Abstract

Background: Early detection of neonatal diseases can be done at home to prevent disease, reduce the burden of treatment, and reduce the risk of death. Neonates are susceptible to infection, so an application is needed to easily and quickly recognize the early symptoms of disease. This research does not support the local language, making it difficult for some mothers who are accustomed to using the local language.Method: The Research and Development (R&D) study design resulted in the development of an Android-based prototype application titled “Early Detection of Neonatal Diseases” (EDD-N). The steps in creating the application included: Focus Group Discussion (FGD), application concept design, development of the EDD-N application in collaboration with PT Bumantara Transformasi Digital, and feasibility testing. The research was conducted in Langsa City, Aceh Province, from June 3 to August 30, 2023. The number of respondents for each FGD and feasibility testing was 15 and 40 respondents, respectively. Feasibility testing used a Likert scale questionnaire with analysis in two stages.Results: The “Early Detection of Neonatal Diseases” (EDD-N) Android-based application consists of a main page titled “My Baby.” The application includes the health history of the mother and child, disease education comprising definitions, signs, and symptoms, and disease management. The content is presented in the form of images, videos, and narratives. Early detection is conducted via a questionnaire. The app's users include the general public, community health workers, healthcare professionals, and IT personnel. Users are rewarded with certificates, and the app's closing screen displays a logout menu. The usability test results for the EDD-N Android app from stage 1 to stage 2 yielded a value of 1.9. The p-value was 0,0001. The change in the EDD-N app process from stage 1 to stage 2 was 1.7. P-value 0,0001 (<0,05).Conclusion: The EDD-N app can be used for early detection of neonatal diseases.

Abstract

Early treatment of burns using natural ingredients such as tembelekan leaves quickly and appropriately can accelerate the healing process and prevent more serious injuries. However, based on a common phenomenon in the community, there are still many inappropriate behaviors in providing first aid for burns. This community service activity aims to increase public knowledge about the use of tembelekan leaves as first aid for burns. The methods used in this activity include socialization through counseling, which is then followed by a discussion session, questions and answers, and the distribution of questionnaires to measure the level of community satisfaction with this community service activity. The community service activity was carried out on July 26, 2025, with the main target community in the South Lolu Village area, especially RT 01. The results of the evaluation of community satisfaction with an average satisfaction level of 89.86%. Aspects assessed included the method of delivering materials used in the Community Partnership Program (PKM), the suitability of the program to community needs, improving community thinking skills, the usefulness of the program that can be applied in daily life, and the community's willingness to participate in similar activities again in the future. It can be concluded that the Community Partnership Program (PKM) activity is very beneficial for the people of South Lolu Village, especially in RT 01, because it is able to increase knowledge, skills, and active participation of the community in the initial treatment of burns by utilizing natural materials such as tembelekan leaves.

Abstract

Laporan Tugas Akhir ini membahas tentang asuhan kebidanan persalinan pada Ny. R, G1P0A0, dengan riwayat keluarga Diabetes Melitus (DM), yang dilakukan di Desa Karang Anyar, Kecamatan Langsa Baro, Kota Langsa. Kehamilan dengan riwayat keluarga DM memiliki risiko komplikasi seperti makrosomia, preeklampsia, dan kelahiran prematur, sehingga memerlukan pemantauan intensif. Tujuan dari asuhan ini adalah memberikan pelayanan persalinan normal yang sesuai dengan prinsip sayang ibu, menggunakan pendekatan manajemen kebidanan dan dokumentasi SOAP. Asuhan dilakukan mulai dari kala I hingga kala IV, serta dilengkapi dengan pemeriksaan gula darah sewaktu (GDS) dan penerapan teknik nonfarmakologis seperti kompres hangat dan relaksasi pernapasan dalam. Hasil asuhan menunjukkan proses persalinan berjalan normal tanpa komplikasi. Dokumentasi lengkap dalam partograf dan SOAP menunjukkan bahwa asuhan yang diberikan efektif dalam mendeteksi risiko dan menjaga kesehatan ibu dan bayi. Laporan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam pelayanan kebidanan berbasis evidence-based practice

