Abstract

This study is a development research (Research & Development) which aims to produce an interactive multimedia product based on Articulate Storyline which is valid, practical, and effective and to analyze the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness as well as the relationship between the practicality and effectiveness on the development of Articulate Storyline-Based Interactive Multimedia in the Material Classification and Its Changes Subject for Grade VII students at SMPN 2 Maros. The study employed ADDIE development model, which included five stages of activities, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research was conducted at SMPN 2 Maros with research subjects namely students of grade VII A with 30 people and teachers of science subject with 27 people. The research instruments used were interactive multimedia validation sheets based on Articulate Storyline, teachers’ response questionnaires and students’ response questionnaires, as well as test instruments in the form of multiple choice questions. Data on the level of validity and practicality were collected using questionnaires and data on the level of effectiveness employed learning outcomes test. Based on the analysis results of interactive multimedia validity data based on Articulate Storyline developed, it has an average value of 4.7 which is in valid category. The results of the teacher's response questionnaire obtain a total average score percentage of 88.90 with a very positive response category and the students’ responses obtain a total average score percentage of 83.90 with a very positive response category. The percentage of students passing is 90, which is in effective category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the interactive multimedia based on Articulate Storyline which was developed using the ADDIE model, has met the valid, practical, and effective categories.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: knowledge of waste, attitudes towards waste, waste management, relationship of knowledge and attitudes with waste management, relationship of knowledge with waste management, relationship of attitude with community waste management in the District. Manggala, Makassar City. This research is an ex-post facto research. When examining causal relationships between variables, this type includes correlational research. Determining the sample size using the Isaac and Michael table with an error rate of 5%, the research sample was 578 households. Cluster Random Sampling Technique, 20% of the 578 households were taken, i.e. 115 samples. The results showed: 1) The knowledge of waste in the community was in the low category, 2) Attitudes towards the community's waste were in the neutral category tended to be positive, 3) Waste management in the community was in the fairly good category, 4) Knowledge of waste and attitudes towards waste together -the same has a significant relationship with waste management, 5) Knowledge of waste has a significant relationship with waste management, 6) Attitudes towards waste have a significant relationship with waste management in the community in Manggala District, Makassar City. Based on the results of the analysis and the findings obtained, it is recommended as follows: 1) It is hoped that the Makassar City government will try to increase public knowledge about waste through education and training at the RW level to the District level, 2) It is expected that the community will continue to increase their participation in the implementation of the hygiene program in each environment., 3) It is hoped that other researchers will use the research results as a reference and reference material to support further research, 4) It is hoped that this research can be useful and beneficial for all elements of society who use this research. Keyword: knowledge, attitude and waste management

Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains merupakan salah satu kompetensi yang ditekankan pada kurikulum, termasuk untuk mata pelajaran biologi. Untuk mendukung implementasi keterampilan proses sains dalam pembelajaran biologi, beberapa penulis dan penerbit memasukkan beragam tugas pembelajaran berbasis keterampilan proses sains pada buku teks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis dan jumlah tugas-tugas pembelajaran berbasis keterampilan proses sains yang terdapat pada buku teks biologi kelas X SMA/MA. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh tugas- tugas pembelajaran pada Buku Teks Kelas X SMA/MA terbitan Erlangga tahun 2016. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dengan mendokumentasikan seluruh tugas-tugas pembelajaran kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan instrumen ITAI (Inquiry- based Tasks Analysis Inventory). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beragam keterampilan proses sains yang tersebar dalam dua kelompok tugas, yaitu tugas mandiri dan tugas kegiatan. Tiga jenis keterampilan proses sains yang terbanyak, yaitu keterampilan mengamati (17 tugas), keterampilan mengkomunikasikan (15 tugas), dan keterampilan mengklasifikasikan (8 tugas). Selain itu, terdapat juga jenis keterampilan proses sains yang tidak terwakili pada tugas-tugas pembelajaran pada buku teks biologi, diantaranya keterampilan memprediksi, keterampilan mendefinisikan secara operasional, keterampilan merumuskan hipotesis, dan keterampilan mengajukan pertanyaan. Penulis dan pendidik sebaiknya mengintegrasikan keterampilan-keterampilan ini baik dalam penulisan buku teks ataupun dalam pengembangan bahan ajar.

