Abstract

To maximize and get population document services closer to the community, the Disdukcapil district of Alor provides mobile services by visiting people in remote villages which difficult-to-reach service centres in the city. Due to a large number of villages and limited time and costs, not all villages can be served, so the kNN algorithm is needed to determine which villages are eligible to be served. The criteria used in this determination are village distance, difficulty level, and document ownership (Birth Certificate, KIA, family card, and KTPel). The classes that will be determined are "Very eligible", "Eligible", and "Not eligible". By applying Z-Score normalization with the value of K=5, the classification gets 94.12% accuracy, while non-normalized only gets 88.24% accuracy. Thus, applying normalization to training data can improve the kNN algorithm's accuracy in determining eligible villages for "ball pick-up" or mobile services.

Abstract

The representation of the fuzzy set membership curve consisting of trapezoidal, triangular, and linear shapes, has an important role in the fuzzy logic system. The selection of the curve's shapes determines the useable membership function and affects the fuzzy output value. Previous studies generally used curves that had been employed in predecessors or other studies that did not explain the reason for choosing a fuzzy member curve. This condition became problem because there was not a guide in selecting the appropriate membership function model for the parameters used in the fuzzy process so that most researchers only use membership functions that are commonly used in previous studies or in the same case as their research. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of selecting trapezoidal and triangular curves on the performance of Tsukamoto's fuzzy logic for determining the rice-fields suitability status. The research methodology comprised 3 main stages. The first stage was data collecting, to collect soil pH values, soil moisture, and air temperature in rice fields. The second stage was the implementation of the Tsukamoto fuzzy. At this stage, two membership function curves were used. The third stage was a comparative analysis of Tsukamoto's fuzzy's output of trapezoidal and triangular curves. The results obtained indicate that there is no significant performance difference between the two different membership functions. The results of the research with the trapezoidal membership function have a better accuracy rate of 93% while the triangular membership function has an accuracy rate of 90%.

Abstract

Over five years, the implementation of the library information system at IKIP Muhammadiyah Maumere faced a challenge, frequent errors during data input that hindered users from fully utilizing the system. These issues not only affected users’ interest but also highlighted the significance of the human factor in shaping the quality of an information system. To make full use of the system, it was crucial to identify and address the problems associated with it. This research delved into the experiences of 242 library information system users, including lecturers, students, and librarians, by using the PIECES method. The goal was to analyze users’ satisfaction and uncover any underlying issues within the system. The results of the PIECES analysis revealed average satisfaction scores, showcasing users' contentment with the system's performance (3.77), information (3.79), economy (3.80), control (3.77), efficiency (3.77), and service (3.89). These findings suggest that the library information system has been meeting users' expectations. However, a significant problem emerged in the performance variable, particularly in the system stability. Additionally, issues related to data compatibility, duplication in storage, and users’ authority management, access control, and system errors were observed in the information and control variables. Based on these identified challenges, recommendations for system improvement were made by targeting low satisfaction levels. Proposed solutions involve enhancing data management, storage practices, user access control, and reducing the risk of system errors, ensuring more efficient and reliable library information system.

Abstract

Abstract

An effective and resilient means to deploy microservices to Kubernetes is an ongoing challenge. This challenge becomes more difficult with ever increasingly complex application architectures. This research explored a DevOps model based on GitOps that integrates ArgoCD and GitLab CI/CD, as a means to create a more effective, resilient, and scalable deployment. Twelve microservices that were deployed in a controlled experimentation format were used in a comparative approach to previous deployment practices that only considered manual deployments. The results show an overall deployment time improvement of 40%. For the deployments that were executed incorrectly, ArgoCD ensures service availability leveraging its self-healing capabilities. During the computation of each run we also experienced system performance in a sustained high-load environment. Upon high demand, we experienced the desired autoscaling behavior requested, which resulted in higher service responsiveness. In comparison to previous studies, this research considered statistical analysis, while also looking at an aspect of real-world orchestration and networking efficiency while adopting Kubernetes. Altogether, this research gives organizations practical advice on how they may optimize their deployment pipelines for efficient, scalable and resilient microservices.