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the application of a differentiated approach in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning in elementary schools. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a multisite study design. The data of this research consist of descriptive information related to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of differentiated instruction in the IPAS subject. The data were obtained from teachers and students who were directly involved in the IPAS learning activities. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, depth interviews, and documentation analysis. The data were analyzed using the interactive analysis model by Miles & Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The subjects of the study were teachers and students from three elementary schools in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, namely SD Negeri Rappokaleleng, SD Inpres Tamanyeleng, and SD Negeri Tanabangka. The results show that teachers have applied a differentiated approach to three main aspects of learning: content, process, and product. In the planning stage, teachers conducted diagnostic assessments to identify students' learning styles and interests as the basis for developing flexible teaching modules. In implementation, teachers present materials in various forms and provide a choice of activities and products according to students' learning preferences. The assessment is carried out in a formative and summative manner with a varied approach and adjusted to the individual needs of the student. A differentiated approach has been proven to increase students' active participation, motivation, and independence in learning. However, its implementation still faces a number of obstacles, such as limited time, facilities, and students' readiness for independent learning. Therefore, this study recommends the importance of systemic support and teacher capacity building so that the implementation of differentiated approaches can take place in a sustainable and equitable manner in primary schools.

Abstract

Problem-Based Learning is a learning model that focuses primarily on problems in the learning process. It encourages students to collaborate in groups to solve problems through various activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on students' numeracy literacy skills in acid-base material. This study used a quantitative, true-experimental design. The research population consisted of 47 students. The research sample was obtained using purposive sampling, divided into an experimental class of 15 students from class XI MIA 2 and a control class of 16 students from class XI MIA 1. The research instruments included a literacy test comprising 20 multiple-choice questions and a numeracy test comprising five essay questions. Experts validated all instruments provided. Data analysis used the Mann-Whitney test. The results of the data analysis showed that the Mann-Whitney test p-value (0.000) was lower than the predetermined significance level of 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the PBL learning model affects students' numeracy literacy skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of the lottery card method on student learning outcomes in acid-base solution material during video-assisted discovery learning. This study used a pre-test and post-test control group design. The study population consisted of all 247 ninth-grade students at SMA Negeri 5 Palu, across eight classes.  Two classes were selected as samples, namely class XI Merdeka 5 (control) and class XI Merdeka 6 (experimental), each with the same number of 34 students, using simple random sampling. Data were collected using pre-tests and post-tests. The control class used only the discovery learning model, while the experimental class used the lottery card method in video-assisted discovery learning. From the analysis results, the N-ngai score for the control class was 0.49, and for the experimental class was 0.67, both of which were classified as moderate. Although both were moderate, the N-ngai score for the experimental class was higher than that for the control class. The t-test results showed a significance value of 0.001, which is less than 0.05, so it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it can be said that the lottery card method in discovery learning assisted by video media has an effect on student learning outcomes in acid-base solution material.