Abstract

Self regulated learning merupakan suatu kemandirian yang harus ditumbuhkan agar mahasiswa tidak hanya tergantung pada informasi yang berasal dari dosen. Sedangkan, Self efficacy merupakan keyakinan dan harapan mengenai kemampuan individu untuk menghadapi tugasnya. Keduanya dapat ditumbuhkan dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran yang tepat. Salah satu strategi pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan adalah strategi blended learning. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self regulated learning dengan self efficacy mahasiswa pada Jurusan Biologi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Jurusan Biologi angkatan tahun 2019 yang terdiri atas 158 orang. Sampel diambil secara acak sederhana yang terdiri atas 39 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket self regulated learning yang terdiri atas 30 item dan angket self efficacy yang terdiri dari 18 item. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilar r = 0,619 dengan nilai signifikansi p = 0.000 lebih kecil dari α = 0,05. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan antara self regulated learning dengan self efficacy mahasiswa pada perkuliahan Biologi Dasar. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut, self regulated learning dan self efficacy mahasiswa sebaiknya ditumbuhkembangkan dalam pembelajaran. Kata-kata kunci: self regulated learning, self efficacy, blended learningSelf-regulated learning is an independence in learning that must be promoted in order that students do not only rely solely on the information provided by lecturers. While, Self efficacy is a belief and hope regarding the ability of individuals to deal with their duties. Both can can be promoted by implementing appropriate learning strategies. One of the learnings strategies that can be implemented is the blended learning strategy. Accordingly, this research is conducted to assess the relationship between self regulated learning and student self-efficacy in the Department of Biology. The population in this study was all students of the Department of Biology in 2019 consisting of 158 people. The sample was taken by simple random sampling consisting of 39 people. The instrument used was a self regulated learning questionnaire consisting of 30 items, and a self-efficacy questionnaire consisting of 18 items. The research data was analyzed product moment correlation. The results obtained by value r = 0.619 with a significance value of p = 0.000 smaller than α = 0.05. Thus, it was concluded there was a relationship between self regulated learning and student self-efficacy in Basic Biology Class. Abstract

