Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe how much influence the application of the talking stick to the study of students learning Cultural Arts in Class X State Senior High School 5 Pontianak. The method used is the method of quasi experiment with the design of the study is Nonequevalent Control Group Design. The sample in this study is 84 students. Results of the data analysis indicate that the learning outcomes of students at the post-test in the experimental class effect of 0.88. This means learning by applying the model Talking Stick give effect to the high criteria for the study of students in grade X in learning Cultural Arts in State Senior High School 5 Pontianak .Keywords: Influence, cooperative learning model of talking stick, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, aktivitas dan hasil menulis wacana narasi menggunakan teknik brainwriting. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan dengan bentuk penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan 3 siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa dan guru SMK Negeri 5 Singkawang Utara Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016, dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 28 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa teknik brainwriting dapat meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran khususnya perencanaan, pelaksanaan, aktivitas dan kemampuan menulis siswa. Hal itu terlihat dari data yang didapatkan yakni perencanaan siklus I sebesar 76,66% (baik), siklus II sebesar 83,33% (sangat baik), dan siklus III sebesar 86,66% (sangat baik). Pelaksanaan pada siklus I sebesar 61% (cukup baik), siklus II 77% (baik), dan siklus III 90% (sangat baik). Rata-rata hasil belajar juga mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I sebesar 51,56, siklus 58,71, dan siklus III 75,22. Aktivitas siswa juga mengalami peningkatan sebesar 27,21 pada siklus I, pada siklus II sebesar 28,25, dan pada siklus III sebesar 29,89.   Kata Kunci: Keterampilan Menulis Wacana Narasi, Teknik Brainwriting. Abstract: The purpose of this study was to describe the planning, implementation, activities, and results of using the technique of writing narrative discourse brainwriting. This research method is qualitative  with the form of classroom action research. This study was conducted 3 cycles. The subjects were students and teachers of SMK Negeri 5 North Singkawang in the school year 2015/2016 , the number of students by 28 students. Based on the results of the study concluded that brainwriting technique can improve the quality of the learning process, especially planning, implementation, activities and students' writing. This is evident from the data obtained in the planning of the first cycle of 76.66 % (good), the second cycle of 83.33 % (excellent), and the third cycle of 86.66 % (excellent). Implementation of the first cycle of 61% (pretty good) , the second cycle 77 % (good), and the third cycle of 90 % (excellent). The average learning outcomes also increased in the first cycle of 51.56 , 58.71 cycle, and the cycle III 75.22. Activities of students also increased by 27.21 in the first cycle, the second cycle of 28.25, and the third cycle of 29.89. Keywords : Discourse Narrative Writing Skills, Techniques Brainwriting.

Abstract

AbstractThe role of slogans in presenting snacks is hoped to help consumers in always remembering the brand of the offered product. Slogans with good quality requires high creativity, because slogans require correct dictions and must be interesting. The purpose of this research is to find the language style used in snacks slogans and finding out the purpose of said slogans. This research is a qualitative descriptive research, by following the steps of collecting, sorting, clarifying, analyzing, and concluding. This research is a descriptive research because of the data obtained cannot be put to numbers. The finding of this research shows that the slogans that are found in snacks have the language style of hyperbole, metaphor, repetitive, and denotative meaning. Therefore, in one advertisement not only one style is found, multiple language styles can be found, this give the effect of reinforcement of meaning in influencing the interest of a snack product by using hyperbole and metaphor.Keywords: slogan, snack, language style, pontianak

