Abstract

This research aimed to explore the effectiveness of innovation in developing Indonesian language learning media based on problems to enhance the critical thinking skills of elementary school students in multi-ethnic areas. The research method used was an experiment with a pre-test and post-test design on the same subjects, involving one group of students who use problem-based learning media. This research was conducted in South Jakarta, which has a population of students from diverse ethnic backgrounds. The number of respondents was 27 from various ethnic groups. During the research period, data on critical thinking skills were collected through validated assessment instruments, taking into account the multi-ethnic context. Data analysis indicated that students who used problem-based learning media experienced a significant improvement in their critical thinking skills compared to the control group. This improvement was reflected in students' abilities to analyze information, evaluate arguments, and produce vital and reflective thinking in the context of the diverse Indonesian language.

Abstract

Learning to write scientific articles necessitates the development of creative ideas and concepts in order to produce high-quality work that is also novel. However, learning to write scientific articles has become uninteresting among students due to a lack of interest in reading, ineffective use of digital literacy services to obtain references, and difficulties in creatively expressing ideas in scientific writing. The research goal is to create a learning model for writing scientific articles based on blended learning and creative problem solving. The Plomp model is used in the research method, which has three stages: preliminary, prototype, and assessment. The research yielded a trilogy of models: model books, lecturer books, and student books. The trilogy of models is designed based on the results of needs and context analysis, analysis of learning model characteristics to write scientific articles in universities, and prototypes by designing model books, lecturer books, student books, and assessments. The assessment results show that: (a) the model book is 89,44%, the lecturer's book is 94,44%, and the student book is 91,67% very valid. (b) A practicality test revealed that 85% of model books, 85,71% of lecturer books, and 87,27% of student books were very practical. (c) The practical 87,602% very effective. The characteristics of the blended learning integrated creative problem-solving learning model for writing scientific articles are very interesting and creative when combined with two lecture methods between online and offline (hybrid) using blended learning to improve students' creative thinking skills. The learning process incorporates technology and blended learning components to help students understand and gain new experiences in creative writing of scientific papers.

Abstract

Recent digital technologies have increased the flexibility of learning. Online learning is now seen as a good alternative, not a force anymore. Among all online learning media that can aid, Zoom is an interactive online learning media mainly used by lecturers to carry out synchronous learning processes when offline lectures cannot be carried out. Using Zoom, lecturers and students can interact synchronously, like face-to-face learning in class. Many studies have been conducted to see the impacts of online learning on students’ learning behaviors using various media, yet studies on how students behave while learning using Zoom have not yet been explored in more detail. This research aims to reveal how students behave in the learning process by using Zoom in English classes through a survey study. Data were collected through a questionnaire delivered online to some 142 English Department students of Universitas Negeri Padang who experienced online learning. They voluntarily took part in this survey. Carrying quantitative analysis, the research showed that most students did not follow the Zoom-mediated learning process as well as they did face-to-face learning, which was carried out offline, for various reasons. Several positive and negative behaviors were found when implementing the learning process using Zoom. Therefore, for the learning process to run well, it is necessary to agree on the ethics of the learning process by using Zoom. The findings of this research can provide a reference for making conventional ethics of online learning using Zoom or other media.

