Abstract

ISLAMIC EDUCATION SUPERVISION: INTEGRATING THE CONCEPT OF HISBAH WITH TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP THEORY This research and journal aim to analyze the implementation of Islamic education supervision by integrating the concept of hisbah and transformational leadership theory at MI Darul Ulum Tambakrejo, Sidoarjo. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data for this study were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, involving the school principal and teachers as the primary sources of information. This research indicates that the educational supervision at MI Darul Ulum is not only evaluative in nature but also focuses on guidance based on Islamic values such as amr ma’ruf nahi munkar (enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong), justice, and exemplary conduct (keteladanan). The school principal plays the role of a muhasib with a function of moral supervision, as well as a transformational leader who motivates and inspires teachers. The implemented transformative Islamic supervision contributes to the enhancement of teachers' professionalism and spirituality. However, some constraints were found, such as limited time and initial resistance to the supervision's early implementation. This supervision model has the potential to become an ideal approach for Islamic educational institutions in strengthening overall learning quality.

Abstract

Abstract: Motivation of UIN Sunan Ampel Students in Online Learning in the Era of a Pandemic: A Review from Hamzah B. Uno’s Perpsective In the era of the Covid-19 pandemic, the education sector underwent many changes. All learning activities, especially in tertiary institutions, are transferred online. These changes have an impact on student learning motivation. This study aims to identify and describe students' learning motivation in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method uses descriptive with a quantitative approach. The technique used in sampling was purposive sampling with respondents from Islamic Education Management students at Sunan Ampel State Islamic University Surabaya class of 2018. The data collection technique used a Google Form-based questionnaire. The research subjects consisted of 62 students. Data analysis was performed using percentage statistical formulas. The results of the study concluded that student learning motivation in online learning during a pandemic tended to be high, reaching a response of 33.09% strongly agree; 50.54% agree, and 29.12% are neutral. This finding offers new knowledge related to Hamzah B. Uno's theory of motivation and measurement, where during online learning, motivation with various levels of indicators has placed independence as the most important variable.Abstrak: Motivasi Mahasiswa UIN Sunan Ampel dalam Pembelajaran Online di Era Pandemi: Tinjauan Perspektif Hamzah B. UnoDi era pandemi Covid-19 sektor pendidikan mengalami banyak perubahan. Seluruh kegiatan pembelajaran khususnya di perguruan tinggi dialihkan secara daring. Perubahan tersebut memberikan dampak pada motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan guna mengetahui dan mendeskiripsikan motivasi belajar mahsiswa dalam pembelajaran online selama pandemi Covid-19. Metode menggunakan deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling dengan responden sebagian mahasiswa Manajemen Pendidikan Islam Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Ampel Surabaya angkatan 2018. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner berbasis Google Form. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 62 mahasiswa. Analisis data yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan rumus statistik persentase. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa motivasi belajar mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran online selama pandemi cenderung tinggi, mencapai respon 33,09% sangat setuju; 50,54% setuju, dan 29,12% netral. Temuan ini menawarkan pengetahuan baru terkait teori motivasi dan pengukuran Hamzah B. Uno, di mana selama pembelajaran daring berlangsung, motivasi dengan beragam tingkat indikatornya telah menempatkan kemandirian sebagai variabel paling penting.

Abstract

Arabic language learning in the global era demands linguistic mastery combined with cross-cultural competence. However, Arabic learning practices in Islamic schools (madrasah) in Indonesia are still textual and less contextual, so that students' interests and communicative skills are limited. This study aims to formulate a local culture-based Arabic language learning model through an ethno-edutainment approach as an adaptive curriculum innovation for the 21st century. The method used is library research with an analytical-critical approach, exploring the latest literature (2021–2025) related to Arabic language learning, local culture, edutainment, Islamic school, and global education. The analysis was carried out through content analysis and conceptual synthesis to design a holistic model framework. The results of the study indicate that: a) Arabic language learning in the challenges of global education, b) Local culture as a source of Arabic language learning, c) The concept of ethno-edutainment in a theoretical perspective, d) Design of a conceptual model for Arabic language learning based on ethno-edutainment, e) Opportunities and challenges of ethno-edutainment as a curriculum innovation in Islamic schools. The contribution of this research is theoretical by expanding the study of culture-based Arabic language learning, and practical as a guide for learning design, creative media development, and curriculum innovation that connects local identity with the demands of global education.

