Abstract

Observasi data awal menunjukkan adanya permasalahan, yaitu proses pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan tidak berdasarkan gaya belajar anak sehingga hasil belajar siswa rendah. Penerapan pendekatan visual, auditorial, dan kinestetik (VAK) dipilih untuk mengatasi permasalahan, menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas rancangan penelitian model Spiral Kemmis dan Taggart, dengan tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara guru, wawancara siswa, catatan lapangan, dan tes hasil belajar. Setiap aspek mengalami peningkatan di setiap siklusnya, di antaranya akumulasi hasil kinerja guru tahap perencanaan dan pelaksanaan  pada siklus I 76%, siklus II 84,35%, dan siklus III 100%.  Akumulasi aktivitas siswa dari ketiga aspek yang mencapai kategori sangat baik pada siklus I 16%, siklus II 56%, dan siklus III 92%. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I 24%, siklus II 60%, dan siklus III mencapai 88%. Dengan demikian, dapat dibuktikan bahwa penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran VAK dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pesawat sederhana.Kata kunci: Pendekatan pembelajaran visual, auditorial, dan kinestetik, Pesawat Sederhana

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of critical thinking skills of elementary school students. Problem Based Learning (PBL) models with Pre-Learning Reading were chosen as a solution to improve students' critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of critical thinking skills through PBL models with pre-learning reading; knowing the improvement of critical thinking skills through conventional learning; knowing the level of difference in critical thinking between students who study with the PBL model with pre-learning reading and students with conventional learning; knowing students' responses to PBL models with pre-learning reading. The design of this study was quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The instruments used were questions of critical thinking skills and student response questionnaires. The results of the study show that the PBL model with pre-learning reading and conventional learning can improve critical thinking skills, in terms of improving critical thinking skills, PBL models with pre-learning reading are better than conventional learning and students in the experimental class respond positively to use of the Problem-Based Learning model with Pre-Learning Reading.

Abstract

Mathematical reasoning ability of elementary school students is still undeveloped. This is evidenced by the results of learning obstacle tests conducted on fifth grade students of elementary school. Based on the results of learning obstacle tests, there are seven types of learning barriers related to mathematical reasoning. In addition, it also appears that students' resistance to two-dimensional figure. These problems encourage researchers to make an effort to solve problems by implementing Didactical Design Research based on the Realistic Mathematics Education. The purpose of this research is to detect learning obstacle, designing didactical design, implement didactical design, develop revised didactical design, implement didactical design revisions, and assess achievements of students' mathematical reasoning abilities. In each meeting, it consists of several activities that must be done or completed by students. The results of the implementation show that students' reasoning abilities in the two research subjects included in the high category.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa pada pembelajaran materi sudut masih rendah merupakan hal yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman matematis pada materi sudut dan kelayakan model realistic mathematics education sebagai rencana solusi pada materi sudut kelas IV SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif tipe survei dengan desain cross-sectional survey. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu tes diagnostik, angket, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman matematis yang dimiliki siswa pada materi sudut menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa dari tes diagnostik yaitu 41,86 masih dalam kategori cukup. Selain itu, hasil angket dan wawancara mengenai persepsi guru mengenai model realistic mathematics education sebagai rencana solusi diperoleh hasil setuju.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to improve the ability to add and subtract two numbers by using a realistic mathematical approach. The research method used is pre-experimental research with one group pretest posttest design. So in the research process using one class as an experimental class. Instruments used in this research are to test numeracy, students' daily journal, interview guides and teacher observation sheet. The technique used to analyze the data in this study is quantitatively by processing the activity data of students, teachers, and also the results of the tests. Qualitative data processing is used to complete the results of the quantitative data. Based on the results of the data that has been obtained after carrying out the research, it can be seen that there is an increase in students' ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers by learning using a realistic mathematical approach. So it can be concluded that the application of a realistic mathematical approach is able to improve the ability to add and subtract two numbers in grade I students at SDN Cikupa.

