Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand the teacher recruitment process at SMPN 47 Surabaya and its impact on improving the quality of education at SMPN 47 Surabaya. This type of research is using descriptive qualitative research, which is a research procedure carried out by producing descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from someone who is observed. Based on the results of this study, it shows that the implementation of the recruitment of teaching staff (teachers) in SMPN 47 Surabaya is carried out or submitted to the education office, where each level of education such as elementary, junior high, state high school will be submitted to the education office. Recruitment of teaching staff (Teachers) before being submitted to the education office, the first stage carried out by the school is to analyze the needs required. After analyzing the school will report the shortage of educators to the education office, and then the education office will conduct selections such as PNS tests, or PPPK tests. The test aims to get employees who have certain technical competencies and are professionally certified in order to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Organizational culture is a unified system of values that is adhered to and used as guidelines by an organization. Very organizational culture important for achieving organizational effectiveness. Cultural implementation School organization is not much different from the implementation of culture organization in general. Apart from functioning as a school identity what differentiates one school from another, Organizational culture can become a standard of behavior for school citizens influencing the school community to take action experienced. Development of a strong, intimate, conducive organizational culture, and being responsible will provide various benefits for all school residents. This article aims to analyze how students are towards the development of organizational culture in the SMAN environment 13 Surabaya. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. The data collection technique used is interviews and questionnaires. The research results show that the development of organizational culture is very influential and important towards SMAN 13 Surabaya, this is proven by culture The organization influences the final results expected by the parties' school as well as being the foundation for implementing internal activities school organization.

Abstract

Teacher performance evaluation is a process of assessment and supervision carried out systematically to obtain real results and will be used as a reference for further performance development. Teacher performance evaluation is very important to determine the quality of a teacher in doing his job. By knowing the weaknesses or shortcomings of a teacher, the principal can plan a training program that is in accordance with the quality of the teacher. Good teacher quality is very important in the quality of learning, both to achieve learning goals at school and student activeness in the learning process. This article aims to analyze how to evaluate teacher performance at SDN Lidah Wetan IV Surabaya. The method used in this research is qualitative method. Data collection techniques in the research are observation and interview. The subjects in this study were principals, teachers, and students. The results showed that the Principal of SDN Lidah Wetan IV Surabaya is quite good in evaluating teacher performance, this is evidenced by the principal in providing guidance, supervision, and motivation to teachers so that teacher performance can experience good development.

Abstract

Studi ini mengeksplorasi pola rekrutmen guru yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di MA Bilingual Muslimat NU Sidoarjo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan kepala sekolah dan guru terhadap proses rekrutmen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola rekrutmen guru terfokus pada beberapa aspek yang dapat memberikan dampak positif terhadap kualitas pembelajaran di MA Bilingual Muslimat NU Sidoarjo. Pertama, penerimaan guru yang memiliki pemahaman nilai-nilai keagamaan, kedua kompetensi akademik dan profesionalisme untuk memastikan bahwa guru memiliki kemampuan yang memadai untuk mengajar secara efektif dalam lingkungan bilingual, dan kesesuaian terhadap visi dan misi sekolah yang berkontribusi positif terhadap kualitas pembelajaran. kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pola rekrutmen memiliki peran penting dalam memastikan keberhasilan institusi Pendidikan dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang berkualitas.

