Abstract

This study aims to describe parenting patterns in educating the emotional development of early childhood at PAUD Al-Amin Lubuk Alung and identify the role of the family and school environment in shaping children's social-emotional abilities. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of teachers, parents, and students at PAUD Al-Amin. The results show that the emotional development of early childhood is strongly influenced by the parenting patterns applied by parents. Children who receive democratic parenting patterns show better abilities in recognizing and managing emotions, empathizing, and interacting socially positively. Meanwhile, children who are raised with an authoritarian pattern tend to have difficulties in controlling emotions and behave aggressively. The family and school environment play an important role in providing positive examples and habits to support children's social-emotional development. This study concludes that the synergy between appropriate parenting patterns, open communication within the family, and a supportive school environment is a key factor in shaping the emotional character of early childhood that is healthy and balanced.

Abstract

Program Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) merupakan program khusus yang memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk memilih minatnya dan mempersiapkan diri terjun ke dunia kerja. Mahasiswa diberikan keleluasaan untuk memilih kegiatan pembelajaran seperti magang/praktik kerja, proyek pengabdian masyarakat, mengajar di satuan pendidikan, pertukaran mahasiswa, penelitian, kewirausahaan, pembuatan proyek independen, dan program kemanusiaan. Dalam pelaksanaan program ini, mahasiswa memilih program magang/praktik kerja yang dilaksanakan pada mitra/perusahaan/instansi terkait. Kurikulum MBKM memberikan ruang kepada mahasiswa untuk menjalani satu semester penuh bersama dunia usaha, dunia industri, maupun instansi pemerintahan, dengan menyediakan proyek nyata yang tidak didapatkan secara penuh di bangku kuliah. Seperti kemampuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengguna, mendesain sistem aplikasi, membangun aplikasi, hingga melakukan pengujian dan implementasi solusi berbasis teknologi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh emotional intelligence dan lingkungan kerja terhadap job satisfaction pegawai Bank Nagari Cabang Pulau Punjung. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 47 pegawai dengan teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner berskala Likert dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa emotional intelligence dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap job satisfaction, baik secara simultan maupun parsial. Pegawai yang mampu mengelola emosi serta bekerja dalam lingkungan yang nyaman dan suportif cenderung memiliki kepuasan kerja lebih tinggi. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kepuasan kerja dipengaruhi oleh faktor individu dan lingkungan. Manajemen disarankan memperkuat motivasi pegawai melalui penghargaan, pelatihan, dan penciptaan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif.

Abstract

Quran memorization learning plays an important role in maintaining the purity and understanding of the Quran among students. However, the effectiveness of memorization activities in improving the quality of memorization has not been widely examined empirically, especially at the elementary school level. This study aims to examine the effect of Quran memorization activities on improving students’ memorization quality. A quantitative method with a descriptive approach was employed. Data were collected from 60 students in grades IV, V, and VI at an elementary school in during the 2023/2024 academic year using a total sampling technique. The results show that: i) the average Quran memorization score (variable X) was categorized as good, with a mean value of 70.55; ii) the average memorization quality (variable Y) was also in the good category, with a mean value of 48.2; and iii) Quran memorization had an effect on improving students’ memorization quality, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.029 or a contribution of 2.9%, while the remaining 97.1% was influenced by other factors. These findings indicate that the effect of memorization activities on students’ memorization quality is relatively small but still provides a positive contribution. The results of this study may serve as a basis for future research to explore other factors that influence the quality of students’ Quran memorization.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the views of fourth-semester students on the film 172 Days by Nadzira Shafa using a semiotic approach. This film tells the spiritual journey of Nadzira Shafa, who transforms from a free-spirited life to making a hijrah after meeting Ameer Azzikra. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The research results show that the community views this film as a representation of the hijrah process, which is full of challenges yet meaningful, with an emphasis on the values of sincerity, patience, and responsibility in living a religious life. Additionally, this film is also viewed as an effective medium for preaching, conveying Islamic messages in a contemporary manner. This research is expected to contribute to understanding the role of film media as a communication tool in society and to enrich semiotic studies in the context of culture and religion.

