Abstract

This research aims to produce a test instrument for students' mathematical reflective thinking ability on algebraic material. This research used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects used were 35 seventh grade students in one of the private junior high schools in Tangerang City. Based on the results of the material expert validation received an average score of 87.7% with very valid criteria. The validity of the items received an average of 0.82 very valid criteria. Then it has a Chronbach's Alpha value of 0.945 which means reliable. In addition, the level of difficulty of moderate questions is 3 questions, difficult 1 question and easy 1 question. The results of the student response questionnaire after working on the test instrument obtained a score of 78% with good criteria. Then based on these results, the development of test instruments for students' mathematical reflective thinking skills is valid, reliable and worthy of use

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a test instrument to measure mathematical problem-solving ability by looking at the development procedures and the quality of the mathematics problem solving instruments developed. The research used is the type of research (R&D) that is the development of test instruments to measure the ability to solve mathematical problems. The development model of this research instrument is developed on the basis of the Tessmer model which is the formative type of evaluation, i.e. (1) preliminary stage, (2) self evaluation stage, (3) prototyping stage (expert reviews, one-to-one and small group) and (4) field test stage. The test subject of the experiment were X Students of SMAN 2 Bayah which amounted to 25 students. Based on the results of experiments conducted, it is found that: (1) math problem solving test instrument has been said "valid" because based on the CVR results are 1 and meet the criteria of  ≥ 0.99 and CVI is 1 with a category perfectly suitable or in the range 0,68-1,00 (2) mathematical problem-solving test instrument is said to be reliable with a value of 0.754 with high category, and is in the range of 0.60 < r11 < 0,80 (3)instrumen test the math problem solving device has a level of difficulty good then the average level of difficulty obtained is 0.58 with the medium category that is in the range of 0.31 to 0.70. (4) instrumen test math problem solving devices has a power a good differentiator and the average distinguishing power obtained is 0.35 with sufficient category or is in the range Dp > 0.2. As a result, the produced instrument is appropriate for assessing pupils' mathematical problem-solving abilities

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop a mathematical test instrument based on Higher Order Thingking Skills for high school students. The research methods used in this research are research and development methods or Research and Development. (R&D). The data-gathering instruments for this search are teacher lift, student perception lift, observation sheet, interview guide, and the definition test of Higher Order Thinking Skills. (HOTS). The study was tested on 25 students of the eighth grade of high school, the test was carried out on the material of linear equations and linear inequalities of one variable. The results of the research show that: 1) the test instrument Higher Order Thinking Skills developed is valid and reliable, 2) has an average difficulty level for each type of question, and 3) the test instruments Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) developed fall into the category both in different power tests. So, the tool developed by the researchers deserves to be used as an assessment to measure the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) test for high school students

Abstract

Mathematical reasoning ability is an important ability that students must master, but this ability is still relatively low. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the metacognitive approach on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The method used in this research is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). This research used 19 articles from 2018 to 2023 sourced from national and international journals, namely 16 articles with a Sinta index, 2 articles from Google Scholar, and 1 international proceedings journal. The results of the SLR research show that the implementation of the metacognitive approach has an effective impact on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The metacognitive approach can train students to develop mathematical reasoning abilities

Abstract

Mathematical literacy skills are students' ability to analyze mathematical problems. Based on the results of PISA (Program for International Student Assessment), the level of mathematical literacy of students in Indonesia is still low. One way to find out the level of students' mathematical literacy skills is to provide description test questions. In this study, researchers will provide mathematical literacy description test questions which are limited to five of the six PISA levels of mathematical literacy. This test will cover three main indicators of mathematical literacy, namely formulating, using concepts, facts and mathematical reasoning (employ), and interpreting and evaluating (interpret). This research aims to analyze the mathematical literacy abilities of junior high school students in Cilegon City. The method used in this research is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The analysis was carried out by collecting data from articles and journals that were relevant to the topic of discussion, namely the mathematical literacy abilities of junior high school students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is expected to be able to foster numeracy literacy skills and HOTS skills, in this case which is raised by social arithmetic material. This research is a development research using a four-D (4D) model, conducted on June 3, 2024 for 32 grade VII junior high school students. The instrument developed consists of 4 descriptive questions. The results of this study show that HOTS-based numeracy literacy development questions can be used to support numeracy literacy with a validity test conducted by as many as 32 respondents. The results are based on the calculation of the r value > 0.349, for df = 32-2 = 30, α = 0.05, then the item is valid, the reliability value of the question is 0.63, showing that the level of the instrument developed meets the reliability aspect.

