Abstract

Health education plays a critical role in enhancing individuals' knowledge, attitudes, and skills to address health issues such as HIV/AIDS. Given the rising prevalence of HIV/AIDS among adolescents, effective health education is essential for mitigating social stigma and boosting self-efficacy in this group. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of HIV/AIDS health education in improving self-efficacy and reducing stigma among adolescents. A scoping review methodology was employed, following the PRISMA-ScR guidelines, with literature searches conducted across academic databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, and Scopus. The results indicate that while numerous educational interventions have been implemented, few directly address the psychological impacts of stigma and self-efficacy. This study concludes that well-designed educational programs can alter adolescents' perceptions of HIV/AIDS, enhance their self-confidence, and reduce societal stigma. These programs improve adolescents’ understanding of HIV/AIDS prevention while alleviating the anxiety and fear often linked to social stigma. The findings are expected to provide valuable insights for developing more effective HIV/AIDS health education initiatives, focusing on stigma reduction and the enhancement of self-efficacy among adolescents.

Abstract

The Rebozo technique is a non-pharmacological method that is effective in supporting the delivery process. This research aims to explore the benefits, implementation challenges, and role of education in the application of this technique. The study was conducted through a scoping review of 19 selected articles and analyzed thematically based on certain inclusion criteria from various international databases. The results showed that the Rebozo technique improved maternal comfort, reduced the need for medical intervention, and supported a positive childbirth experience. The main obstacles include a lack of training and limited facilities. Structured education and training for health workers, as well as couple education to support mothers during childbirth, are important elements in the optimization of this technique. Research recommendations include practice-based training for health workers and strengthening the role of couples through educational programs to support the implementation of the Rebozo technique in physiological childbirth services.

Abstract

Education serves as a transformative process that enhances human potential for the betterment. The Minister of Education and Culture initiated the Independent Learning-Independent Campus Program (MBKM) in 2020 to equip graduates with the skills to meet global challenges. However, since its inception at universities, the health study program curriculum has struggled to align with this policy. This study investigates the MBKM's implementation within the health study program curriculum. A literature review was conducted, sourcing material from databases such as PubMed, Science Direct, Google Scholar, and Worldcat, focusing on literature published from 2020 to 2024 in both Indonesian and English with full-text availability. The literature review aimed to provide a thorough understanding of the subject, with inclusion and exclusion criteria ensuring the relevance and integrity of the literature. The findings reveal that several health study programs have adopted the Independent Learning-Independent Campus Program, noting improvements in students' hard and soft skills in preparation for employment. Nonetheless, challenges persist in the Independent Learning-Independent Campus Program execution, including inadequate preparedness for learning, lecturer/facilitator involvement, and a need for more detailed information on MBKM Campus Program's implementation.

Peer Assessment has the advantage of providing effective feedback, improving social interaction between individuals, and improving the overall quality of learning. This research was conducted to explore scientific evidence regarding the benefits and challenges of peer assessment implementation, as well as to understand its impact on professional competence and learning quality. This research will help optimize the use of peer assessment in the education curriculum of health workers. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of peer assessment in learning the health education curriculum. This study uses the scoping review research method to analyze various research sources related to the same topic. The research question is based on mnemonic Population, Exposure, and Outcome (PEO). The results of the article review were obtained from the synthesis of three main ones: the benefits of peer assessment, the implementation of peer assessment, and the impact of peer assessment. The articles are from various developed countries (United Kingdom, Singapore, Netherlands, and Belgium) as well as developing countries such as (Indonesia, and Turkey). Peer assessment in the midwifery curriculum has been proven to significantly improve the quality of learning and student competence. In addition, the use of peer assessment facilitates interactive and in-depth learning, so that students are actively involved in the evaluation process in the form of feedback to improve clinical and interpersonal skills.