Abstract

Growing older is a definite cycle of growth and development in everyone's life. All kinds of joys and pains can be experienced, as the crisis of middle adulthood is a crossroads between the peak of psychological well-being and the stress of stress. This research aims to determine the influence of purpose and life satisfaction as predictors of coping with stress-inducing crises in middle adulthood. This research used a quantitative design with a sample of 96 middle-aged adults aged 40 and over. The research sample was selected using a convenience sampling method through an online questionnaire with multiple linear regression data analysis methods. The instrument for this research uses a meaning in life Scale prepared by researchers based on Frankl's Theory of the meaning in life, the LSI - A Life Satisfaction Scale, and the Stress Scale from the DASS - 42. The results of the study showed that the meaning in life and life satisfaction influence the crisis period of middle-aged adults in coping with stress. (R = 0.653; R² = 0.426; F = 34.557; p < 0.000) using multiple linear regression tests. The effect of purpose in life is not significant with stress (t = 2.132; p = 0.036), life satisfaction is significantly related to stress (t = 8.187; p < 0.000). Facing and coping with crises in middle adulthood therefore requires taking life satisfaction into account when seeking solutions to the stress they cause.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of data-driven approaches with the principle of shura in Islamic education management using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA 2020 protocol. A total of 27 selected articles from reputable databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and SINTA (2020–2025) were analyzed. The findings indicate a significant shift from administrative digitalization toward advanced data analytics and intelligent algorithms in decision-making processes. However, the dominance of technological approaches risks neglecting ethical, spiritual, and value-based dimensions inherent in Islamic education. Therefore, this study emphasizes the integration of Islamic epistemology, including bayani, burhani, and irfani, in decision-making. The concept of shura acts as a collective validation mechanism for data analysis results, ensuring that decisions are not purely algorithmic. This study proposes the Data-Driven Shura (DDS) model as an integrative framework combining data analytics with Islamic values to support holistic decision-making. The contribution lies in bridging modern technology with Islamic ethical principles in educational management.

Abstract

Nāsikh dan Mansukh  merupakan salah satu konsep dalam studi Al-Qur’an yang memiliki peranan penting dalam perubahan hukum dari masa ke masa. Salah satu pembahasan yang cukup menarik dalam konteks negara Indonesia adalah usaha penerapan  hukuman rajam bagi pelaku zina di Provinsi Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD). Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) adalah provinsi yang menerapkan hukuman pidana Islam di Indonesia. Salah satu hukum yang dijalankan adalah peradilan bagi pelaku zina dengan cara dicambuk. Dikursus mengenai kemungkinan penerapan hukuman rajam di Aceh atau peradilan bagi pelaku zina yang telah dijalankan di Aceh menjadi bahan perdebatan di kalangan akademisi. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menelaah konsep Nāsikh dan Mansukh dalam sistem peradilan bagi pelaku zina serta mengevaluasi legitimasi hukuman tersebut dalam kerangka hukum Islam di Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan tematik (maudu’i), yang melibatkan penelusuran terhadap sumber-sumber hukum Islam seperti Al-Qur’an, hadis, jurnal-jurnal Ilmiyah serta pandangan ulama klasik dan kontemporer. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa konsep Nāsikh dan Mansukh memainkan peran penting dalam memahami dinamika perubahan hukum dalam Islam, termasuk dalam perdebatan mengenai keabsahan dan kemungkinan penerapan hukum rajam di Aceh. Studi ini memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai posisi hukum rajam dalam hukum Islam serta relevansinya dengan sistem hukum yang berlaku di Indonesia.