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk pendeskripsian karakter tokoh, alur, latar, hubungan intertekstual, hubungan hipogram dan transformasi pada novel SKUT dan novel AMS. Metode penelitian adalah metode deskriptif bentuk kualitatif dengan pendekatan intertekstual. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, maka dihasilkan simpulan sebagai berikut: (1) Karakter tokoh utama dalam novel SKUT yaitu tabah, karakter tokoh utama dalam novel AMS yaitu suka menolong. (2) Alur dalam novel SKUT yaitu alur maju dan alur dalam AMS yaitu alur campuran. (3) Latar tempat pada novel SKUT yaitu 21 tempat yang digunakan dalam novel AMS yaitu 25 tempat. Latar waktu yang digunakan dalam novel SKUT yaitu pagi hari dalam novel AMS latar waktu yang digunakan yaitu Jumat sore. Latar sosial dalam novel SKUT yaitu kepercayaan masyarakat, dalam novel AMS yaitu kehidupan masyarakat. (4) Hubungan intertekstual pada novel SKUT dan novel AMS yaitu adanya persamaan dan perbedaan. (5) Hubungan hipogram dan transformasi terbukti karena adanya persamaan ide dan peristiwa-peristiwa yang terjadi dalam kedua novel. Kata kunci: kajian intertekstual dan novel Abstract: This research aims to description of characters, plot, background, intertextual relation, hipogram and transformation relation on novel SKUT and on AMS in order to develop literature. This research was using descriptive method in form of qualitative. This reesearch used intertextual approach. Based on the result of data analysis, the conclusion are as follow. (1) The main character in novel SKUT is Tabah, the main character in novel AMS is Baraah which is helpful. (2) The plot in novel SKUT is forward plot and in novel AMS is complicated plot. (3) The backgrounds in novel SKUT are 21 places used in novel AMS are 25 places. The background of time used in novel SKUT is in the morning, Monday, at night, in novel AMS the background of time used is Friday afternoon, in the afternoon. The social background in novel SKUT is trust of people, in novel AMS are people life. (4) Intertextual relation in novel SKUT and in novel AMS is there are the similarities and differences. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa yang digunakan oleh Dewi Lestari dalam kumpulan cerpen Rectoverso. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan struktural dan stilistika. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, penelitian ini menghasilkan simpulan: (1) Gaya bahasa klimaks, antiklimaks, pararelisme, antitesis dan repetisiseluruhnya berjumlah 45 buah, yang terbagi menjadi; klimaks 10 buah, antiklimaks 5 buah, pararelisme 4 buah, antitesis 9 buah, dan repetisi 17 buah. (2) Gaya bahasa berdasarkan langsung tidaknya makna seluruhnya berjumlah 75 buah. 47 buah merupakan gaya bahasa retoris yang terbagi menjadi beberapa jenis gaya bahasa yaitu; alitrasi 6 buah, asonansi 11 buah, asindenton 4 buah, elipsis 1 buah, perifrasis 2 buah, eroteris 5 buah, koreksio 1 buah, dan hiperbol 11 buah. Selanjutnya 28 buah merupakan gaya bahasa kiasan yang terbagi menjadi beberapa gaya bahasa yaitu; persamaan atau simile 20 buah, personifikasi atau prosopopoeia 4 buah, dan metonimia 4 buah. Kata kunci: analisis, gaya bahasa, cerpen. Abstract: Analysis of figure of speech in short story Rectoverso by dewi Lestari. This research aims to describe the figure of speech used by Dewi Lestari in the short story collection Rectoverso. The research method used is descriptive method in form of qualitative by using structural and stylistics approach. Based on the result of data analysis, the conlusion of this research is: 1) Figure of speech of climax, anticlimax, paraleism, antithesis, and repetition in the short story collection Rectoversoby Dewi Lestari totally is 45, which is devided by; climax is 10, anticlimax is 5, paraleism is 4, antithesis is 9 and repetition is 17. 2) Figure of speech based on explicit or implicit meaning in the short story collection Rectoversoby Dewi Lestari totally is 75. 47 belongs to rhetorical figure of speech which is divided by some kinds of figure of speech which were; alliteration is 6, assonance is 11, asindenton is 4, ellipsis is 1, periphrasis is 2, rhetorical question is 5, koreksio or epanortesis is 1, and hyperbole is 11. Then 28 figure of speech belong to metaphorical figure of speech which are divided by some figure of speechs which are similarity or simile is 20, personification or prosopopoeia is 4, and metonymy is 4. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan etos kerja masyarakat yang tercermin dalam legenda Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Hasil analisis data yang dilakukan dalam legenda Pontianak, terdapat tiga bentuk etos kerja yaitu kerja bersifat  amanah, kerja bersifat aktualisasi, dan kerja bersifat ibadah. Kerja bersifat  amanah ialah bekerja benar penuh tanggungjawab yang terdiri dari amanat dan pengembambangan diri; amanat, karakter, kompetensi dan kinerja. Kerja bersifat  aktualisasi ialah bekerja keras penuh semangat yang terdiri dari visi dan target mengilhami kerja keras; mengembangkan potensi diri; bekerja keras menyehatkan dan menguatkan. Kerja bersifat  ibadah ialah bekerja serius penuh kecintaan yang terdiri dari mengenal keagungan kerja; benih keagungan dalam diri manusia; pengabdian penuh cinta. Kata kunci: Etos kerja, Legenda Pontianak, Deskriptif Abstract: The purpose of this research is to describe the society’s work ethic that is reflected in the legends of Pontianak. The researcher used descriptive method in this research. The results of data analysis is done in legend of Pontianak, there are three types of work, they are mandately working, actualization working and  worship working. Mandately working is working actually  full mandate  responsibility and self development; mandate, character, competence and performance. The actualization working is hard at work full of vision and targets inspired hard work; potential development ; nourish and strengthen  hard working.  The worship working is serious work which is full of  love which consists of familiar grandeur of work; the seeds of greatness in man; loving devotion. Abstract

