Abstract

This study aimed to design and evaluate the effectiveness of "Argeo Math," a novel learning media application, in improving mathematical problem-solving abilities in elementary school students. Employing a research and development (R&D) methodology with a limited trial stage, the research examined the feasibility, practicality, and impact of Argeo Math on student performance. Positive validation results affirmed the potential of Argeo Math. Material experts awarded the application a score of 55 (84.6%), while media experts gave it an overall score of 81 (90%). The effectiveness testing demonstrated significant differences between classes using Argeo Math and those using traditional methods. Students utilizing Argeo Math achieved an average score of 78.03%, while those in the control group scored 11.36%. This represents a substantial improvement of 66.67% in problem-solving skills. Additionally, the practicality assessment categorized Argeo Math as "highly practical," with a score of 76.03%. The novelty of this research lies in the development and evaluation of Argeo Math, a unique application specifically designed to enhance elementary students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. The positive findings suggest that Argeo Math holds significant potential as a valuable tool for improving mathematical performance and fostering a deeper understanding of problem-solving strategies in elementary education

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach in stimulating the creative thinking ability of grade 1 madrasah ibtidaiyah students on the material of recognizing the shape of space. Using qualitative method with ethnographic approach, this research highlights the integration of local cultural values through contextual media in the form of traditional food, interactive technology such as wordwall, and problem-based learning model. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, with data analysis following the Miles and Huberman model. Data validity was based on triangulation of techniques and sources. The results showed that the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach in stimulating the creative thinking ability of grade 1 madrasah ibtidaiyah students on the material of recognizing the shape of a space, including: (1) students can identify spatial shapes through objects such as onde-onde (ball), layer cake (block), and diamond cake (cube); (2) students are able to see spatial shapes from various perspectives, both through concrete and digital media, (3) students show creativity by associating spatial shapes with other objects around them; (4) students can develop ideas in detail and complete challenges on the wordwall. Overall, the CRT approach helps students understand the concept of building space in a relevant, meaningful way, and supports the development of creative thinking skills holistically.

Abstract

Science learning in the independent curriculum seems to still stand alone, is oriented cognitive learning outcomes, does not relate to social issues, and is not yet oriented towards scientific literacy. In the field, there is no yet available natural and social science learning model framework that structurally involved social, ethical and moral issues, through a Socio Scientific Issues (SSI) approach that is applicable to educational practitioners. This research aims to produce a framework for a natural and social science (IPAS) learning model based on Socio Scientific Issues (SSI) approach to strengthen students' scientific literacy in elementary school. This Design Based Research (DBR) was carried out through stages problem identification and analysis; design; testing and evaluation); and reflection. This research involved teachers and students of grade IV Islamic elementary schools in Kartasura, Sukoharjo, were taken using purposive sampling. The model validity test was carried out by experts in the fields of learning models, content and language. The resulting IPAS learning model based on Socio Scientific Issues (SSI) approach framework has a validity of 99.2% (very valid) and a learning tool of 96.5% (very valid). This model is very practical to implement (score 86%), and is quite effective in strengthening the scientific literacy of elementary school students. This model is suitable for application at other elementary school levels in a wider scope, with careful planning in terms of infrastructure and time management.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to describe 1) Mic.Teams e-learning planning on science online learning in Elementary School 2) implementation of Mic. Teams -based e-learning 3) Mic.Teams based e-learning evaluation. Methodology: This research approach is qualitative, with descriptive method. Data were collected by interview and observation. Interactive data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. While the validity of the data with triangulation techniques and sources. Data sources consist of principals and teachers. Results: The results showed that 1) Mic.Teams e-learning planning on science online learning at SDN 1 Wonogiri are carried out systematically by the school and teachers, namely the school principal’s policy of forming an IT E-Learning teams, register teachers and students in office 365 accounts and teachers prepare distance learning tools in the form of syllabus, prota, promissory notes, lesson plans, teaching materials, assessment programs and LKPD. 2) Implementation of Mic.Teams -based e-learning begins with the teacher creating a virtual class and including members in the created class and utilizing the online meeting features, posts and assignments in learning 3) Mic.Teams based e-learning evaluation are conducted every month covering the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. The results of this study are used as a source of input and reflection material for schools about the implementation of Mic.Teams and as material for self-evaluation to contribute to efforts to improve the quality, process and learning outcomes of students online.

