Abstract

Trichuris trichiura is an intestinal nematode commonly called whipworm or whipworm, this worm is relatively often found in humans, T. trichiura infection often occurs in the tropics.  This study aims to determine whether there are eggs of T. trichiura worms in the feces of children aged 5-8 years on Main Street Bakaran Batu, Batang Kuis District, Deli Serdang Regency.  The research sample was the feces of children aged 5-8 years Main Street Bakaran Batu, Batang Kuis District, Deli Serdang Regency with a sample of 31 children. Qualitative examination of worm eggs.  The method used is the direct slide method for rapid examination with the solution used in this study is 2% eosin.  The results of this study indicate that with a sample of 31 children aged 5-8 years on Main Street Bakaran Batu, Batang Kuis District, Deli Serdang Regency, there were 5 samples that were positively infected with T. trichiura and as many as 26 children were negatively infected with T. trichiura.  It is hoped that infected children will continue to take medicine regularly, maintain cleanliness and have parental supervision

Abstract

Fish is a kind of easily-damaged raw food which mostly caused by microorganism i.e bacteria, mold and yeast. Fish salting is one of common applied preservation method to avoid bacterial contamination as decay prevention. Another common method is by adding borax in fish preservation process which can inhibit the growth of microorganism but it caused a negative effect for consummer’s health. The objective of this study is to examine the presence of borax in the salted fish that is marketed at the Tanjung Balai Traditional Market, North Sumatra Province. This study used a qualitative test method by testing the sample in the laboratory in accordance with the standards of the Regional Health Laboratory. The results of the qualitative test of borax on 30 samples of salted fish from the market revealed that none of samples altered the color of tumeric paper after being dipped in the sample solution. This finding indicated that all samples of salted fish contain no borax.

Abstract

Denai Lama Village is one of 19 villages in Pantai Labu District, Deli Serdang Regency, which is known as a tourist village with a diversity of biodiversity, including garden ornamental plants that can be used to make handicrafts with economic value. To further develop the potential of yard ornamental plants, through the Medan Area University Community Service Program, the team offered the idea of making oshibana crafts, which is the art of flower arrangement using unused leaves or flowers. Partners in the activity are young women and local PKK mothers. The purpose of the activity is to provide information on the potential of yard ornamental plants to become creative products that have economic value. Implementation of activities with the method of presentation of material and information related to the potential of ornamental plants and the practice of making oshibana directly. It is hoped that this training will increase insight into the utilization of yard ornamental plants into products of economic value. This craft art can be used as decoration for various souvenir products such as bags, frames, key chains and bookmarks.

Abstract

Perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat harus dilaksanakan oleh setiap warga masyarakat. Namun, tidak semua anggota masyarakat terutama anak-anak di Sekolah Nurul Ilmi mempunyai pengetahuan dan kesadaran untuk melakukan hidup bersih dan sehat pasca Covid-19. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran kepada Guru-guru NURUL ILMI tentang pentingnya menjaga hidup bersih dan sehat selama pasca Covid-19. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode ceramah, dan praktek. Peserta dari pengabdian ini berjumlah 40 peserta yang terdiri dari guru-guru, dan petugas kebersihan di NURUL ILMI. Hasil pengabdian menyatakan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran pada guru-guru dan petugas kebersihan mengenai hidup bersih dan sehat pasca Covid-19. Dengan adanya kegitan pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan mneumbuhkan rasa kepedulian terhadap sesame dan perlunya menjaga kesehatan pasca covid-19

Abstract

Brassica oleracea includes vegetables that are consumed as raw vegetables. The habit of eating raw vegetables in the form of fresh vegetables needs to be observed, especially if the method of washing them is not good so that there are still nematode eggs in the cabbage. This study aims to determine the type of intestinal nematode parasites found in raw cabbage sold at the MMTC market and at food stalls in Lau Dendang, Percut Sei Tuan District. This research method uses the Univariate Analysis method where the data that has been obtained is easy to simplify. Then the data can be made in tabular form according to laboratory standards. The results showed that there was contamination by intestinal nematode parasites based on the type of sampling location, namely at the MMTC market and at the food stalls in Lau Dendang. In the MMTC market, there were 5 positive samples (33%) containing hookworm larvae (Ancylostoma and Necator) on cabbage and 10 negative samples (66%) on cabbage. Meanwhile, at the food stall in Lau Dendang, there were 2 positive samples (13%) and 13 negative samples (86%) containing hookworm larvae (Ancylostoma and Necator) in cabbage which is a raw vegetable.