Abstract

Red gedi leaves (Abelmoschus manihot (L.) Medik) are traditionally used for their antidiabetic, antioxidant, and hepatoprotective properties. This study aimed to characterize the specific and non-specific quality parameters of red gedi leaf ethanol extract based on Herbal Pharmacopoeia standards. Extraction was performed by maceration using 96% ethanol, yielding 6.72%. Phytochemical screening confirmed the presence of flavonoids, saponins, tannins, quinones, and steroids, with a high total flavonoid content of 56.97 ± 3.75 mg/g. Non-specific parameters, including water content, drying loss, ash values, microbial contamination, and heavy metal levels (Pb and Cd), complied with the required standards. Organoleptic evaluation showed a viscous extract with brownish color, slightly astringent taste, and characteristic odor. These results indicate that red gedi leaf ethanol extract meets Herbal Pharmacopoeia quality requirements and has potential for development as a standardized antioxidant herbal product.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Preeklampsia dan eklampsia menempati urutan kedua didunia sebagai penyumbang angka mordibitas dan mortalitas bagi ibu hamil yang memengaruhi 3% sampai 8% wanita hamil setelah pendarahan serta dapat meningkatkan risiko kematian janin sebesar empat kali dibandingkan dengan kehamilan normal. Jika hipertensi tidak dapat di antisipasi maka akan mengarah ke preeklamsia yang dapat meningkatkan resiko komplikasi selama kehamilan seperti kerusakan sistem atau organ lainnya yang berefek jangka panjang. Oleh karena itu, untuk mencegah hal tersebut diperlukan pencegahan dini terutama pada kelompok yang berisiko tinggi dengan kegiatan pencegahan penyakit (promotif–preventif) seperti promosi kesehatan, penyuluhan, pendidikan masyarakat, maupun upaya-upaya pencegahan lainnya terbukti efektif dapat membentuk mindset masyarakat yang lebih peduli akan kesehatan diri dan keluarganya, yang pada akhirnya akan mewujudkan kesehatan masyarakat. Selain itu, program pendampingan ibu hamil dan kader ini telah terbukti bermanfaat dalam memotivasi ibu hamil agar rajin memeriksakan kesehatannya secara rutin selama masa kehamilan hingga nifas. Meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang preeklamsi dan cara membantu mengurangi gejalanya. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah intervensi edukasi kesehatan dan deteksi dini. Adanya perbedaan nilai pengetahuan antara sebelum dan sesudah pada ibu hamil diberikan edukasi dengan kategori baik yaitu 60% menjadi 86,7%. Pemberian edukasi ibu hamil tentang preeklamsi dan cara membantu mengurangi gejalanya dapat meningkatkan pemahaman ibu hamil. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan manfaat nyata bagi peningkatan kesehatan ibu hamil, sekaligus mendukung upaya pencegahan morbiditas dan mortalitas maternal di masyarakat. Kata Kunci: Preeklamsi, Deteksi Dini, Edukasi Kesehatan.  ABSTRACT Preeclampsia and eclampsia rank second in the world as contributors to morbidity and mortality rates for pregnant women, affecting 3% to 8% of pregnant women after bleeding and can increase the risk of fetal death by four times compared to normal pregnancies. If hypertension cannot be anticipated, it will lead to preeclampsia which can increase the risk of complications during pregnancy such as damage to other systems or organs that have long-term effects. Therefore, to prevent this, early prevention is needed, especially in high-risk groups with disease prevention activities (promotive-preventive) such as health promotion, counseling, community education, and other prevention efforts that have proven effective in forming a mindset of the community that is more concerned about the health of themselves and their families, which will ultimately realize public health. In addition, this program of mentoring pregnant women and cadres has been proven to be useful in motivating pregnant women to diligently check their health regularly during pregnancy until postpartum. Increase knowledge of pregnant women about preeclampsia and how to help reduce its symptoms. The community service method used in this activity was health education and early detection interventions. There was a difference in knowledge scores between pregnant women before and after receiving education, with a positive score, increasing from 60% to 86.7%. Providing education about preeclampsia and ways to help reduce its symptoms can improve their understanding. This community service activity provides tangible benefits for improving the health of pregnant women while supporting efforts to prevent maternal morbidity and mortality in the community. Keywords: Preeclampsia, Early Detection, Health Education.

Abstract

Seminar pengabdian kepada masyarakat mengenai Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan keamanan siber (cybersecurity) dilaksanakan di SMK Telkom Makassar dengan melibatkan 96 siswa dan 5 guru. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman peserta mengenai teknologi AI dan pentingnya keamanan data di dunia digital. Sebelum dan setelah seminar, peserta mengikuti pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan mereka. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta, dengan nilai rata-rata pre-test sebesar 79,83 dan post-test sebesar 95,90, yang menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 20,13%. Kegiatan ini berhasil memberikan pemahaman lebih dalam tentang aplikasi AI dan langkah-langkah perlindungan data pribadi dari ancaman digital. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat menjadi landasan bagi pengembangan literasi digital di kalangan siswa dan guru di SMK Telkom Makassar.

Abstract

Berdasarkan permasalahan terkait penguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Wahyu yang belum optimal, di mana masih terdapat anak yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengenal, menyebutkan dan memahami makna kata. Hal tersebut dapat disebabkan karena penggunaan metode dan media yang kurang efektif. Maka dibutuhkan solusi alternatif yaitu media wordwall. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian nonequivalent control group design untuk mengkaji pengaruh media wordwall terhadap penguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Wahyu. Sebanyak 20 anak dipilih sebagai sampel peneltian melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes, serta dokumentasi. Selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan diuji menggunakan wilcoxon signed rank. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,005 (<0,05). Hal tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa wordwall memberikan pengaruh terhadap penguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Wahyu.