Abstract

Permainan monopoli bisa dijadikan untuk alat pembelajaran yang dipakai oleh guru didalam proses belajar mengajar. Monopoli adalah permainan kuno yang telah dikembangkan di seluruh dunia dan kemudian diciptakan kembali. Menawarkan pengembangan lingkungan permainan Monopoli berbasis problem-based learning untuk materi kelas V sekolah dasar. Tujuan riset ini ialah meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada materi saluran pencernaan manusia dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran Monopoli berbasis PBL dan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasi berdasarkan kegiatan diskusi dan presentasi hasil kerja dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran Monopoli berbasis PBL. Riset ini memakai metode riset kualitatif. Hasil dari riset ini yaitu Hasil refleksi selama proses pembelajaran banyak siswa yang menerima manfaat positif dan ada juga yang negatif. Sebagian besar mengatakan bahwa model diskusi dapat membantu pemahaman karena menjadi lebih jelas ketika dijelaskan oleh teman. Permainan monopoli berbasis PBL dapat meningkatkan pemahaman tentang materi sistem pencernaan manusia dan juga dapat menumbuhkan sikap kritis, semangat, dan kepedulian siswa terhadap sesama.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan quizizz dalam pengukuran pemahaman murid dalam aspek kognitif tingkat sekolah dasar pada mata pelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini di terapkan pada siswa kelas 4 sejumlah 6 Peserta didik,1 Guru Kelas, 1 Kepala Sekolah di SD Negeri 3 Nanggulan, Kecamatan Cawas, Kabupaten Klaten sebagai subjeknya. Metode penelitian dengan pendekatan fenomenologi dan termasuk dalam penelitian kualitatif. Untuk menguji keabsahan data dilakukan uji triangulasi menggunakan uji triangulasi teknik dan uji triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian guru memanfaatkan quizizz untuk mengukur aspek kognitif murid dalam mata pelajaran matematika. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukannya kebaruan fitur-fitur dalam quizizz dibandingkan penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya. Fitur yang dapat digunakan untuk mengukur aspek kognitif mata pelajaran matematika adalah live quiz dan paper mode dan bentuk soal yang bisa digunakan adalah multiple choice.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran PJBL dan konsep TPACK serta penerapannya pada pembelajaran di sekolah akan memberikan dampak positif terhadap pembelajaran IPA di Sekolah Dasar. Dalam penerapannya guru belum terbiasamenggunakan metode ini tetapi terbiasa menggunakan pembelajaran tradisional student centered. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan penerapan PJBL dengan pendekatan TPACK dalam pembelajaran IPA kelas VI SD Negeri sidorejo 02. Dalam penerapan ini, guru berperan sebagai fasilitator dan pendamping siswa dalam menjalankan proyek, sementara siswa berperan sebagai pembelajar aktif yang mencari solusi atas tantangan yang diberikan. Dalam hal ini peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, dengan jenis peneltian fenomenologi yang akan mendeskripsikan proses penerapan pembelajaran. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, pemberian tes dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunujukan bahwa penerapan Model Project Based Learning dengan pendekatan TPACK pada pembelajaran IPA di kelas VI SD Negeri Sidorejo 02 sudah berjalan dengan baik dan sesuai dengan visi misi sekolah. Dampak yang positifnya adalah pembelajaran semakin menarik, meningkatkan prestasi akademik maupun non akademik murid, pembelajaran tidak menjenuhkan, guru lebih kreatif.

Abstract

 This article describes a study about the learning problems of integer counting operations during the COVID-19 pandemic era. The study was qualitative descriptive research with case study methods. The study involved the students of class VI di SDN 1 Jambukidul Ceper Klaten. Techniques of data collection were carried out by applying the observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of data used was a triangulation of sources, methods, and theories. Data were also analyzed through Milles & Huberman analysis techniques. The results showed that the learning problems of integer counting operationsduring the COVID-19 pandemic were (1) the abstract material characteristics that made students difficult to digest the meaning of problems into mathematical language; (2) limited space for teachers to control student learning attitudes, and (3) students’ low motivation andlearning outcomes about integer counting operations. In this relation, the researcher recommended that further studies are needed to be studied related to the selection of innovative learning models and media that are considered effective for the integer counting operating material, especially in the COVID-19 pandemic era.

Abstract

Background: Volume sampah rumah tangga di Kecamatan Colomadu terus meningkat dan menjadi masalah serius akibat rendahnya kemampuan warga dalam mengelola sampah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan memberdayakan ibu-ibu PCA Colomadu melalui peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam pengurangan serta pengelolaan sampah secara berkelanjutan. Metode: Metode pelaksanaan meliputi edukasi, demonstrasi, workshop, dan pendampingan langsung, dengan pendekatan community-based empowerment yang menekankan partisipasi aktif peserta. Hasil: Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman peserta dari 76,29% menjadi 97,41%, serta peningkatan perilaku pengelolaan sampah dari 49,43% menjadi 70,1%. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa model pemberdayaan berbasis komunitas efektif dalam membangun kesadaran lingkungan, menumbuhkan budaya pemilahan sampah di tingkat rumah tangga, serta berpotensi menjadi model replikasi dalam program pemberdayaan masyarakat menuju pola hidup zero waste.

Abstract

Mid-semester summative assessments play a crucial role in supporting competency-based learning in the Kurikulum Merdeka. However, existing studies and field practices indicate a persistent gap: teachers rarely conduct systematic psychometric evaluations. Addressing this gap, this study aims to (1) analyze the structure and characteristics of a mid-semester mathematics summative assessment and (2) evaluate the quality of its items based on psychometric criteria within the framework of CTT. Using a mixed-methods sequential exploratory design, data were obtained from two mathematics education experts, two mathematics teachers, and a school principal in an Islamic Integrated Secondary School in Sukoharjo Regency. Data sources included interview transcripts, assessment documents, students’ response sheets, and expert validation forms. Qualitative data were analyzed through data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing, while quantitative data were examined using Aiken’s V and CTT. The findings reveal that the assessment consisted of 40 multiple-choice items and 5 essay questions, covering Number and Algebra elements of Phase D in the Merdeka Curriculum. The items' content validity was moderate, with strengths in language but weaknesses in cognitive level alignment. Empirical results showed some multiple-choice items were invalid, while all essay questions were valid and reliable (r = 0.88). Most items were moderately difficult, with a discrimination index from fair to excellent (0.3 ≤ D ≤ 0.8). However, nearly one-third of distractors in the multiple-choice items did not function well. These results highlight the need for improved item construction and teacher capacity-building to ensure assessments that align with the principles of the Kurikulum Merdeka and support high-quality measurement of student competency.