Education is a long term investment of human resources which has strategic values for the continuity of human civilization in the world. The teaching and learning process is a core of the overall learning process. The critical thingking skills is one of the main problems in learning because the domination of teachers who given less access for students to develop independently through their own findings and thingking process. The low learning outcomes also becomes a complex problem to date because the learning process is still center on the teacher; thus, students become passive. Teachers prefer to apply lecture method because it does not need tools and practice materials and only explain the concept continued in the textbook. The students are not being given the method which centered on the students. The study aims at examining (i) the critical thingking skills of students who have extrovert and introvert personalities at SMAN (public senior high schools) in Makassar city, (ii) the Biology learning outcomes of students who have extrovert and introvert personalities at SMAN in Makassar city, (iii) the difference of critical thingking skills between extrovert personality students and introvert personality students at SMAN in Makassar city, and (iv) the difference of biology learning outcomes between extrovert personality students and introvert personality students at SMAN in Makassar city. The study was ex-post facto. Data were collected by employing personality questionnaire, critical thingking skill test, and documentation of learning outcomes scores. The results of the study reveal that (i) the critical thingking skills of extrovert personality students are in well delevop category and the introvert personality students are in well develop category as well, (ii) the Biology learning outcomes of extrovert personality students are in high category and the introvert personality students are in high category as well, (iii) there is a difference of critical thingking skills between extrovert personality students and introvert personality students, and (iv) there is no difference of Biology learning outcomes between extrovert personality students and introvert personality students. Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: status social ekonomi masyarakat, 2) relasi gender masyarakat, 3) kualitas sanitasi lingkungan, 4) pengaruh staus social ekonomi  masyarakat terhadap kualitas sanitasi lingkungan, 5) pengaruh relasi gender masyarakat terhadap kualitas sanitasi lingkungan, 6) status social ekonomi dan relasi gender terhadap kualitas sanitasi lingkungan di Kecamatan Mariso Kota Makassar.   Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian expost-facto yang bersifat korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh Kepala Keluarga (KK) di Kecamatan Mariso Kota Makassar. Penentuan ukuran sampel menggunakan tabel Issac and Michael dengan taraf kesalahan 5% maka diperoleh sampel penelitian 490 KK. Pengambilan sampel sebesar 50% dari 490 KK yaitu 245 sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Status sosial ekonomi masyarakat di Kecamatan Mariso Kota Makassar berada pada kategori sedang, 2) Relasi gender mengelola sampah masyarakat di Kecamatan Manggala Kota Makassar berada pada kategori sedang, 3) Kualitas sanitasi lingkungan masyarakat di Kecamatan Mariso Kota Makassar berada pada kategori cukup baik, 4) Status sosial ekonomi  dan relasi gender mengelola sampah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kualitas sanitasi lingkungan masyarakat di Kecamatan Mariso Kota Makassar, 5) Status sosial ekonomi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kualitas sanitasi lingkungan pada masyarakat di Kecamatan Mariso Kota Makassar, 6) Relasi gender berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kualitas sanitasi lingkungan pada masyarakat di Kecamatan Mariso Kota Makassar. Berdasarkan hasil analisis penelitian maka diajukan saran sebagai berikut: 1) Diharapkan kepada pemerintah Kota Makassar, agar berusaha meningkatkan status sosial ekonomi masyarakat melalui pendidikan dan pelatihan-pelatihan pada tingkat RW sampai tingkat Kecamatan, 2) Diharapkan bagi masyarakat agar senantiasa meningkatkan peran serta dalam  pelaksanaan program kebersihan ditiap lingkungan agar kualitas sanitasi lingkungan meningkat, 3) Diharapkan kepada peneliti lain agar hasil penelitian digunakan sebagai bahan                acuan dan referensi untuk menopang penelitian selanjutnya, 4) Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat berguna dan bermanfaat bagi seluruh elemen masyarakat yang menggunakan penelitian ini. Kata Kunci: Kondisi sosial ekonomi, relasi gender,  kualitas sanitasi lingkungan

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: 1) Pengetahuan air bersih, 2) Sikap terhadap air bersih, 3) Pengelolaan air bersih, 4) Hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap dengan pengelolaan air bersih, 5) Hubungan pengetahuandengan pengelolaan air bersih, 6) Hubungan sikap dengan pengelolaan air bersih masyarakat Kecamatan Camba Kabupaten Maros. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex-pos facto. Bila Mengkaji hubungan kausal antar variabel, maka jenis ini termasuk penelitian korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah masyarakat yang bermukim di Kecamatan Camba Kabupaten Maros. Penentuan sampel dengan menggunakan tabel Issac and   Michael dengan taraf kesalahan 5% maka diperoleh sampel penelitian 143 KK. Hasil penelitian penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Pengetahuan air bersih masyarakat  pada kategori rendah, 2) Sikap terhadap air bersih masyarakat berada pada kategori netral, 3) Pengelolaan air bersih masyarakat berada pada kategori kurang baik, 4) Pengetahuan air bersih masyarakat memiliki hubungan yang positif dan signifikan dengan pengelolaan air bersih, 5) Sikap terhadap air bersih masyarakat memiliki hubungan yang positif dan signifikan dengan pengelolaan air bersih, 6) Pengetahuan dan sikap terhadap air bersih masyarakat memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan terhadap pengelolaan air bersih Kecamatan Camba Kabupaten Maros. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, saran yang diajukan peneliti yaitu sebagai berikut :1) Diharapkan bagi Pemerintah, khusus pemerintah Kabupaten Maros untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan air bersih melalui pendidikan dan pelatihan-pelatihan baik pada tingkat kabupaten maupun pada tingkat kecamatan, 2) Dinas Kesehatan untuk senantiasa melakukan penyuluhan langsung kemasyarakat untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan sanitasi lingkungan dan air bersih, 3) Diharapkan kepa da masyarakat di Kecamatan Camba untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam pengelolaan  sanitasi lingkungan dan air bersih. 4) Peneliti lain yang ingin melakukan peneliti lebih mengembangkan penelitian ini dengan objek penelitian yang luas dan menggunakan jenis penelitian yang berbeda Kata Kunci: Pengetahuan, Sikap, Partisipasi Masyarakat, Air Bersih