Abstract

This study examines expressive speech acts in Almira Bastari's film "Home Sweet Loan" as a manifestation of the main character's psychological attitudes toward the situations they experience. The main focus of this study is to identify and analyze various types of expressive utterances that appear in dialogues between characters, such as expressions of gratitude, anger, disappointment, happiness, and regret. This study uses pragmatics with Searle's theory of expressive speech acts as its theoretical foundation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, using direct dialogue recording from the film as the primary data. The analysis shows that expressive utterances in the film not only reflect the characters' emotions but also represent complex social relations and interpersonal dynamics. Thus, this film is an effective medium for observing the realization of pragmatics in everyday communication through expressive language.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk konflik batin yang dialami tokoh utama dalam kumpulan cerpen Perempuan Berlipstik Kapur karya Esti Nuryanti Kasam, melalui pendekatan psikologi sastra. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data berupa teks cerpen yang terdapat dalam kumpulan cerpen tersebut untuk dianalisis . Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik baca, catat, dan analisis isi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teori konflik batin dari Alex Sobur yang mencakup berbagai bentuk konflik batin seperti kecewa, sedih, khawatir, takut, kesal, tertekan, berharap, perasaan bersalah, perasaan cemburu, marah dan cemas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tokoh utama mengalami beberapa bentuk konflik batin yang dipengaruhi oleh tekanan sosial, budaya patriaki dan kemiskinan. Analisis memberikan pemahaman lebih dalam mengenai dinamika psikologi tokoh fiksi, sekaligus memperkaya kajian psikologi sastra.

Abstract

Morality is a problem that will never stop being studied and explored. In the world of education, it is very necessary to have good morals and character. If from an early age children are taught to have good character and manners and be independent, then eventually they will be more accustomed to it as adults. By conducting a study at PAUD Sungai Sapih Peduli, God willing, a strong generation with good and noble character will be created. This type of research uses natural qualitative research, namely using the habit method which takes place at PAUD Sungai Sapih Peduli. The data sources used in this study are primary and secondary data sources. The data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and verification. And to test the validity of the data using triangulation of sources and techniques. Based on the results of research and data analysis, it can be concluded that: 1) The description of character education in strengthening character education in Sungai Sapih Peduli Early Childhood Education is implemented through exemplary methods and habituation methods that are carried out continuously and sustainably by applying character education values ​​including: behavior, patience, politeness, discipline, independence, and having an attitude of tolerance/social care. 2) The factors that influence character education in strengthening character education are divided into two, namely supporting factors and inhibiting factors. Supporting factors are, the school environment through good behavior and examples from the principal, and teachers, teacher readiness in conducting learning in accordance with SOPs and the use of methods used.

Abstract

Pada perkembangan teknologi saat ini, guru dituntut bisa mengintegrasikan media pembelajaran interaktif yang kontekstual dan menarik bagi peserta didik. Namun, Pada kenyataanya masih ada sebagian  guru mengalami kesulitan dalam merancang bahan ajar digital yang interaktif berakar pada unsur kearifan lokal. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengembangkan e-modul interaktif berbasis Canva yang bermuatan kearifan lokal budaya melayu Bengkalis di SMPS IT Ibu Harapan Bengkalis. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui tahap sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan selama dua hari dengan model workshop yang berfokus pada praktik langsung pembuatan e-modul digital menggunakan Canva. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam mengoperasikan aplikasi Canva, merancang e-modul yang menarik dan kontekstual, serta mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai budaya lokal Melayu Bengkalis ke dalam konten pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, lebih dari 80% peserta menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi dan kreativitas dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran digital dengan kategori ‘’Baik’’. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi langkah awal dalam menciptakan inovasi pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal yang berkelanjutan di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling services in Islamic educational institutions are administratively carried out directly by Guidance and Counseling teachers. However, many Islamic educational institutions still implement guidance and counseling management that is not in accordance with the concept of guidance and counseling management. The purpose of this study is to determine how the implementation of guidance and counseling is applied in Islamic educational institutions. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study design approach. Data sources were taken from twenty-three people consisting of one Guidance and Counseling teacher, the principal, the vice principal for student affairs, and twenty students who received guidance and counseling through in-depth interviews selected using purposive sampling techniques. All data were analyzed using the interactive technique of Miles and Huberman. The results of the study indicate that guidance and counseling management is implemented in Islamic educational institutions through the application of management functions, namely; program planning, implementation of guidance and counseling programs in the form of providing services to students, evaluation of guidance and counseling programs, and feedback. The results of this study can be used as initial data for subsequent researchers in examining this problem in different contexts and issues.