Abstract

Science concepts can be developed in everyday life because of their coverage of the environment and the environment of the surrounding community, so creativity is needed since students are at an early age. Creativity has been in students since he was born, in this case, the teacher is tasked with developing the creativity that is in students. Through the project-based learning model and discovery learning, students will be able to improve their creativity because learning is centered on students and students are free to express themselves. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in creativity of class V students by implementing a project-based learning model and discovery learning, and to find out the differences between the two groups. The study used the quasi-experimental design and design of the nonequivalent control group design. The study population was all fifth-grade students in the North Sumedang Subdistrict, with a sample of study namely fifth-grade students of Sindang II Elementary School (project-based learning), and Sindang IV Elementary School (discovery learning). Based on the results of the study, the project-based learning model and discovery learning model can improve the creativity of class V students in heat transfer material, but the discovery learning model is significantly better in increasing the creativity of class V students in heat transfer material with a second test of gain average difference the group obtained sig (1-tailed) of 0.338.

Abstract

Indonesian has four language skills that must be have. One of the four skills is speaking. Many activitiescan be taught to improve speaking skills, one of them is interviewing activities. Early data indicates thatthere are problems in the interview activity. Based on this, these problems can be used as the basis ofclassroom action research (CAR), with the aim to correcting problems. To fix this, the Student TeamsAchievement Divisions (STAD) method assisted by an Android-based media in the form of anapplication is applied. The STAD is part of Cooperative Learning, which student groups characteristics.For the media, features are adapted to the STAD syntax, so it can help and attract student attention inlearning. This research was conducted in three cycles. In first cycle, students who pass the test just7 students equal to 24.1%. In second cycle, students who pass the test is 17 students equal to58.6%. In third cycle, students who pass the test is 26 students equal to 89.6%. Thus, it can beconcluded that STAD assisted by android-based media applications can improve studentlearning outcomes. It was found that there was an increasement in learning outcomes in each cycleand had reached the teachers target of more than 85%.

Abstract

This research motivated by the increasing levels of the ecological crisis is happening on earth. Requires awareness of humans as intelligent beings who inhabit the earth to overcome it. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference ekoliterasi students using a model project-based learning with conventional learning. Methods and research design used in this research is quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design. Samples were taken from class II SDN Parakanmuncang VB as an experimental class and class VC as the control class. The results of this study, is a positive influence that showed an increase ekoliterasi students in the experimental class and control class and the use of model of project-based learning is more effective in improving student ekoliterasi significantly than expository.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis yang masih kurang merupakan hal yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kesulitan yang dialami siswa dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi pecahan. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif tipe survei lintas-bagian (cross-sectional survey). Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas IV SDN Tenjonagara, Kabupaten Sumedang berjumlah 45 siswa. Dalam pengambilan instrumen penelitian ini diambil analisis berupa tes diagnostik yang dilakukan kepada siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi pecahan memperlihatkan bahwa kemampuan siswa berada pada tingkat kategori sedang yaitu 57,77 sehingga kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa masih perlu ditingkatkan agar lebih optimal. Kesulitan yang dialami siswa berdasarkan analisis kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam penelitian ini yaitu sulit dalam mengoperasikan hitungan matematika, sulit membedakan simbol-simbol, sulit menemukan kata kunci, sulit mengubah kalimat ke dalam representasi matematika, dan sulit menyusun strategi penyelesaian dengan tepat.

Abstract

Mathematics is anvimportant science for life. Also besides, mathematics is the basis for other sciences, so it is important to master mathematical understanding and disposition skills. Through the project-based learning model, the teacher optimizes learning to improve mathematical understanding and disposition. This study aims to determine the increase in mathematical understanding and disposition through project-based learning models and conventional models and to find out the positive relationship between mathematical understanding andidisposition ability. This study used a quasi-experimental method with the design of the nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were all fourth-grade students in Cicalengka District, with a sample of fourth-grade students at SDN Leuwiliang (experiment), and SDN Dampit 01 (control). Conclusions from this study are, 1) Project-based learning models and conventional models can improve mathematical understanding and disposition skills, 2) Project-based learning models are better at improving mathematical understanding and disposition than conventional models, 3) There is a positive relationship between the ability of understanding and mathematical disposition.Project-based Learning Model, Mathematical Understanding Ability, Mathematical Disposition.
