This research finds that there is a debate some experts think that the total number of workers in the world will decrease, while others believe the number will remain the same. However, there is agreement that this will affect the education system, where the type of learning must change according to the needs of skills and knowledge that exist in the future so that people in the future can work according to the needs of the industry at that time.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of teacher professional competence on student learning achievement at MAN 3 Tangerang and to determine to what extent teacher professional competence influences student learning achievement. In this study, the researchers applied a quantitative approach with a survey method and employed simple linear regression in answering the hypothesis. Data were collected using a questionnaire, in which samples were selected using a simple random sampling technique, resulting in 170 students. The questionnaire applied a Likert scale with four alternative answers. Based on the results of data processing and calculation using SPSS v. 22, statistical testing indicated that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, meaning that teacher professional competence significantly influences student learning achievement. It was derived from the results of the t-test presenting a t-count of 6.682 which is > t-table (i.e., 1.974) with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05 or 5%). Furthermore, the results in ANOVA also supported the acceptance of Ha, in which the obtained value of significance was 0.000 (< 0.05). Therefore, this study revealed that teacher professional competence influences student learning achievement. Moreover, the results of the coefficient of determination showed that the variable of teacher professional competence can explain the variable of student learning achievement by 20%. Meanwhile, the remaining 80% is explained by other variables not examined in this study.

This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. Quantitative can be interpreted as a research method based on the philosophy of positivism, used to examine certain populations or samples, collecting data using research instruments, analyzing data is quantitative / statistical, with the aim of testing established hypotheses. Descriptive method is research conducted to find out about the independent variable, either one or more variables, without making comparisons and connecting one to another. In this study the researchers aimed to obtain information about emotional intelligence, intellectual intelligence, and spiritual intelligence on students' ethical behavior. There is a positive influence of emotional intelligence on students' ethical behavior during the learning process. This is evidenced by the results of the T test on the variable emotional intelligence (X1) and it is found that t-count > t-table (3.423> 2.048) with a significance value <0.05 (0.002 <0.05). There is a positive influence of intellectual intelligence on students' ethical behavior during the learning process. This is evidenced by the results of the T-test on the intellectual intelligence variable (X2) obtained that tcount > t-table (3.023>2.048) with a significance value <0.05 (0.005<0.05). There is a negative influence of spiritual intelligence on students' ethical behavior during the learning process.

Abstract

Background: Interfaith education figures inevitably have significant role in managing religious tolerance because education is carried out both in and outside schools. Interfaith figures in society not only actualize and internalize religious values but also implement strategies for balancing the potential of nature so that the humanity of religious communities is maintained. Aim: This paper is the result of research examining interfaith education figures’ strategies in managing tolerance in Banuroja Village, Randangan District, Pohuwato Regency. Method: The researchers applied qualitative approach with phenomenological design. The data collection techniques of this research were observation, interview, documentation, and Focus Group Discussion. Research data was tested by thorough observation and triangulation, both source and method triangulation. Findings: The results of this research indicate three strategies of interfaith education figures in managing tolerance in Banuroja Village, Pohuwato Regency, they are: first, the assimilation strategy, carrying out a blend of cultures or assimilation of life, for example when maintaining security at the neighborhood-watch post (poskamling) by wearing traditional uniforms. Second, the mutual need strategy is embedding a culture of interethnic and religious mutual cooperation as the basic foundation for cultural resilience and the creation of distributive justice. Third, the educative communication strategy is the involvement of educators regardless of their religion in various activities and educative communication. In a pluralist and heterogeneous society like Banuroja, interfaith education figures who are full of knowledge and educational methods have a very strategic, urgent, and beneficial position for the community at large.
Insersi Nilai Karakter Melalui Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab: Character Value Insertion through Arabic Language Learning Najamuddin Petta Solong

Abstract

Background: Character values have not been specifically used as a self-development concept in Arabic language learning. Divinity, humanity, and nature-based character values should be inserted in all content and language skills. Purpose: The research is to interpret and provide an in-depth understanding of the concepts, methods, problems, and solutions in inserting character values through Arabic language learning from the perspective of Islamic education. Method: This research is literature research with a critical descriptive-analytical approach. Data sources were obtained from written documents in the form of reference books and articles. Data in the form of concepts is then analyzed descriptively with a content analysis approach. This approach is done by reconstructing concepts, describing ways, and providing solutions related to research problems. Results and Discussion: The results showed that the insertion of character values through Arabic language learning in the perspective of Islamic education has a dynamic concept and has a relationship between one material and another. The way of insertion can be done by inserting character education material into various learning components as a hidden curriculum. Combining Arabic language material with character values can essentially be a solution for teachers because the embryo of Islamic studies is essentially sourced from the Arabic-Islamic treasures that are imprinted on the concept of uswatun hasanah and tammimul akhlak. Conclusions and Implications: Contains one to two important sentences. This section provides a conclusion about the results of the research and what these results mean for us today, as well as the implications of the suggested research results for future research on the topic. The implication of this research is that teachers should always provide examples of behavior so that the insertion of character values in learning is more meaningful. In the aspect of learners, the content of Arabic language materials can be insinuated through their proficiency in speaking/good speech, listening/istima' good material, writing/kitabah good things and reading/qira'ah good content. The insertion of these four language skills can certainly shape the personality of learners who are more qualified, and weighty so that they become murabbi/murabbiyah who are oriented towards the pursuit of knowledge based not only on the level of sincerity but on the degree of pleasure of Allah and the Teacher.

Abstract

This study analyses truth claims and multicultural values made by school teachers. This research is necessary because schools have teachers and students with different cultural, customs and religious backgrounds. These differences sometimes become obstacles to creating harmony in schools. Misunderstandings, especially in understanding religion due to students' ignorance, have triggered disputes in association at school. This type of research is field research using exploratory qualitative methods. At the same time, the research approach uses sociological-anthropological and structural-functional. This study uses primary data from interview results, while books, journal articles, and relevant literature are used as secondary data. Research data were collected using non-participant observation techniques, structured interviews, and documentation. The research objects were school principals, teachers of Islam, Christianity and Hinduism, and Muslim, Christian and Hindu students. The collected data were analyzed inductively. This study found that teachers in schools are still at the level of understanding of pluralism in religion and tend to be tolerant but have yet to implement multicultural values profoundly and equitably in schools. In addition, learning the doctrine of religious truth is in synergy with multicultural understanding in interfaith in the school environment. However, it is still applying an attitude of tolerance between religious communities. This research contributes to cultivating students' pluralist attitudes by mapping the pluralist attitudes of pro-anticipation students before conflicts occur in multicultural societies in religious education learning.
