Abstract

Effective human resource management (HRM) is crucial for enhancing organizational performance, especially in the digital transformation era. Many Indonesian institutions still use uniform administrative performance management systems without considering the specific functions and tasks of work units. This research aims to design an HRIS management strategy with work unit-based performance management to improve fairness, transparency, and employee motivation. A qualitative case study was conducted at University XYZ in West Java, focusing on non-teaching staff in one faculty. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 15 informants, document analysis, and direct observation. Thematic analysis identified three main problems: (1) uniform performance assessments that do not accommodate work unit task diversity, (2) low integration of IT and performance assessment systems, and (3) lack of objectivity and transparency in the evaluation process. Based on these findings, the research proposes an HRIS design with a work unit-specific KPI module, real-time performance monitoring dashboard, automated evaluation workflow, and transparent reporting system. The system architecture follows a three-tier model: presentation layer, application layer, and data layer. The implementation of this HRIS is expected to improve performance assessment accuracy by 35%, reduce administrative time by 40%, and increase employee satisfaction with the evaluation system by 50%. This research contributes to HRM literature, especially in integrating information systems with contextual performance management, and offers guidelines for designing fairer and more effective performance assessment systems in higher education.

Abstract

PayLater services are one of the rapidly growing digital financial innovations widely utilised in fintech apps in Indonesia, including Kredivo and Akulaku. User reviews on the Google Play Store reflect a range of experiences, from satisfaction with the ease of use of the service to complaints regarding bills, interest rates, late payment fees, credit limits, and app performance. This study aims to classify the sentiment of user reviews regarding PayLater services on the Kredivo and Akulaku apps using the Multinomial Naïve Bayes algorithm. Data was collected via web scraping from the Google Play Store and automatically labelled based on user ratings, with ratings of 1-2 classified as negative sentiment and ratings of 4-5 as positive sentiment, whilst a rating of 3 was excluded as it was considered ambiguous. Following a preprocessing stage comprising cleaning, case folding, tokenisation, stopword removal, and stemming, as well as feature extraction using TF-IDF, 3,652 reviews were obtained with a training-to-test data split ratio of 80:20. The results indicate that positive sentiment dominates the dataset at 56.49%, whilst negative sentiment accounts for 43.51%. Analysis by application revealed that Kredivo was dominated by positive sentiment (68.20%), whilst Akulaku was dominated by negative sentiment (51.70%).  The Naïve Bayes multinomial model achieved an accuracy of 84.13%, with average precision, recall, and F1-score values of 0.84, demonstrating good and balanced classification performance across both sentiment classes.

Abstract

The competency certificate for electrical technical personnel serves as formal evidence that an individual is qualified to work in the electricity sector and has a validity period of three years, requiring periodic surveillance to ensure regulatory compliance. In practice, the surveillance process is still largely conducted manually by Competency Certification Bodies (LSK), resulting in administrative inefficiencies, delays in certificate renewal, fragmented documentation, and limited traceability of surveillance records. These challenges not only burden certification bodies and certificate holders but also affect regulatory supervision performance. This study aims to design and develop a competency certificate surveillance information system for electrical technical personnel using a disruptive Recognise–Scrutinize–Materialize (RSM) design approach. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis to identify existing problems and system requirements. The RSM method was applied to systematically align stakeholder needs with national regulations and international standards, including ISO, IEEE, and NIST guidelines. The results of this research produce a regulation-based surveillance system design in the form of a structured mock-up that integrates automated reminders, digital document validation, standardized surveillance workflows, and real-time monitoring dashboards. The proposed system is expected to improve efficiency, data accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance in the surveillance and renewal process of competency certificates. This research contributes novel insights into the digitalization of competency certificate surveillance, a topic that has received limited attention in previous studies, particularly within the electricity sector.

Abstract

This study quantifies the causal impact of employment trends on academic performance using a hybrid model of survey data and time-series public interest data from Google Trends in Indonesia. Employing Granger causality and regression analysis, the research investigates eight determinants of GPA and their relationship to labor indicators. A purposive sample of 40 respondents and secondary data from 2011–2019 were analyzed. Granger tests reveal significant one-way causality from employment to GPA indicators, particularly in parental monitoring (F = 7.06; p < 0.05) and learning motivation (F = 9.68; p < 0.05). Regression analysis supports these findings with R² values above 0.50. Results highlight the potential of integrating behavioral data into educational analytics. This research contributes methodological innovation by incorporating public interest data to explain academic outcomes, with implications for predictive modeling in education policy and planning.

Abstract

Enterprise architecture plays an important role in aligning business strategy and information technology. However, comprehensive frameworks such as TOGAF 10 are often perceived as complex due to extensive artifact requirements and high resource demands, which create challenges for organizations with limited resources. Therefore, this study aims to examine the role of lean and agile principles in simplifying enterprise architecture through the Mini-TOGAF approach to improve implementation efficiency and adaptability. This research adopts a design science research approach, focusing on the design and development of the Mini-TOGAF framework as a conceptual artifact. To establish a solid theoretical foundation and systematically define the components of Mini-TOGAF, a systematic literature review was conducted. The findings indicate that lean principles simplify enterprise architecture by eliminating waste through “just enough” documentation and by consolidating and prioritizing artifacts based on core business value. In addition, Agile principles ensure that the resulting architecture remains flexible and outcome-oriented through iterative development, rapid adaptation to change, and continuous stakeholder involvement. This study concludes that Mini-TOGAF represents a pragmatic and effective adaptation of TOGAF 10, enabling more efficient, agile, and strategically aligned enterprise architecture implementation for resource-constrained organizations.

Abstract

In the digital service era, the role of Knowledge Management (KM) becomes increasingly critical in ensuring efficient, responsive, and high-quality customer interactions. However, the effectiveness of KM implementation is not only determined by technological infrastructure, but also by the motivation and active participation of service agents. This study examines the integration of reward systems and Key Performance Indicator (KPI)-based performance appraisal in supporting KM practices within digital customer service environments. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method and a reflective case study of the live chat service unit of a leading Indonesian e-commerce company (Bukalapak), this research reveals how reward mechanisms and KPI structures influence knowledge sharing behaviors, agent performance, and service quality. The findings indicate that hybrid KPI systems combining quantitative metrics (such as response time and CSAT) and qualitative assessments (such as communication quality) alongside tiered reward schemes, significantly enhance agent engagement and knowledge utilization. Additionally, continuous feedback from the Quality Assurance team strengthens organizational learning and service innovation. This study offers theoretical and practical contributions in designing integrated strategies to reinforce KM through performance measurement and motivation systems in digital service sectors.

Abstract

Many contemporary agentic coding assistants expose large language models through API wrappers but still lack a generic, reliable way to read the live web or invoke arbitrary REST endpoints, when relevant documentation or error explanations fall outside their internal context, these agents often stop rather than extend the search space. To address this gap, this paper presents MCP-Web-Curl, a Node.js/TypeScript based Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and command-line interface that provides LLM oriented tools for browser-based web scraping, REST API requests, Google Custom Search, smart routing over natural language commands, and robust file downloading. MCP-Web-Curl is designed around strict character limits, explicit truncation metadata, and resource blocking so that external calls remain token efficient and predictable for agent planning. Using a design science approach, we elicit requirements from real world agentic coder usage, design a modular architecture, implement the server with Puppeteer and the official MCP SDK, and evaluate it qualitatively through documentation-reading, API inspection, and download scenarios, complemented by independent marketplace reviews on MCPlane, Glama, and related MCP catalogs. The resulting architecture positions MCP-Web-Curl as a reusable blueprint for generic web/API access layers in agentic coding environments.
