Classroom action research methods are used with several cycles that include planning, action execution, observation, and reflection. Data was collected through observation of student activity, test results, and observation of teacher activity. Before the action was taken, student activity was moderate with an active level of 50%. After the application of the demonstration method with PAS rope media, there was a significant increase in student activity. In cycle I, the level of activity increased to 61% (medium category), in cycle II it increased to 74% (medium category), and in cycle III it increased to 94% (high category). Student learning outcomes before the action showed that 61% of students were incomplete, and 39% of students were complete (low category). However, after conducting research with demonstration methods and PAS rope media, there was an increase in learning outcomes. In cycle I, incomplete students decreased to 39%, and completed students increased to 61% (medium category). In cycle II, incomplete students decreased to 29%, and completed students increased to 71% (medium category). In cycle III, there was a significant increase with only 7% of students who had not completed, and 93% of students completed (high category).

Abstract

Character education in village communities is essential for strengthening social responsibility, cooperation, independence, and moral awareness. However, evidence on how student engagement programs contribute to community-based character formation remains limited. This study examined a student engagement program implemented by the Student Executive Board of Universitas Sains Al-Qur’an in Patakbanteng Village, Wonosobo, Indonesia. A sequential exploratory mixed-method design was used. Qualitative data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to identify emerging character values during program activities. These findings informed a post-program questionnaire administered to community participants. Data were analyzed thematically and descriptively using percentage-based categorization. The findings showed that the program was associated with positive character outcomes among participating community members. The highest score was found in responsibility at 91.67%, followed by initiative and creativity at 90.67%, caring and independence at 90.33%, mutual cooperation at 90%, hard work and exemplary behavior at 89.67%, and discipline at 88%. All indicators were categorized as “very good.” Qualitative findings indicated that participatory activities, mentoring, group discussions, and collaborative problem-solving encouraged community members to become more active, disciplined, cooperative, and confident in managing local initiatives. The study suggests that student engagement programs can serve as contextual spaces for character education and community empowerment. Nevertheless, because the quantitative data were collected only after the program, the findings should be interpreted as post-program perceptions and observed tendencies rather than causal evidence of program impact. Future studies should use pre-post measurements, validated instruments, and comparison groups.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Investigate the application of visual media in improving the learning outcomes of IPAS for sixth grade students at MI Muhammadiyah Leksono. 2) To determine the difference in learning outcomes in IPAS between sixth grade students at MI Muhammadiyah Leksono who use visual media and those who do not. 3) To determine the improvement in learning outcomes in IPAS among sixth grade students at MI Muhammadiyah Leksono after the application of visual media. This study uses a quantitative research approach, specifically an experimental study. Data collection techniques include pretest and posttest methods, observation, questionnaires, documentation, and interviews. Data sources are obtained from primary and secondary data (references related to vectors, previous studies, articles, journals, and websites). The results of the study show that: 1) the teaching and learning process has often used conventional models, so that during teaching and learning activities, students often feel bored and tired. Pictorial media is not a new medium, but it has rarely been used for sixth grade students at MI Muhammadiyah Leksono. By using this medium, learning will become more interesting and students will be more enthusiastic in carrying out their learning. 2) IPAS learning of continental material using pictorial media for sixth grade students at MI Muhammadiyah Leksono can improve student learning outcomes, as evidenced by the gain test data showing that the N-gain score in the experimental class was 0.87955 with a very good criterion and an interpretation percentage of 87.95, which means it was effective. 3) There is a difference in learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class. This is evidenced by the higher average posttest score of 93.8 for the class using visual media compared to 83.9 for the control class. This is in accordance with the t-test results, which show that tcount > ttable or 2.3 > 2.021 with a significance level of 5%. Therefore, Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

The Qur'an is a guidence which explaines all about the universe to human being. The discovery of science has been able to explain the truth of the Qur'an scientifically. One of which is the principle of Heisenberg's uncertainty in the event of the universe destruction. The purpose of this research is to know: 1) Science's view of the event of the universe destruction (Big Crunch) in Qur’an [Al Infithaar]: 1-3, and How the relation of Heisenberg’s uncertainty principles and the law of thermodynamics II toward  the collapse of the universe (Big Crunch) based on Scientific views and the Quran. This research is a qualitative research using library research method which analyzes the related books directly or indirectly. The results of the analysis stated that: 1) The concentration of mass, which is big enough, relates to some of the laws of physics, those are: Relativity, Heisenberg's uncertainty principles, and the law of Thermodynamic II; 2) The universe will return at its sole point, i.e; the absence of the universe; 3) The destruction of the universe is the destruction of the order of the universe which then the stars fall scatteredly because of the gravitational force that prevents them disappears, the balance of the universe diminishes, decreases and becomes uncertain, and eventually disappears.
