Abstract

Learning materials are all materials used to help teacher in their learning process in the classroom, and istima’ (listening skill) is one of the four language skills that are basis for mastering other language skills such as speaking, reading and writing. The book of Silsilah Al-Daurah Al-Mukathafah fi Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyah is a book whose teaching material is sourched from several books written by learning experts in the Middle East, such as ‘Arabiyah Bayna Yadayk and Durûs Al-Lughah Al-‘Arabiyah and others. Researchers want to know about how to fill and apply the material istima’ in the book Silsilah Al-Daurah Al-Mukathafah fi Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyah in order to provide the right solution to the problems in the book using Richards theory. This study uses qualitative descriptive method to analyze the content of the book and the application of istima’ material according to the book of Silsilah Al-Daurah Al-Mukathafah fi Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyah in the Al-Fathimiyah Islamic Boarding School in Tambakberas Jombang. This study also uses descriptive analysis methods in its applied research. According to Richards in the preparation of the material istima’ uses four approaches, Bottom-Up Processing, Top-Down Processing, Transactional and Interactional. The results of this study indicate that the istima’ material in the book Silsilah Al-Daurah Al-Mukathafah fi Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyah and the application using the Bottom-up Processing and Transactional, because the material and the application are more inclined giving a detailed meaning.

Abstract

The difficulties in learning maharah kalam at the level of suprsegmental phonemes are found when students learn Arabic. Intonation errors, stress, and pausing. Therefore, this research was conducted to find out these mistakes and the solutions given by teacher in SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Surabaya. This research is a qualitative descriptive with the population of 8th grade student and the sampling is 8th grade C. Data collection techniques used in this research are using the method of observation, interview and questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used aredata reduction, data display, and data verification. The results showed: 1) errors in word stress were 49 errors; 2) errors in intonation were 30 errors; 3) errors at pauses were 55 errors. The solutions given by teacher with these mistakes were: 1) instructing students to repeat the dialogue to use the right intonation, stress, dan pause; 2) translating the text of theconversation and students writing the translation in their books, then the students will better understand the difference in meaning from the differences in intonation, stress, dan pause; 3) the teacher gives examples of the correct pronounciation of words according to the right intonation, stress, and pause.

Abstract

Objective- This study aims to find out whether the book Muhawaratul Haditsah first chapter complies with the four criteria for teaching materials put forward by Abdul Ghali and whether this book is suitable for learning Arabic.  Design / Methodology / Qualitative- This research uses the documentation method or what is often referred to as library research or library research with a content analysis approach. What was used to collect data and information in this study were documents related to research and analysis of the textbooks examined by researchers.  Findings- This research shows that the book "Muhawarotil Haditsah" first chapter as a whole focuses on the contents of the book learning about Islamic culture and learning adab or noble character, this aims so that students can learn how to be a Muslim and socialize well in their environment both at school and at home. And although the four criteria for teaching materials put forward by Abdul Ghali are not one hundred percent fulfilled by this book, this book is very feasible to use, especially for students who are in Islamic boarding schools.  Research Limitations/Implications- In this study, the researcher focused on researching or analyzing the contents of the book "Muhawarotul Haditsah" first chapter using the basis of the subject matter proposed by Nasir Abdul Ghali. Namely, the basis of culture, psychology, language and education.

Abstract

This reserach aims to describe the phenomenon of Arabic and Indonesian code switching at TMI al-Amien Prenduan Madura. The use of Arabic as the instruction language of classroom remains a problem because of the language backgrounds diversity both teachers and students. The problem refers to code switching between two or more languages. By using qualitative methods, the research uses recordings, observations and interviews as data collection tools. Then the data is sorted and analyzed by comparing and discussing the presentation of the data based on the theory and practice sections. The results showed that code switching between Arabic and Indonesian occurred in the classroom, either in formal or informal language variations. The causes or motives for using code switching are identified in five reasons, (1) specific theme, (2) quotation, (3) solidarity, (4) clarification, and (5) terminology. This finding rejects the view that code switching is a language defect, such as the case of language interference which occurs due to a lack of knowledge about linguistic elements. On the contrary, this finding strengthens the case of Arabic and Indonesian code switching as the deliberate use of language for certain social purposes, both teachers and students, which is supported by a variety of pragmatics and a micro-level social context, as the classroom conversation strategy.

Abstract

Arabic is a language full of polymorphism. Where Arabic verbs have an inflectional form and derivative of agglutinative type. This study aims to analyze and explore various types of isim (nouns) in Arabic, which has various affixation variations. Various forms of Arabic word processing give rise to various meanings. This research is library research with qualitative approach and descriptive syncronic method. The findings of this study resulted that the variety of affixation isim (nouns) can be formed from verbs and adjectives with the addition of letters. The affixing process can occur early / prefix (as-sabiq), infixs / insertion (ziyadah), and confixs / prefix and suffixs (as-saabiq wa al-laahiq). The addition of the affixes of the prefix verbs, and the base of the hamzah prefixes, of the adjectiva and verb infix using alif letters, from the noun base consist of suffix ya 'syaddah, alif-nun confixs, nun-wawu, nun-ya' and nun-alif-ta'. Basic verb conjunction with mim-alif, mim-ta' and mim-wawu. Meanwhile, the conceivable meanings include isim alat, isim maf’ul, isim faa’il, isim makan, dan isim zaman.