Abstract

Phishing incidents on modern communication platforms pose significant challenges for digital forensics investigations, particularly regarding the availability and preservation of digital evidence. This research aims to evaluate the availability of digital evidence in Discord-based phishing cases by applying the ISO/IEC 27037 framework and interpreting the results from an anti-forensics perspective. This research uses a digital forensics case analysis approach on the victim’s mobile device by following the stages of identification, collection, acquisition, and preservation. The results show that of the five types of digital evidence identified, only 40% can be fully preserved, while 20% are partially preserved, and 40% cannot be preserved. The quantitative evaluation produced an average digital evidence availability score of 0.5, indicating that only half of the expected digital evidence could be retained even though the entire forensics procedure had been systematically applied. These findings confirm that the limitations in the availability of digital evidence are influenced not only by the investigation process but also by the technical characteristics of digital artifacts and the system mechanisms inherent to the Discord platform.

Abstract

Identifying students’ learning styles is an important factor in supporting adaptive and data-driven learning. However, conventional methods based on manual questionnaires still have limitations in terms of efficiency and accuracy for data processing. This study presents a comparative analysis of machine learning algorithms to classify student learning styles based on questionnaire data. The dataset used consists of 1,170 student data with three learning style classes, namely visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. The four supervised learning algorithms used are Naïve Bayes, Decision Tree, Random Forest, and K-Nearest Neighbors. Model performance evaluation was conducted using 5-fold (80:20) and 10-fold (90:10) cross-validation with accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. The results of the experiment show that the Naïve Bayes algorithm has the most optimal and stable performance with the highest accuracy value of 90.60% in both validation scenarios. These findings indicate that machine learning-based classification approaches, particularly Naïve Bayes, are effective for identifying student learning styles and have the potential to support the development of adaptive and personalized learning systems.

Abstract

Indonesia has the world's largest Muslim population in 2025 and high demand for halal food products, including sausage. Differences in meat prices increase the risk of adulteration, which is wild boar or pork can adulterate beef or chicken. The adulteration can be detected using FTIR combined with chemometrics. The aim of this study was to investigate the adulteration in sausages by analyzed the fingerprint FTIR spectra combining with chemometrics. This study conducted by physicochemical analysis and scanning the extracted fat at the mid-infrared region using FTIR to collect spectral data. Qualitative and quantitative analyses were performed on the fingerprint region using chemometrics of Partial Least Square (PLS) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA), respectively to provide best modeling. The PLS calibration model for the relationship between actual values and predicted value of three binary mixed meats obtained from 1399 – 1321 cm-1, 1770 – 1681 cm-1, 780 – 650 cm-1. The calibration models demonstrated strong linearity, with R² values ranging from 0.9367 to 0.9884. The chicken–beef model exhibited the lowest RMSEC (5.85), indicating superior predictive accuracy. Although the chicken–pork model showed the highest R² (0.9884), its higher RMSEC (7.32) suggests reduced prediction precision. The chicken–wild boar model displayed the lowest R² and highest RMSEC, indicating greater model uncertainty, likely due to increased spectral similarity and matrix complexity. Fifteen marketed products analyzed. PCA of FTIR data demonstrated clear discrimination between halal-labeled and pork-containing sausages based on lipid profile differences, highlighting its potential as a rapid screening tool for halal authentication.

Abstract

Drone detection in aerial imagery has become increasingly important in security, surveillance, and military applications. This study aims to evaluate the performance of a deep learning model in detecting drone images by varying the number of training epochs (10, 20, and 50 epochs). A drone image dataset was used to train and test the model, with performance evaluated using precision, recall, mAP@0.5, and mAP@0.5:0.95 metrics. The experimental results indicate that increasing the number of epochs significantly enhances model performance. At 10 epochs, the model achieved a precision of 0.905, recall of 0.857, mAP@0.5 of 0.904, and mAP@0.5:0.95 of 0.455. At 20 epochs, recall improved to 0.879, and mAP@0.5:0.95 increased to 0.476. The best performance was observed at 50 epochs, with a precision of 0.918, recall of 0.886, mAP@0.5 of 0.920, and mAP@0.5:0.95 of 0.494. These findings demonstrate that increasing the number of training epochs not only improves detection accuracy but also enhances the model's generalization capability. The study concludes that training for 50 epochs is the optimal configuration for achieving the best performance in drone image detection, despite requiring longer training time. These results provide practical recommendations for implementing deep learning models in real-world drone detection applications.
