Abstract

Stunting associated to the increased risk of morbidity and mortality, reduced physical capacity, impaired development and function of children’s motor and mental condition. Efforts have been made by the Government through Integrated Healthcare Center (IHC), however it is less optimal as it didn’t involved all aspects of the community. Cadres and TBAs are important parts of the community that are strategic enough to be involved in this activity, because they are very close to mothers and the community. This program aims to improve the knowledge and practice of 31 cadres and traditional birth attendants (TBA) in early detection and prevention of stunting and implement their knowledge to the community by using lecture, discussion, practice, and film screening methods. There is a significant difference in the knowledge level of cadres and TBA between pre and post training (p value = 0.0005) with knowledge improvement of 30.68%. Furthermore, cadre and TBA did a Follow-Up Plan (FUP) in the form of stunting socialization and education, particularly to the expectants and mothers, with the results of about 124 people exposed to stunting. To monitor FUP, team formed a total of 3 Whatsapp Groups for each village as a forum of communication and discussion between fellow participants to PHC and Research Team. As the result, almost all trainees informed the FUP through Whatsapp group, in the form of socialization and education to other cadres and mothers during IHC, recitations, village activities, sports activities, as well as family or neighbors individually, etc. Through the empowerment of cadres and TBA, education on early detection and prevention of stunting goes according to expectations and is quite effective to the role of cadres and TBA in the community. Keywords: stunting, cadre, traditional birth attendant, empowerment

Abstract

ABSTRACT Half of the women (48%) had hypertension at the age of menopause and the majority of hypertension was uncontrolled. For hipertensive patients, behavioral factors (knowledge, attitude and practice) and environment related to the prevention and control of blood pressure. This study explored further from the research data " The Dynamics of Change in Body Mass Index and Blood Pressure in Postmenopausal Women in Bogor on 2011-2014, focus on knowledge, attitude and practice of preventing and controlling hypertension in Bogor City. Data collection was carried out with indepth interviews on key informants responsible for health program and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) for 4 groups of hypertensive and normotensive informants, respectively. The qualitiative data analyzed using theme analysis, triangulation was carried out for data validation. Analysis of drinking water quality data was done by independent t test. The majority of postmenopausal women were 55 years old and senior high school education. Most of them already have good knowledge and attitudes in the prevention and control of blood pressure, but are still lacking in practice. Aluminum and lead (Pb) contamination in drinking water has exceeded the standard value and has the potential to increase blood pressure. For hypertensive patient, health workers should have a strategy to increase the motivation to practice the prevention and control of blood pressure with various counseling methods that are more innovative and applicative to specific local potential and routine monitoring of drinking water sources to maintain good drinking water quality. Keywords: Hypertension, menopause, behavioral factors, control of blood pressure ABSTRAK Separuh wanita (48%) mengalami hipertensi saat memasuki usia menopause dan mayoritas hipertensi tidak terkontrol. Abstract

ABSTRACT The proportion of sedentary behavior is increasing in all age groups, both in adults and children, from year to year. Various adverse health effects in children and adolescents can occur due to sedentary behavior carried out continuously over a long period of time. Several factors are associated with the practice of sedentary behavior in children and adolescents. This study aims to determine factors associated with sedentary behavior in junior high school students in Cibinong sub-district, Bogor regency, West Java province. The research used cross sectional study design with 312 junior high school students of 7th and 8th grade. Data were collected using questionnaires that had been pre-tested for validity and reliability and were analyzed using chi-square test and multiple logistic regression in SPSS. The results showed 50.6% of respondents performed sedentary behavior more than 6 hours. Age (OR= 1.9), peer support (OR=1.8) and school facilities (OR=0.2) were associated with sedentary behavior. Students who are older, do not have peer support, and attend school with insufficient facilities are more likely to conduct sedentary behavior. For that reason, in order to prevent sedentary behavior among students, it is important to consider the age of the student, the fulfillment of adequate school facilities and the presence of peer support among students. Hasil analisis membuktikan faktor umur (OR=1,9), dukungan teman sebaya (OR=1,8), dan fasilitas sekolah (OR= 0,2) berhubungan dengan perilaku sedentari. Abstract

Muhammadiyah has issued a fatwa that smoking is haram. Nevertheless, there are still muhammadiyah residents who remain to smoke. This thesis discusses the role of fatwa Muhammadiyah about haram smoking law against employee smoking behavior. The purpose of this research was to know the role of Muhammadiyah fatwa about smoking law in attitude, subjective norm, behavior control, and intention toward smoking behavior of employees of Da’wah Muhammadiyah Center. This research was qualitative and choosing a location at the Muhammadiyah Da'wah Center Jakarta. The number of informants was 14 people. Informants were obtained by purposive and data collection techniques through observation, document review, and in-depth interviews. The results showed that for smokers informants, attitudes and subjective norms did not contribute to smoking cessation behavior, while behavior controls play a role in smoking cessation behavior. For non-smoking informants, attitudes, subjective norms, and behavioral controls play a role in non-smoking behaviors. Similarly for ex-smoker informants, attitudes, subjective norms, and behavioral controls play a role in committed non-smoking behaviors. It was suggested to the Muhammadiyah Central Executive to improve the fatwa status of smoking law into Muhammadiyah's decision to be more binding organizationally and for Muhammadiyah Da'wah Center to be a role model of implementation fatwa smoking law in Muhammadiyah.