Abstract

Abstrak Bakteri Salmonella sp. adalah bakteri gram negatif yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit demam tifoid. Terapi demam tifoid adalah antibiotik seperti kotrimoksazol, kloramfenikol, dan ampisilin. Namun, menurut Badan Litbang Kesehatan, didapatkan Salmonella sp. menunjukkan resistensi sebesar 71% terhadap kotrimoksazol, 57% terhadap kloramfenikol, dan 42% terhadap ampisilin. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan bahan alami alternatif untuk memperoleh senyawa antibakteri baru. Salah satu bahan alam yang dapat digunakan adalah biji mangga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri Salmonella sp dari ekstrak biji mangga (Mangifera indica L). Ekstraksi biji mangga menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96% yang dilanjutkan dengan pengujian kandungan fitokimia. Hasil uji fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak biji mangga mengandung senyawa alkaloid, saponin, tanin, fenolik, flavonoid, tritepernoid, steroid, dan glikosida. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan uji coba perendaman cakram dengan variasi waktu perendaman cakram di ekstrak selama 5 menit, 15 menit, 6 jam, 12 jam, dan 24 jam. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan peletakan cakram di medium yang mengandung bakteri Salmonella typhimurium sesuai dengan metode difusi cakram. Dari hasil yang didapat, zona hambat muncul secara optimal pada perendaman cakram selama 24 jam. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan perendaman cakram selama 24 jam pada ujicoba antibakteri dengan konsentrasi ekstrak 2.000 ppm, 10.000 ppm, 50.000 ppm, dan 100.000 ppm. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah ekstrak biji mangga memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri Salmonella typhimurium yang dapat terlihat mulai dari konsentrasi ekstrak 50.000 ppm dan 100.000 ppm.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami perspektif siswa terhadap pemanfaatan media AI dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di tingkat SMA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 375 orang siswa di SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Penuh dan sampel ditentukan dengan teknik sampel acak, jumlah sampel 193 diperoleh dengan teknik Slovin. Instrumen pengumpulan data adalah kuesioner yang telah di uji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif dengan bantuan SPSS 26. Hasil penelitian adalah mayoritas siswa menunjukkan tingkat keakraban yang tinggi dengan kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam konteks pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di tingkat SMA. Mereka menunjukkan pemahaman yang baik tentang konsep AI, serta memiliki pengalaman positif dalam menggunakan aplikasi atau alat berbasis AI. Siswa juga menunjukkan optimisme yang tinggi terhadap manfaat AI dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, percaya bahwa AI dapat meningkatkan pemahaman, efektivitas, keterlibatan, kepercayaan diri, dan pencapaian akademik mereka dalam mata pelajaran tersebut. Meskipun demikian, penggunaan AI dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia masih belum optimal, dengan adopsi teknologi ini masih rendah. Terdapat kekhawatiran yang signifikan di antara siswa terkait potensi risiko AI, seperti ketergantungan berlebihan pada teknologi, kesenjangan pendidikan, masalah privasi, dan impersonalitas dalam pembelajaran.AbstractThis study aims to understand students' perspectives on the utilization of AI media in Indonesian language learning at the high school level. The method used in this research is quantitative, the population in this study were 375 students in SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Penuh and the sample was determined by random sample technique, the sample size was 193 obtained by slovin technique. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques by using SPSS 26. The result of the study is that the majority of students show a high level of familiarity with artificial intelligence (AI) in the context of Indonesian language learning at the high school level. They demonstrated a good understanding of AI concepts, as well as having positive experiences in using AI-based applications or tools. Students also show high optimism towards the benefits of AI in Indonesian language learning, believing that AI can improve their understanding, effectiveness, engagement, confidence and academic achievement in the subject. Despite this, the use of AI in Indonesian language learning is still not optimal, with adoption of this technology still low. There are significant concerns among students regarding the potential risks of AI, such as over-reliance on technology, educational gaps, privacy issues, and impersonality in learning.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi dampak integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran bahasa, dengan fokus pada peluang dan tantangan yang muncul. Penelitian ini menggabungkan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif untuk mengumpulkan data dari pendidik dan peserta didik melalui survei, wawancara, dan diskusi kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan teknologi seperti aplikasi seluler dan platform online meningkatkan keterlibatan dan literasi digital peserta didik. Namun, penelitian ini juga mengungkap adanya kesenjangan digital yang signifikan, yang disebabkan oleh infrastruktur yang tidak memadai dan kurangnya pelatihan profesional yang berkelanjutan untuk pendidik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya investasi dalam infrastruktur teknologi dan pengembangan profesional untuk mendukung pengajaran bahasa yang efektif.AbstractThe objective of this research is to explore the impact of technology integration in language education at Universitas Negeri Padang, focusing on the emerging opportunities and challenges. This study combines qualitative and quantitative methods to collect data from educators and learners through surveys, interviews, and group discussions. The results indicate that the use of technologies such as mobile apps and online platforms enhances student engagement and digital literacy. However, the study also reveals significant digital divides, caused by inadequate infrastructure and a lack of ongoing professional training for educators. The conclusion of this research emphasizes the importance of investing in technology infrastructure and professional development to support effective language teaching.