Abstract: Bukan pasar malam romance tells about sacrifice of a child for the recovery of his/her father and his/her struggle to live under economic difficulties. The problem statement are the main character internal and external conflict in Bukan Pasar Malam story by Pramoedya Anata Toer. This research aims to obtain description of conflict in Bukan Pasar Malam romance. This research aims to obtain description of conflict in Bukan Pasar Malam story. Theories which used in this research are definition of romance, elements of novel builder, internal and external conflict and literature study. This research uses descriptive method in qualitative form. Structural approach is used in this research. The data source is Bukan Pasar Malam romance and the data are words, phrases, sentences or citation that represent conflict in Bukan Pasar Malam romance. Data analysis is done by determining theinternal dan external conflict then the data is described and interpreted based on existing problems. Based on data analysis, this research gives following conclusions (a) Internal conflict in Bukan Pasar Malam romance are restless, disappointed, dislike, sad, confused, hesitant, angry, sorry, scared, wonder, nervous, bored (b) main character external conflict are debates, arguments, disputes, and misunderstandings between the main character and other figures in Bukan Pasar Malam story romance by Pramoedya Anata Toer. The result of this study is expected to be useful for readers, especially high school Indonesia Languange teachers. For college students, this research can be used as reference to conduct further research for different aspects Key words: Main Character Conflict, Novel.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated by the curiosity of researcher towards the learning process of the text poetry people (pantun) in class VII of MTs Miftahul Huda in Landak Regency. The research was conducted by teacher who teaches in class VII. Researcher chose the research focus on 2013 curriculum based learning, including the planning, implementation, and the results of the text poetry people learning. This study describes Indonesian language teachers lesson plan, Implementation, and evaluated teaching learning achieved Teaching and Learning Wrote the Text Poetry People (pantun) Based on the 2013 Curriculum to the Seventh Grade of Miftahul Huda Landak Regency. The method used in this study is descriptive in the from qualitative research. The data sources of this study were Indonesian language subject teacher and seventh grade, they were 22 students. The date in this study are in the form of planning, implementation, and the result of teaching learning the text poetry people. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, documentation, and interview. Meanwhile, data collection tools are observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and recording devices. Data analysis in this study includes three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and data inference.Keywords: Poetry People, Teaching Learning, 2013 Curriculum

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to describe the form, dimension as well as the plan to use the novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu works of Tere Liye in school learning. The research is conducted through descriptive method in the form of qualitative. Based on the data analysis (1) the form of aggressive behaviour of the main character  are: physical aggressive (including hitting, kicking, pushing, and strangling) and verbal aggressive (including swearing, saucing, shouting, and snapping). (2) The dimension of aggressive behaviour of the main character are including direct active physical aggressive (including forcibly opening the box, hitting, punching, kicking, piercing, atc. which is done directly by the aggressor), direct active verbal aggressive behaviour (including  snapping, seolding, etc. which is done directly by the aggressor), and indirect active verbal aggressive behaviour (including swearing without the knowledge  of sufferer, soucing to the heart, cursing, etc. which is done by the indirectly by the aggressor). (3) Seen from curriculum aspect, learning objectives aspect, teaching material selection aspect, and readable aspect shows that this novel can be implemented in school learning especially for Bahasa Indonesia subject. Keywords: Novel, Aggressive, Behavioristic Psychology

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakngi oleh keinginan untuk menemukan tipologi kepribadian tokoh dalam trilogi Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk Karya Ahmad Tohari. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh data tentang tipologi kepribadian dan pengaruh konflik internal dan eksternal terhadap kepribadian tokoh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif berbentuk kualitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan psikologi sastra. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik studi dokumenter. Tipologi kepribadian tokoh dalam trilogi Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk adalah tokoh Srintil memiliki tipe kepribadian ekonomi, kuasa, sosial, dan agama. Tokoh Rasus memiliki tipe kepribadian teori, sosial, dan agama. Tokoh Nyai Kartareja memiliki tipe kepribadian ekonomi. Tokoh Kartareja memiliki tipe kepribadian ekonomi. Tokoh Sakarya memiliki tipe kepribadian agama. Tokoh Pak Bakar memiliki tipe kepribadian kuasa. Tokoh Bajus memiliki tipe kepribadian ekonomi. Sedangkan pengaruh konflik internal terhadap perubahan tipe kepribadian terjadi hanya pada tokoh utama Srintil yaitu rasa sedih, kehilangan, malu, penyesalan, dan kecewa. Pengaruh konflik eksternal terhadap perubahan tipe kepribadian adalah konflik sosial. Kata kunci: tipologi kepribadian, konflik, trilogi. Abstract. This study is motivated by the desire to find a personality typology of character in a trilogy of Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk by Ahmad Tohari. This study aims to obtain data on the typology of personality and the influence of internal and external conflicts of the characters. The method used is descriptive in qualitative form. The approach used is a psychological approach to literature. That use in this research is documenter study technique. Typology in the trilogy Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk is that Srintil character has the economic, power, social, and religious personality type. Rasus character has the theory, social and religious personality type. Nyai Kartareja character has economic personality type. Kartareja character has economic personality type. Sakarya character has religious personality type. Pak Bakar character has power personality type. Bajus character has economic personality type. Meanwhile the influence of internal conflict to the changes in personality type occurs only on the main character Srintil sadness, loss, shame, regret, and disappointment. Influence of external conflict to changes in personality type is social conflict. Key word: personality tipology, conflicts, trilogy.