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) Knowledge, mass media exposure, attitudes, and environmental pollution control of high school students in Makassar City, 2) Effect of knowledge on environmental pollution attitudes, 3) Effect of mass media exposure to environmental pollution attitudes, 4) Influence knowledge of environmental pollution control, 5) Effect of information media vulnerability on environmental pollution control, 6) Indirect influence of knowledge on control through pollution, 7) Indirect influence of mass media on control through environmental pollution. The population of this study was all tenth grade students (X) majoring in Natural Sciences (IPA) of State High Schools in Makassar City. The sample was chosen by cluster random sampling, which was 177 people as respondents. The results showed: 1) Knowledge of environmental pollution of good qualifications, the comprehension of the mass media is of high tendency, the attitude of environmental pollution is a positive qualification, environmental pollution control qualifications are quite good, 2) Directly there is a significant influence of knowledge on the attitude of environmental pollution, 3) Directly there is a significant influence on the level of exposure of the mass media to the attitude of environmental pollution, 4) Directly there is a significant influence of knowledge on environmental pollution control, 5) Directly there is a significant effect on the level of exposure of the mass media to environmental pollution control, significant effect on environmental pollution control, 7) Indirectly the level of exposure to mass media through attitudes has a significant effect on environmental pollution control. Based on the results of the study, it is suggested to: environmental education teachers as well as others to try to increase knowledge, attitudes so as to form the ability to control environmental pollution for sustainable development, 2) Education experts should pay attention to the factors that are in direct contact with teacher needs in the field (bottom -up) in creating new approaches and methods in shaping attitudes and controlling environmental pollution.

Abstract

Abstract. The attitude of students and teachers towards the Blended Learning Model in Biology class XI at SMA Negeri Makassar is a descriptive quantitative research. The purpose of this study was to determine the attitudes of students and teachers towards the Blended Learning Model in class XI Biology at SMA Negeri Makassar. The research was conducted from April to May 2022 at SMA Negeri 21 Makassar, SMA Negeri 18 Makassar, SMA Negeri 6 Makassar, SMA Negeri 17 Makassar, and SMA Negeri 10 Makassar. The research instrument used a questionnaire on the attitudes of students and teachers. The data analysis process was carried out using SPSS ver.23. The results of the study showed that students' attitudes towards Blended Learning Model in Biology class XI at SMA Negeri Makassar were in the neutral category with a percentage of 38% and teachers' attitudes towards Blended Learning Model in Biology class XI at SMA Negeri Makassar were at negative category with a percentage of 50%.Keywords: students and teachers attitude, blended learning model

Abstract

Abstract. Correlation of Knowledge and Attitudes towards Waste Management in the Community in Baranti Subdistrict in Sidenreng Rappang District. The type of this study is expost-facto, which aims to discover the correlation between knowledge and attitudes towards waste management in the community in Baranti subdistrict in Sidenreng Rappang district. The independent variables are knowledge and attitudes, whereas the dependent variables are the waste management. The research population in this study were all households in the Baranti subdistrict in Sidenreng Rappang district, whereas the samples were 190 people taken by using the Issac and Michael table with the level of error 5%. Data collection technique employed questionnaire and interviews. Data were analyzed by employing descriptive statistical technique and inferential statistical technique. The results of the study based on inferential statistics analysis are as follows, it is that there is a positive and significant correlation between knowledge and waste management at a strong correlation level with the sig. there is a positive and significant correlation between attitudes and waste management at a very strong correlation level with the sig. There is a positive and significant correlation between knowledge and attitudes towards community waste management at a very strong correlation level with the sig. The biggest effective contribution to the dependent variable (Waste Management) is given by attitude by 55.81%, and knowledge by 16.23%. The total effective contribution is 72.04%, which means knowledge and attitude collectively provides an effective contribution by 72.04% to the community waste management in Baranti subdistrict in Sidenreng Rappang district, while 27.96% is influenced by unexamined factors.Keywords: knowledge, attitudes, waste management
