Abstract

This community service program aims to educate village residents on the importance of waste separation and processing, implement simple circular economy-based technologies, and establish a community-based waste management system. A participatory approach is carried out through awareness campaigns and training on household-level waste sorting, environmental campaigns through schools, communities, and social media, as well as incentive programs for residents actively involved in waste management, such as waste bank initiatives. The outcomes of this program are expected to create a cleaner and healthier village environment, improve the community’s economic well-being, and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Furthermore, the program is intended to serve as a replicable model for waste management in other regions with similar characteristics.

Abstract

This study explores how corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the energy sector can move beyond short-term aid to become a strategy for long-term community empowerment. Using a qualitative case study of the ME–Rumah Asri program in Hilir Muara Village, the research positions women as central agents of change. The study aims to map the empowerment process, assess the social, economic, and environmental outcomes experienced by residents, and link them to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 8, 11, and 17). Data were gathered through in-depth interviews and document analysis; thematic analysis was applied by extracting core ideas, clustering them into themes, articulating inter-theme linkages, and validating findings with informant while maintaining source triangulation and research ethics. The findings highlight three key insights. First, programs designed with early resident involvement foster self-confidence, strengthen decision-making capability, and build a sense of ownership. Second, tangible outcomes include additional household income, stronger social cohesion, and everyday pro-environment habits. Third, empowerment functions as the bridge between CSR interventions and sustainability outcomes, while reinforcing the company’s social legitimacy to operate. A noted challenge is initial dependence on corporate support; thus, a phased transition plan, stronger community/enterprise institutions, safe financing access, and diverse marketing channels are needed. Overall, when energy-sector CSR is framed as women-centered empowerment within cross-stakeholder partnerships, both social impact and sustainability improve, and program benefits endure.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a strategic model to improve the quality of services at the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) by applying the SERVQUAL gap analysis framework. In the context of public service reform and digital transformation, SPKT plays a crucial role as the frontline of police services, directly influencing public trust and satisfaction. However, various reports and surveys indicate persistent gaps between public expectations and the actual performance of SPKT, particularly in dimensions such as responsiveness, empathy, and procedural clarity. Using a mixed-methods approach, this research combines quantitative analysis of service quality gaps across the five SERVQUAL dimensions tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy with qualitative validation through interviews and focus group discussions. The study was conducted at the Grobogan Police Department, involving community members as service users and key stakeholders as informants. Findings reveal significant negative gaps in several service dimensions, indicating areas where public expectations exceed perceived service delivery. Responsiveness and assurance emerged as the most critical dimensions requiring improvement. Furthermore, the study highlights the limited integration of digital service platforms with human-centered service quality, emphasizing the need for a balanced approach that combines technological innovation with empathetic, transparent, and reliable human interaction. The research contributes theoretically by expanding the application of SERVQUAL in the context of police services in Indonesia, an area that remains underexplored. Practically, it offers a validated strategic model tailored to the operational realities of SPKT, providing actionable recommendations for service enhancement. The model emphasizes continuous training, stakeholder engagement, and the integration of ethical values and digital tools to support sustainable public service excellence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of pedagogical competence and achievement motivation on teacher performance, with organizational commitment as a mediating variable at SMP Negeri Sub Rayon 02, Jepara Regency. Using a quantitative approach and path analysis based on survey data from teachers, the results show that pedagogical competence and achievement motivation have a significant direct effect on teacher performance. In addition, achievement motivation also has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, which in turn improves teacher performance confirming the role of organizational commitment as an effective mediator in this relationship. However, pedagogical competence does not have a significant effect on organizational commitment, so there is no mediating effect in this pathway. The R² value of 0.754 on teacher performance indicates that the model has high explanatory power. These findings have important implications for teacher development policies, whereby improving performance is not only achieved through technical (pedagogical) training, but also requires strengthening psychological aspects such as achievement motivation and the formation of organizational commitment through transformational leadership, performance-based rewards, and a supportive work climate.

Abstract

There are two research approaches, quantitative and qualitative. The quantitative approach is primarily designated in social research because it is convenient in data collection; while qualitative research is rarely used, only limited researchers understand its advantages. Qualitative software is not familiar to researchers because there are several reasons behind it; therefore, training in using qualitative research software is needed; one of the well-known software is Nvivo. The Nvivo software training was conducted and aimed at students of Postgraduate Degree Study Program at Universitas Negeri Semarang. The training is conducted online by explaining the basics of a qualitative approach, the validity of data, and data processing using the software. Participants were given steps to interpret the data using Nvivo software. The training results show that students have an interest and ability in using qualitative software that can be used to support research activities to complete the final project. The success of the training is measured by the feedback obtained after training to strengthen qualitative research using Nvivo software. The measurement results show that students are satisfied and have increased skills following the training objectives
