Abstract

Pada saat ini, anak-anak dituntut untuk memiliki kemampuan berkomunikasi dan bekerjasama dengan berbagai pihak sebagai sumber daya manusia di abad 21, sehingga sekolah sebagai lingkungan belajar anak perlu memperkenalkan bahasa asing, salah satunya adalah bahasa Inggris. Untuk itu guru dituntut untuk berkreasi dan berinovasi dalam menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, mampu memotivasi anak, mudah ditiru serta memberikan pengalaman yang berkesan dalam proses pembalajaran bahasa Inggris, salah satunya adalah menggabungkan beberapa metode pengajaran. Pada sekolah PG-TK @Delft’s Education guru telah menggabungkan metode TPR dengan teaching English using by song dalam mengembangkan bahasa Inggris. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi tentang krativitas dan inovasi guru dalam menggabungkan metode TPR dan teaching English using by song untuk mempermudah anak dalam memahami konsep dasar bahasa Inggris. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pemahaman anak terhadap bahasa Inggris menjadi lebih mudah dipahami oleh anak dan memberikan informasi tentang kreativitas dan inovasi guru dalam mengembangkan bahasa Inggris. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini direkomendasikan kepada pendidik anak usia dini bahwa penggabungan metode TPR dengan teaching English using by song dapat mengembangkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris anak usia dini.Kata Kunci: Bahasa Inggris, anak usia dini, Metode TPR, Lagu

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah calistung (membaca, menulis, berhitung) memiliki resiko terjadinya stress akademik anak usia dini. penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus. terdapat subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu guru dari tiga TK sekecamatan Banjaran, wawancara dan observasi digunakan untuk proses pengumpulan data, selain itu analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan analisis data Grounded Theory.Kata Kunci : Membaca, Menulis, Berhitung, Stress Akademik, Anak Usia Dini

Abstract

The transition from Early Childhood Education (ECE) to primary school is a critical stage in the development of young children. The role of ECE teachers in preparing children's readiness for learning during this transition period is key to ensuring a successful adaptation to a new environment and more complex academic demands. This study aims to thoroughly evaluate the role of ECE teachers in supporting school readiness among young children during the transition from ECE to primary school. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, using interviews as the primary data collection technique. The study involved three ECE teachers as participants. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that ECE teachers play a vital role in developing children's social, emotional, academic, and self-reliance skills during the transition period. They create supportive learning environments, introduce basic concepts, foster independence, and provide emotional support to the children. ECE teachers contribute to building a strong foundation for children's academic success in primary school. The implications of this study highlight the importance of emphasizing the role of ECE teachers in preparing children for the changes they face when entering a new phase in their education. A deeper understanding of the role of ECE teachers can help enhance early childhood education, ensuring a more meaningful and supportive learning experience for children during the transition to primary school.

Abstract

From the year 2000 to the year 2022, Indonesia has had a number of natural disasters that were big enough to be called "national disasters." After a natural disaster occurs, it has a significant physical and social impact. The Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) method is applied to determine the handling priority after a disaster due to the simple calculation process. The physical and psychological impacts caused by natural disasters in Indonesia are often ignored consciously. With the aim of normalization, it is necessary to repair and restore all aspects of public or community services as part of an effort to rehabilitate post-disaster areas. It is important to recognize the contribution to post-disaster reconstruction for victims who lost daily routine activities, emotional disturbance, family loss, and a sense of security. Trauma can be categorized as acute versus chronic and early versus late. The focus of this study was examining the presence of play spaces for post-disaster recovery. The hope is that this research aims to find out the extent of the presence of play spaces in providing services for post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction.

Abstract

Pengembangan instrumen penilaian untuk mengukur kompetensi ethnoguidance guru PAUD sangat penting agar bimbingan yang diberikan relevan dengan latar belakang budaya anak. Ethnoguidance adalah model bimbingan yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai budaya dalam praktik pendidikan. Agar efektif, diperlukan instrumen yang valid dan akurat. Penelitian ini merancang instrumen berbasis tiga dimensi utama—pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan—yang dijabarkan dalam 13 indikator dan 60 item awal. Validasi dilakukan melalui penilaian ahli dan uji keterbacaan oleh lima guru PAUD. Hasil akhir berupa 52 item menggunakan skala Likert lima poin. Instrumen ini diuji pada 152 guru menggunakan convenience sampling, lalu dianalisis dengan EFA dan CFA serta berbagai fit indices (CFI, TLI, RMSEA, SRMR). Hasil analisis menunjukkan validitas dan reliabilitas yang tinggi. Instrumen ini terbukti konsisten secara internal, menjadikannya alat ukur yang andal. Kontribusi utama penelitian ini adalah tersedianya instrumen terstandar untuk menilai sejauh mana guru PAUD mampu mengintegrasikan budaya dalam layanan bimbingan. Dengan validitas dan reliabilitas yang kuat, alat ini dapat menjadi tolok ukur dalam mengembangkan pendidikan anak usia dini yang lebih sensitif terhadap keberagaman budaya di Indonesia.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of disaster mitigation education due to teachers' difficulties in conveying abstract disaster-related concepts in early childhood education. However, earthquake disaster mitigation education is crucial for children. This study aims to explore teachers' perspectives on the concept and urgency of disaster mitigation education, analyze teachers' views on the potential of interactive digital books for disaster mitigation, and identify challenges faced during the implementation of interactive digital book media in earthquake disaster mitigation education. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study design. The research subjects were teachers from Elhafa Plus Kindergarten, and data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The research findings indicate that teachers explicitly emphasize the importance of disaster mitigation education in kindergarten to foster disaster preparedness in children. The implementation of interactive digital books yielded satisfactory results, with teachers rating as high as 90% that this interactive digital book is highly suitable for use in earthquake mitigation education in kindergarten. Teachers selected the photo-together feature as the most attention-grabbing feature because children are engaged in role-playing as if an earthquake is occurring. The challenges faced by teachers in implementing interactive digital book media include the need for digital devices with large screens like Smart TVs so that all children can see clearly and the challenge of managing children's tremendous enthusiasm for using technology such as this interactive digital book media.

