwater Photo Transect (UPT) method. Determination of sampling locations to ground check the distribution of coral reefs using a Stratified random sampling method while determining sampling locations for observations of coral reef cover using a purposive sampling method. The study results obtained a coral reef distribution map with a reef distribution area of 13.18 ha or 47.55% of the total shallow water area. The accuracy test found an accuracy value of 80% with a kappa coefficient 0.7, where the category is good and the level of trust is moderate. The condition of coral reef cover based on live corals in the waters of Setan Island is in the Fair and Poor categories. Percentages range from 0.33% to 31.36%. The dominating lifeform types are coral massive and coral submassive

Abstract

This research was conducted in February until March 2017 at Pandan Island island pandan area tourist Park Pieh Island. The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of the nesting habitat of the hawksbill turtle (Chelonia mydas). The method used in this research is the survey method, with measuring directly on the habitat of hawksbill turtle covering the slope of the beach, texture of sediments, within the nest of tides, the temperature of the nest, fecundity, and the type of vegetation and predators in the nesting habitat. The results showed that the nesting habitat characteristics vary between nest with each other. Nesting beach ramps ranged 2,75-4,60º with medium sand sediment texture to coarse sand. Temperatures nest ranging between 27-31ºC. The dominant vegetation in the area is a nesting plant pandan laut (Pandanus tectorius) whereas the dominant predator was biawak (Varanus salvator).

Abstract

This research was conducted in March 2020 to find out the difference in planktonic diatoms abundance vertically at each station in the waters of Nareh Beach, Manggung Village, North Pariaman Sub-District, Pariaman City, West Sumatra Province. The method used is a survey method that consists of three depths at three observation stations. The water quality measured in this study were temperature, brightness, pH, salinity, current velocity, and depth. Based on the research results, there are 11 types of planktonic diatoms found in the waters of Nareh Beach, namely Gyrosigma sp., Chaetoceros sp., Odontella sp., Rhizosolenia sp., Pleurosigma sp., Thalassionema sp., Leptocylindrica sp., Coscinodiscus sp., Nitzschia sp., Guinardia sp, and Skeletonema sp. the most dominant one. The highest total value of planktonic diatom abundance ranges (9779.65-12867.96 ind/L) is found in the surface layer and the lowest ranges (2573.59-10294.37 ind/L) is at 5 m depth. There is no difference in the total value of planktonic diatom abundance between depths