Abstract

In general, Arabic language learning in Indonesia, particularly in higher education, faces various challenges such as the scarcity of well-prepared Arabic language learning books and the lack of adequate learning media and resources. Efforts have been made to address these challenges through the introduction of contextual-based digital learning materials. The aim of this research is to explore the role of contextual-based digital learning materials in higher education and to examine students' responses to the availability of contextual-based digital Arabic language learning books. The research methodology employed in this study is qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and questionnaires. Data analysis follows four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings of the research indicate that the use of contextual-based digital learning materials, presented in the form of modules accessible via computers or Android devices, can capture students' interest and contribute to the improvement of Arabic language learning. Students respond positively to the availability of contextual-based digital Arabic language learning books, as it allows them to explore language knowledge within real-life contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi penerapan metode "The Power of Two" dalam upaya meningkatkan motivasi belajar mata pelajaran PIQIH di MAS Al Manar Jalan Karya Bakti No.34, Medan Johor. Metode ini mengintegrasikan konsep pembelajaran berpasangan dan kolaboratif, dengan fokus pada meningkatkan interaksi sosial, partisipasi aktif, dan pemahaman konsep PIQIH. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksperimental dengan kelompok eksperimen yang menerapkan metode "The Power of Two" dan kelompok kontrol yang mengikuti metode konvensional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode "The Power of Two" secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran PIQIH. Siswa di kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam tingkat partisipasi, pemahaman konsep, dan hasil belajar dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Selain itu, metode ini juga memberikan dampak positif terhadap interaksi sosial antara siswa, menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih kolaboratif dan mendukung. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode "The Power of Two" dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, khususnya dalam mata pelajaran PIQIH. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah untuk mengadakan pelatihan bagi guru-guru untuk mengimplementasikan metode ini secara lebih luas dan mengevaluasi dampak jangka panjangnya terhadap prestasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that (1) the state of society in general has not fully perform prayers in themosque, making it difficult to inculcate the habit of public prayers for students, (2) The trend behavior of primary schoolstudents in general are playing around and joking, so unruly to order in worship, and (3) the students made up of diverseenvironments and habits at home, there are familiar congregational prayers some are not used to. The purpose of thisstudy was to determine the depth of the measures applied in the habituation efforts Integrated Islamic Elementary School(SDIT) Darul Fikri Argamakmur in public prayers in the students and the achievements seen from the behavior of thestudent prayer. This study used a qualitative method with descriptive approach. The collection of data through observation,interviews, and document analysis. Testing the validity of the data through continuous observation and triangulation ofsources and methods. Presentation of the results and analysis of data using interactive models, include: data collection, datareduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The efforts of habituation publicprayers in Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) Darul Fikri Argamakmur done by incorporating activities habituationcongregational prayers in the curriculum as a basic framework of routines and learning, and establish measures such asscheduling clerk prayer pilgrims, making Kultum schedule, schedule security officer, complete the facilities of the mosque,providing infaq box, and make a deposit program rote. (2) The results achieved by Integrated Islamic Elementary School(SDIT) Darul Fikri Argamakmur in public prayers familiarize students is 80% of parents are satisfied with the increase inreligious discipline their children.

Abstract

When a statement enters the public domain such as social media, it will have many implications for the discourse and critical context that accompany it. Likewise, with debates on social media Twitter that intersect with religious understanding such as radicalism, there are funny line accounts present that try to break the high tension of cyber warfare. This study aims to describe how Twitter accounts openly negotiate the educational values ​​of religious moderation on social media. By using a web-based social phenomenology approach, this study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Twitter account @NUgarislucu was chosen as the data source and data was collected through online documentation. While the analysis uses critical discourse analysis from Teun A. van. Dijk. The results reveal that punchline tweets have been used to negotiate educational values ​​of religious moderation through the integrated priciples of tawassuth, tasâmuh, and tawâzun. Negotiations were carried out with various themes, including (1) religious conversion, (2) religion and suicide bombings, (3) religion and political identity, (4) religion and the political order of the khilāfah., and (5) religion and nationalism. Thus, the findings reinforce the notion that the delivery of religious content which is often considered heavy and boring is more acceptable to netizens through humor.

Abstract

LITERACY MANAGEMENT STRATEGY PROGRAM IN INCREASING STUDENTS READING INTERESR AT MTSN 3 SURABAYA CITYThe purpose of this study was to determine the literacy program management strategy in increasing students' interest in reading at MTsN 3 Surabaya City. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive research that collects data on the behavior and speech of a group of subjects. The research instruments used in this study were interviews, observations, and documentation for data collection. The results of the interviews revealed two strategies for literacy program management in increasing students' interest in reading at MTsN 3 Surabaya City: First, literacy program planning through a schedule. Second, teachers act as motivators, facilitators, and mentors for students. Management strategies in increasing students' interest in reading through student scientific writing and SAGU SAKU (One Teacher One Book). Challenges that can hinder the development of student literacy at MTsN 3 Surabaya City is the lack of experienced teachers using supporting learning media. Evaluation or assessment is very important in the learning process because it is used as a tool to measure students' abilities and interests in literacy activities.