Abstract

Pandan Wangi (Pandanus amaryllifolius) is a plant that grows in the tropics and is known to contain antioxidants. Pandan Wangi can be a garden plant or deliberately planted in the yard. The preparations made in this study were pandan extract peel-off gel masks with varying concentrations of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). PVA is a water-soluble eco-friendly polymer. This study aims to determine the effect of PVA concentration on the physical quality of peel off gel mask preparations of fragrant pandan leaf extract. The research was conducted using laboratory experimental methods. Three gel peel off mask preparation formulas were used in the study, namely FI (5% PVA), FII (10% PVA) and FIII (15% PVA). Parameters for observing the quality of the peel off gel mask preparations included organoleptic tests, namely changes in aroma, color and shape as well as viscosity. The results showed that after a storage period of 28 days, the physical quality of the pandan leaf extract peel-off gel mask was still good. The mask preparation is characterized by a pale yellow color, smells of fragrant pandan extract and has a soft texture. Variation of PVA concentration affected the viscosity of the pandan leaf extract gel mask preparation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Efektivitas pembiayaan murabahah terhadap pendapatan Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM.Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian lapangan (field research), adapun sifat penelitian yang dilakukan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara dan dokumentasi. Metode analisa yang digunakan adalah analisa kualitatif. Manfaat penelitian untuk memperkaya khazanah keilmuan mengenai efektivitas pembiayaan murabahah dalam meningkatkan ekonomi Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM). pembiayaan murabahah terhadap pendapatan pelaku Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM) sangat efektif. Sebagian besar usaha anggota tersebut telah merasakan peningkatan pendapatan usahanya. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pembiayaan murabahah sangat efektif untuk diberikan pada mereka yang membutuhkan modal. Selain itu penambahan modal melalui pembiayaan murabahah yang ditujukan untuk anggota Koperasi Produsen Syarian Mandiri Kedatuk Desa Kembang Kerang Daya memberikan banyak manfaat bukan hanya untuk anggota itu sendiri, tetapi juga untuk para pelanggan yang akhirnya kebutuhan mereka dapat terpenuhi, dan juga para karyawan yang akhirnya di rekrut untuk membantu usaha mereka sehingga angka pengangguran pun berkurang.

Abstract

At this time digital technology makes it easier for everyone to disseminate and get information quickly, and makes it easier for us to get the information we want. Digital technology has been used in all areas of life, one of which is education. Increasing the mastery of digital science and technology is not only carried out in formal education, but also in non-formal education. Skills in using computers which are basic skills to be able to apply digital technology are very necessary, including in the field of storage and administrative data processing. The problem faced by the management of UKKT RW 06 is the lack of skills in using computers for administrative management activities. Increased skills in the use of computer-based software technology applications greatly assist the management of UKKT RW 06 in administrative management activities so that they become more effective and efficient. This has prompted the holding of administrative skills training activities for UKKT RW 06. The purpose of this computer training is to improve the administrative skills of UKKT RW 06 administrators so that they can assist in the process of correspondence and processing of incoming and outgoing funds to be more effective and efficient. The evaluation results from the preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation stages based on the answers of 19 participants, it can be concluded that for each question given, on average, participants choose the agree and strongly agree scales. This means that participants are satisfied with the community service activities in the form of computer training so that they can help improve the skills of participants in using Microsoft Office for administrative management activities.

Abstract

Lemon cui also known as fish lemon or kalamansi lemon is known to contain one of them vitamin C which has the potential as an antioxidant so that it can be applied as active ingredient in peel off mask preparations. The aims of this study weretoobtaining the best PVA concentration in the manufacture of peel-off gel masks from lemon cui juice that meet the stability test requirements. physique. The method of making a sample of lemon cui juice is obtained by grinding it using a blender, adding 100 mL of water and then separating the pulp to obtain the juice. The formulation of peel-off gel mask preparations uses variations in the concentration of PVA (Polyvinyl Alcohol), namely F1 (10%), F2 (13%) and F3 (16%). Physical stability tests included organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, spreadability tests, pH tests, adhesion tests and drying time tests.The results showed that the preparations F1, F2 and F3  showed physical stability  based on the results of organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, spreadability tests, pH tests, adhesion tests and drying time tests before and after accelerated storage conditions. Based on the test results obtained, it can be concluded that the formulation of the Lemon Cui peel-off gel mask preparation from the three concentrations of PVA met the requirements for physical stability. The best PVA concentration is 10% because it has the best dry time.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca lancar pada siswa kelas 1 di SDN Bangsri 2 melalui model PBL (Problem-Based Learning) yang didukung oleh media APE (Alat Permainan Edukatif). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi rendahnya kemampuan membaca lancar pada siswa kelas 1. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. PTK dilakukan melalui siklus perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas 1 di SDN Bangsri 2, dengan sampel yang dipilih secara purposive berdasarkan rendahnya kemampuan membaca lancar. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi tes kemampuan membaca lancar, observasi kelas, wawancara, dan angket. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan membaca lancar siswa setelah intervensi dengan model PBL dan media APE. Pada siklus pertama, sebagian siswa menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan membaca lancar, sedangkan siswa lainnya belum mencapai target. Namun, pada siklus kedua dan ketiga, sebagian besar siswa berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan membaca lancar mereka. Kontribusi penelitian ini terhadap pengembangan strategi pembelajaran dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model PBL berbantuan media APE dapat efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca lancar siswa kelas 1.
