Abstract

Purpose – This research aims to examine various aspects related to the implementation of the In-Service Teacher Professional Program (PPG) for Raudhatul Athfal teachers at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, including the program's administrative procedures, governance structure, program implementation, and the outcomes resulting from the program's implementation. Design/methods/approach – Conducted at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta in 2022, this study utilized a case study design. A mixed approach combining qualitative and quantitative methods was employed to analyze the management and implementation of the PPG for Raudhatul Athfal teachers. Research participants and respondents included program managers, partner lecturers, and program participants. Findings – The study reveals that the administration and governance of the In-Service PPG program were implemented efficiently and effectively, facilitated by information technology and cooperation among various government entities and educational institutions. The implementation of this program has shown improvements in participants' competencies, such as understanding early childhood education and developing teaching skills. The outputs from this program include competency development in designing and implementing appropriate learning for young children, involving parents, and integrating religious values. Research implications– The findings of this study underscore the importance of enhancing teachers' competencies and professionalism to improve education quality in Indonesia. However, certification programs like the In-Service PPG represent only one aspect of enhancing teacher professionalism; other necessary steps include post-certification quality assurance and continuous development for teachers. Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic period has not yet passed. Learning activities are carried out online or through distance learning. Distance learning requires teachers to assign tasks to children to keep learning from home every day. This research aims to see how assignment approaches affect the development of religious and moral values in early childhood in IT ADAR PAUD institutions during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study examines the significance test between the independent variables of the assignment system and the dependent variable of early childhood religious and moral values using quantitative correlation research of product-moment through the t-test. The significance value of 0.753 is greater than 0.05, as shown by the t-test. As a result, it can be inferred that the assignment process has an effect on facets of religious and moral values formation in early childhood during the Covid-19 pandemic period. It is expected that educators in the pandemic period will continue to use the assignment method to ensure that facets of children's religious and moral beliefs evolve with time.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic that attacked the Indonesian state, all agencies were temporarily closed, especially educational institutions. This policy was carried out with the aim of not spreading the spread of Covid-19 among students. Even so, each agency still assigns tasks for students to do at home. This stipulation was implemented by the Taruna Al-Qur'an Putri Islamic Boarding School, which compiled an online-based tahfidz program as the duty of students while at home during this pandemic. However, in its implementation, not all santriwati perform these tasks optimally, thus making researchers want to know more about the implementation of the online-based tahfidz program. This study uses a qualitative research method with 7 respondents as research objects. The results of this study indicate that each program assigned to santriwati from the Islamic boarding school whether ziyadah, muroja'ah, and the increment of juz can be carried out properly and effectively from both the musyrifah and santriwati, although sometimes there are obstacles and obstacles in its implementation, however, not a barrier. Because every problem will and solution.

Abstract

Training is needed to ensure that teachers acquire the knowledge necessary to teach problem-solving skills. Furthermore, a specifically designed training material such as a module is especially needed when teachers work in remote areas with fewer resources. Meanwhile, six educational problem-solving skills development needs among teachers in rural Indonesian elementary schools were identified: teacher mentoring, self-actualization, competency, creativity, problem-solving, and independence. A training module was designed based on the needs which were assessed using the CIPS model. The study aimed to investigate the effects of the CIPS-based Training Module on the professionalism of elementary school teachers. In addition, the training module consists of five (5) stages, which include pre-entering, plan, setting, action, and evaluation. The quasi-experimental research was conducted on 63 elementary teachers from Nunukan and Sebatik Island, North Kalimantan, Indonesia, assigned randomly to either an experiment or a control group. Before the training, a pre-test was conducted, followed by training using the module for the experiment groups, and no training for the control group. Furthermore, a post-test was conducted in both groups to identify the effectiveness of the training module. The independent sample t-test showed that the experimental group obtained a higher mean score than the control group. In conclusion, the CIPS-based Training Module effectively develops professionalism in teaching problem-solving skills among the experimental group's elementary teachers. Meanwhile, the study implies that rural elementary teachers need to be prepared to teach problem-solving skills.

Abstract

This project aimed to find and evaluate successful ways to teach financial literacy to Indonesian children in their early years. The main problem in this study was children's lack of knowledge about basic economic concepts, which can impact their future ability to manage resources. This study used the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method throughout the study's planning, implementation, and reporting stages. To collect literature sources four databases were used: Google Scholar, Open Knowledge, Sage, and Science Direct. The literature used as research material was selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria to improve the quality and relevance of the evidence used in the study, ensuring that the findings obtained were robust and credible. The findings of this study indicate that the use of direct strategies, the use of educational media and games, the habit of saving, and a combination of strategies have helped improve children’s understanding of financial literacy. Collaboration between teachers and parents is essential to teach financial literacy. The findings of this study highlight the importance of incorporating financial literacy into the Indonesian education curriculum, with the help of appropriate media and child-based learning, as well as the need for strong collaboration between schools and parents to create a conducive environment for the development of children’s financial skills.