Abstract

The ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model aims to create a polynomial material test instrument that can improve the mathematical reflective thinking abilities of Madrasah Aliyah (MA) students. Development begins with an analysis stage to determine learning needs and objectives. At the design stage, Protoype-1 was created which included various aspects of the assessment. Protoype-1 was tested on 30 class XI MIPA students at the implementation stage. The results of the instrument reliability analysis show a coefficient of 0.47 which is sufficient for the initial stage of development. The results of this research show that the test instrument created can differentiate students who have different levels of mathematical reflective thinking ability. The questions are of medium difficulty level from 1 to 5, which ensures that the questions are neither too easy nor too difficult for students. In addition, the discriminating power of the five questions tested was of a good level, indicating that the questions were effective in differentiating between students of different levels. The research results show that the test instrument created can be used as a valid and reliable measuring tool to assess MA students' mathematical reflective thinking abilities. Therefore, this instrument can help teachers develop and develop students' mathematical reflective thinking abilities more effectively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Instrumen tes matematika berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills, yang didasarkan pada rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Studi ini diuji pada 30 responden. Kajian pustaka dan pengamatan lapangan dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pengembangan instrumen. Alat ukur yang dikembangkan divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli pendidikan matematika untuk memastikan kesesuaian item dengan indikator yang telah ditetapkan. Uji lapangan dilakukan pada sampel yang lebih representatif untuk menguji validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen. Berdasarkan hasil analisis validitas butir soal, instrumen Higher Orther Thinking Skills pada materi aljabar dinyatakan valid dengan tingkat kesulitan dalam rentang 0,3 < P ≤0,7 dan koefisien minimal 0,859 > 0,6. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI dari Jurusan America Europa dan Middle East di SMA Al-Wildan Islamic School 7 Serang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alat ukur yang dikembangkan memiliki validitas dan reliabilitas yang tinggi serta relevan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan Higher Order Thinking Skills siswa. Uji lapangan pada sampel yang representatif menunjukkan bahwa alat ukur ini efektif dalam menilai kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Instrumen ini kemudian disebarluaskan kepada guru dan sekolah untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar sehari-hari. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa melalui pendekatan yang lebih konkret dan aplikatif.

Abstract

Fokus tujuan penelitian yaitu menyelidiki bagaimana pendekatan supervisi kolaboratif dapat diterapkan untuk peningkatan kemahiran profesional guru di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Margajaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Sekolah (PTS) dengan model Mc. Taggart, dengan teknik kuantitataif deskriptif melibatkan partisipasi 22 pendidik (guru). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan supervisi kolaboratif efektif dalam meningkatkan kemahiran profesional guru. Pada tahap pra-siklus, kompetensi profesional guru berada pada tingkat 60,2 (kurang), meningkat menjadi 73,6 (cukup) pada siklus 1. Selanjutnya, kemampuan profesional guru meningkat sebesar 11,9 poin dari siklus 1 ke siklus 2, dengan nilai rata-rata mencapai 85,5 yang dianggap baik. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan supervisi kolaboratif berhasil meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru di SDN 1 Margajaya.

Abstract

Mystery Box is a media for learning numeracy that is currently popular and suitable for use in learning numeracy skills. This research aims to determine the process of developing the Mystery Box media, to determine the feasibility of the learning media and students' responses to the Mystery Box media and to determine the improvement in numeracy skills in class I elementary school students. This research was conducted at Az-Zahra Elementary School. Data collection techniques in this research are interviews, observation, questionnaires and documentation. The research and development method uses a research and development research design by Borg & Gall which was developed by Sugiono, namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, product validation, design revision, and product trials (limited trials). Based on validation by material experts, they obtained an average percentage score of 79% in the "Decent" category, validation by media experts obtained an average percentage score of 82% in the "Very Appropriate" category. The accumulated validation results of the Mystery Box learning media obtained an average percentage score of 80.5% in the "Decent" category. The results of product trials (limited trials) on 20 class I students at Az-Zahra Elementary School obtained an average percentage score of 92.50% in the "Very Eligible" category. Based on the results of research and development, it can be concluded that the Mystery Box learning media is very suitable and very good for use in learning numeracy skills in class I elementary school.