Abstract

The main problem in this study is the poor quality of education, which comes from the weak way educational supervision is carried out in schools. Supervision is very important because it helps, guides, and improves teachers' skills, making the learning process work well and smoothly. The goal of this study is to look at how supervision can help improve education quality by making teachers perform better and making learning more effective. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Information was gathered through detailed interviews, observations, and reviewing documents with school principals, teachers, and supervisors. The data was analyzed in three steps: reducing the data, presenting it, and drawing clear conclusions. The findings show that when supervision is planned, ongoing, and done together, it helps teachers get better at planning lessons, managing classes, and sharing results about student learning. The discussion shows that the success of supervision depends a lot on the supervisor's skills, good communication, and support from the school's environment. In conclusion, supervision is more than just watching over; it's also about helping teachers grow and improve. When supervision is done in a caring, involved way that focuses on what teachers need, it really helps make the school environment better and supports higher quality teaching.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini akan didasarkan pada banyaknya kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dalam percakapan bahasa Arab tanpa menggunakan aturan gramatikal. Bagaimana siswa memahami tata bahasa sehingga siswa dapat berbicara dalam gaya bertutur sehari-hari. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana besarnya kesalahan berbicara bahasa Arab dan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya analisis kesalahan tata bahasa dalam tuturan pada mahasiswa Institut Al-Asry Kebaban. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumen. Dalam penelitian ini teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menginduksi kesalahan dan mengidentifikasi faktor yang benar Analisis kesalahan linguistik gramatikal pada tuturan mahasiswa Al Asry Institute Kabban. Hasil penelitian ilmiah ini adalah adanya kesalahan berbahasa arab pada saat dzikir, disebutkan dalam pengkondisian, kesalahan dalam penentuan komposisi akhir arab. Menganalisis kesalahan gramatikal linguistik dalam tuturan siswa tentang hasil observasi siswa karena beberapa faktor antara lain penguasaan tata bahasa, penggunaan kata yang kurang tepat, ketepatan dalam tuturan, kurangnya motivasi berbicara dan kurangnya kosa kata siswa.

Abstract

Problematika yang terjadi di kalangan peserta didik sering mengalami kesulitan Ketika menulis huruf huruf arab yang baik dan benar ini terjadi dikarenakan Ketika proses menulis tidak ada penekanan dari pengajar kepada peserta didik dan juga karena didalam menulis memilki hubungan antara proses berfikir dan proses expesif keindahan, Materi keterampilan menulis (maharah al-kitabah) diberikan agar siswa dapat membentuk alphabet dan mengeja. Selain itu, juga dapat membantu siswa dalam menyalurkan fikiran dan perasaan melalui tulisan. Meningkatkan maharah al-kitabah terdapat beberapa macam teknik salah satu adalah khat (kaligrafi). Khat merupakan proses menulis rapi,  keindahan, sehingga dalam pembelajaran khat peserta didik tidak hanya menulis menulis huruf dan membentuk kata serta kalimat saja, tetapi juga menyentuh aspek estetika atau keindahan, sehingga membuat mereka nyama dan betah untuk terus menulis Oleh karena itu, tujuan pembelajaran khat adalah agar para peserta didik terampil menulis huruf-huruf dan kalimat bahasa Arab dengan benar dan indah. Metode pembelajaran yang cocok untuk kaligrafi yautu metode demonstrasi, metode menjiplak, metode ceramah, metode penugasan dan metode drill.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and explore the phenomenological approach in Islamic Studies from the perspective of Annemarie Schimmel, as well as her contribution to Islamic Studies. It aims to offer a deeper understanding of Islamic beliefs, practices, and spiritual experiences. The research uses a literature review (library research) with a historical figure study approach. The researcher collected data from scientific articles, journals, books, and relevant documents, which were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively using content analysis. The findings of this study reveal that Schimmel's phenomenology is an approach that seeks to understand and penetrate the essence of religion by first examining its phenomena and then delving into the deeper layers of human responses to God until reaching the most profound sacred essence of each religion the centre, the divine, or Deus absconditus. This approach aims to interpret the meaning of Islamic teachings as understood and experienced by its followers rather than based on preconceived notions or the researcher's observations. In practice, this approach employs the concentric ring model theory, which helps create a more empathetic and objective understanding of the religious experiences of Muslims. This theory can serve as a valuable tool for interfaith dialogue and enhancing the image of Islam in the Western world.