Abstract

Introduction: This article aims to provide a better understanding of the Opportunities and Challenges in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development with a hadith perspective a pproach. Methods: This research is a descriptive qualitative research using a literature research approach. The data sources in this research are primary and secondary data sources. primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques with keyword searches, subject searches and from recent scientific articles. from recent scientific articles. Results: Report the main result/findings is that the lack and lack of ability to read opportunities is a weak point in the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. In addition, marketing strategies, networking and promotion systems and funding often make Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises unable to compete in the distribution of their products in the market. So the research is expected to provide further policy recommendations to increase the strength of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises as an opportunity and empower Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in facing various challenges. Conclusion and suggestion: This article highlights the importance of research and a deeper understanding of the Opportunities and Challenges of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development in Hadith Perspective. Along with the times, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises are the main support in the country's economic growth, but along with its development there are many challenges in its development such as human resources, inability to monitor and lack of management knowledge and funding. This activity is a business that is in line with the teachings of Islam which is recommended in terms of buying and selling that is good and in accordance with Islamic religious law.

Abstract

Code-mixing is the combination of two languages that have different linguistic elements within communication. This study aims to analyze the social factors influencing the use of code-mixing in the movie “The Guys” by Raditya Dika. The research employs Muysken's (2000) theory to identify three types of code-mixing: Insertion, Alternation, and Congruent Lexicalization. Furthermore, the research uses Bhatia and Ritchie's (2013) theory to identify four social factors: Participant Role, Situational Factors, Message-Intrinsic Factors, and Language Attitudes, Dominance, and Security. The data were categorized into different types and social factors influencing code-mixing in the movie's utterances. The research findings are expected to provide insights into the types of code-mixing frequently used in everyday conversations, as well as the social factors influencing the use of code- mixing in the utterances of “The Guys” (2017). Based on the data analysis, the researcher found 86 instances of code-mixing in this film. The findings show that this research is dominated by Insertion, with 73 (82%), and Situational Factor with 56 (36%).

Abstract

This research aims to find the types and functions of deixis in the lyrics of the Barbie movie soundtrack. Data were collected from the soundtrack's lyrics and analyzed using Huang’s (2007) theoretical framework. The study identified 377 data of deixis, highlighting its crucial role in character development and personal references. Social deixis, with 57 data, and spatial deixis, with 47 data, underscore the significance of social relationships and locational context within the narrative. Temporal deixis, appearing 33 times, delineates the temporal framework of the lyrics. Discourse deixis and emotional deixis, with 16 and 4 data respectively, are less frequent, indicating that while references to the ongoing discourse and expressions of emotional proximity are present, they are less central to the lyrical content. This analysis underscores the multifaceted nature of deixis in enriching the narrative and emotional depth of the lyrics.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Insulin merupakan obat diabetes melitus tipe-2 terutama digunakan pada pasien yang sudah tidak responsif dengan obat oral. Dikenal 2 kelompok insulin yaitu insulin analog dan insulin human. Strategi pengobatan optimal  untuk pasien diberikan antidiabetik oral. Apabila kadar HbA1c 7%, dapat diberikan insulin atau antidiabetik oral monoterapi Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membandingkan efektifitas pengobatan menggunakan obat insulin analog dan insulin human di RS. Islam Sukapura dalam periode Januari– Desember 2018. Metode: Studi retrospektif ini dilakukan berdasarkan rekam medis pasien diabetes melitus tipe-2 yang berobat di poliklinik penyakit dalam RS.Islam Sukapura dalam periode Januari–Desember 2018. Uji statistic yang digunakan yaitu uji beda mann-whitney dan uji chi-square. Hasil: Dari 200 pasien terdapat 82 orang yang mendapatkan insulin human dan rata-rata selisih HbA1c awal dan akhir sebesar 1,40 %. Pada 118 pasien yang mendapatkan insulin analog, rata-rata selisih HbA1c awal dan akhir sebesar 1,34 %. Secara statistik tidak terdapat perbedaan bermakna antara rerata selisih HbA1c awal dan akhir pasien yang mendapatkan insulin human dan insulin analog (P=0,785). Efek samping insulin yang ditemukan seperti hipoglikemia sebesar 3,5% yang dapat terjadi pada pemberian Insulin dalam jangka waktu lama dan pada dosis yang besar. Simpulan: Tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna secara statistik maupun klinik efektifitas insulin human dibandingkan insulin analog.