Abstract

Transisi anak dari PAUD ke SD merupakan periode krusial dalam perkembangan pendidikan anak. Lingkungan belajar yang disediakan selama fase ini memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung adaptasi, perkembangan sosial emosional dan keterampilan akademik. Tujuan dalam penelitian adalah mengeksplorasi peran lingkungan dalam masa transisi PAUD ke SD. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah Systematic Literature Review. Tinjauan literature review mendeksripsikan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang bagaimana lingkungan dapat ditingkatkan untuk mendukung transisi dan perkembangan holistik anak dari fase PAUD ke SD. Analisis data yang digunakan berupa data tematik untuk menyusun, menganalisis dan menyimpulkan pembahasan dengan kata kunci peran lingkungan, transisi paud ke sd, dan teori ekologi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa lingkungan yang dirancang dengan baik dapat membuat pengalaman belajar anak dengan optimal, merangsang minat belajar, dan mengembangkan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Kesimpulannya adalah efektifitas lingkungan dan adaptasi diperlukan untuk menawarkan pemahaman secara mendalam tentang meningkatkan kualitas transisi anak daro PAUD ke SD dari lingkungan anak.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a comprehensive school guidance and counseling program model by integrating the international models of ASCA (American School Counselor Association) and ABKIN (Indonesian Guidance and Counseling Association), tailored to the local context of Indonesia. The research utilised the Borg and Gall research and development design, which includes development, testing, and validation steps. A purposive sample of 141 guidance and counseling teachers from various educational levels across Indonesia participated in the study. The developed model consists of two main frameworks: a general framework and a specific framework. The general framework includes the foundation, delivery system, management, and accountability, while the particular framework covers the rationale, philosophy, vision and mission, and program audit. The model was validated by four expert validators: (1) a professor of Guidance and Counseling from Semarang State University, focusing on junior high school education; (2) a professor from Malang State University, focusing on senior high school education; (3) a professor from Indonesian Education University, focusing on elementary school education; and (4) an expert lecturer in Early Childhood Education (PAUD). The validation results showed an average score of 4.1 out of 5, indicating that the model was considered satisfactory in feasibility and completeness. Suggested improvements emphasised further adaptation to local conditions and strengthening evidence-based accountability. This model is expected to enhance the effectiveness of school counseling services by supporting student development in three main domains: the academic domain (learning to learn), the career/vocational domain (learning to earn), and the personal/social domain (learning to live). With a more adaptive approach to the specific needs at various educational levels, this guidance and counseling model can better support student growth.

Abstract

Pemulihan pascabencana merupakan normalisasi kehidupan masyarakat yang terdampak bencana. Pada anak usia dini, kajian lebih difokuskan pada penanganan mengurangi trauma dengan berbagai pendekatan, sementara artikel ini menelaah pemulihan pascabencana dengan sudut pandang teori ekologi. Artikel ini ditulis dengan menggunakan kajian pustaka pada sumber yang terkait dengan pemulihan pasca bencana, teori ekologi dan anak usia dini. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa  pemulihan pascabencana pada anak usia dini akan dipengaruhi oleh konteks lingkungan disekitar anak seperti keluarga, teman dan masyarakat termasuk situasi bencana yang dihadapi oleh anak sebagai transisi ekologi (ecological transition). Pemulihan pascabencana dalam sudut pandang teori ekologi menekankan pentingnya proses interaksi anak usia dini dengan lingkungan mikrosistem, ekosistem dan makrosistem. Anak usia dini yang menjalani proses pemulihan pascabencana perlu didorong untuk berinteraksi dengan lingkungan sekitarnya dengan memperhatikan empat unsur interaksi yaitu processes, person, context dan time.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of daily habit of reading picture storybooks on the character formation and language development of young children. The research employs a qualitative method using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, analyzing 22 relevant articles. The study findings indicate that the habit of reading one picture storybook daily contributes positively to enriching vocabulary, enhancing communication skills, and shaping children's character through the moral and social values embedded in stories. Factors influencing the effectiveness of this habit include active interaction between parents and teachers in accompanying children during reading, consistent reading frequency, as well as family and school environments that support early literacy. Regular reading activities have been shown to support holistic child development, both in language and character aspects. Therefore, reading picture storybooks daily can be an effective strategy in early childhood education, as it not only enhances language skills but also builds positive and empathetic personalities in children. This research highlights the importance of the role of adults and the environment in fostering literacy habits.