Abstract

Hidden curriculum mencakup nilai-nilai, norma, dan perilaku yang tidak secara terang terangan diajarkan, tetapi secara tidak langsung dipahami dan diadopsi oleh individu melalui pengalaman alamiah atau pengalaman sehari-hari di lingkungan pendidikan. Salah satu perwujudan dari hidden curriculum ialah budaya 5S (senyum, salam, sapa, sopan dan santun). Implementasi hidden curriculum melalui budaya 5S dapat membantu dalam perkembangan karakter siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bagaimana guru berperan dalam implementasi hidden curriculum mengenai 5S di kelas serta implementasi 5S oleh siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode pengambilan data menggunakan wawancara kepada beberapa guru kelas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, guru berperan sangat signifikan terhadap penerapan hidden curriculum. Guru di SDN Lidah Wetan II telah menerapkan hidden curriculum terutama yang berkaitan dengan 5S dengan baik, hal ini dapat dilihat dari Sebagian besar siswa telah menerapkan budaya 5S di sekolah. Hidden curriculum memiliki peran penting terhadap perkembangan karakter siswa di SDN Lidah Wetan II, yaitu membimbing siswa, meningkatkan motivasi siswa, menjadikan perilaku siswa lebih baik, sopan santun, disiplin, serta berkarakter.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas manajemen konflik di SMPN 40 Surabaya dan juga bagaimana pengimplementasian kurikulum merdeka di sekolah itu. Fokus penelitian yaitu pada manajemen konflik dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Tujuannya adalah untuk menganalisis keterbatasan sumber daya di sekolah, pembagian dan pelaksanaan struktur organisasi dalam pengimplementasian kurikulum merdeka, pelaksanaan komunikasi antar guru dalam pengimplementasian kurikulum merdeka dan juga perbedaan pendirian dan perasaan dalam unit kerja atau bagian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan melakukan wawancara pada waka kurikulum. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu hasil observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi.  Hasil penelitian ini ditekankan pada dua fokus penelitian, yaitu manajemen konflik dan implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Pertama, manajemen konflik yang meliputi keterbatasan sumber daya, struktur organisasi, komunikasi, dan perbedaan individu. Yang kedua, implemenrasi kurikulum merdeka, yang mencangkup komunikasi, sumber daya, disposisi, struktur, dan birokrasi. Dalam aspek manajemen konflik ini mengkaji tentang pengalokasian sumber daya menurut prioritas kebutuhan tiap unit kerja atau bagian, persaingan dalam meningkatkan status dalam unit kerja, dan juga ketersediaan infoemasi. Pada aspek implementasi kurikulum merdeka, mengkaji tentang koordinasi dalam pemerintah, sekolah, dan stakeholder dalam pengimplementasian kurikulum.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the teacher certification policy aimed at improving educational standards at SMP Negeri 47 in Surabaya, with a focus on how it affects teacher’s competence, welfare, and skills. The certification policy is hypothesized to play a pivotal role in elevating the quality of education offered. Employing a qualitative approach, this study examines the implementation and outcomes of the policy since its introduction. Data was collected through various qualitative methodologies and analyzed to ascertain the policy’s contribution to enhancing teacher welfare, competence, and professionalism. The findings reveal that the teacher certification policy at SMPN 47 Surabaya has been significantly instrumental in advancing educational quality aligning with the policy’s prime objectives. These insights hold wide implications for educational policy optimization at a broader level.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Changes in the fulfillment of student competencies in the study program are increasingly massive. Universities are required to be able to be more adaptive and flexible in responding to any changes quickly as well as the ability to detect changes that occur early. This study aims to analyse the transformation of student competencies based on the entrepreneurship curriculum which is discussed in the context of independent learning. The method used in this study was a literature review of 133 articles published in Scopus-indexed journals. This research also used the background of the education management study program at the State University of Surabaya. The results of the study found that to realize the entrepreneurship curriculum in the study program, several aspects are needed, namely: managerial, organizational, 21st-century skills, and the learning process.Keywords: student competence, independent learning, entrepreneurship-based curriculum

Abstract

Penggajian guru dan tenaga kependidikan merupakan bagian penting dari sistem Pendidikan karena guru dan tenaga kependidikan merupakan aset utama dalam menyediakan Pendidikan yang berkualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sistem pengelolaan penggajian guru dan tenaga kependidikan di SD Negeri Babat Jerawat II. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif.  Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapatkan hasil bahwa penggajian pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan di SD Negeri Babat Jerawat II berasal dari dinas pendidik dan nominalnya pun telah ditentukan oleh dinas Pendidikan, gaji yang diberikan pihak dinas Pendidikan kepada pihak sekolah akan langsung diberikan kepada para pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, sehingga penggajian di SD Negeri Babat Jerawat II tidak memiliki masalah. Ada beberapa peraturan dan kebijakan yang mempengaruhi penggajian guru dan tenaga kependidikan, seperti Upah Minimum Regional (UMR), Peraturan Daerah, dan Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan. Penggajian guru dan tenaga kependidikan di sekolah dikelola oleh beberapa orang salah satunya adalah bendahara sekolah yang merupakan orang yang bertanggung jawab atas pengelolaan keuangan sekolah, termasuk penggajian guru dan tenaga pendidik.

Abstract

This research is research that aims to develop a Community-Based School Management Model in the Digital Age. This study aims to develop a community participation model in education involving people or groups both at the implementation planning, evaluation, utilization of results, accountability and development in the education sector. In management science, the term participation is defined as a process of mental and emotional involvement in an activity. This study used research and development method to develop a well-adapted model to be integrated in primary schools for Indonesian context. A special model is needed in community-based school management to face challenges in the digital era. This model answers the gaps that occur related to school needs and community involvement in it as an effort to improve the quality of education, focusing on social demands to education output and outcome. Previously, it can be inferred from some studies that community-based management were not integrated optimally while stakeholders perceived school as a formal institutions rather than an important institution for culture, economics, knowledge to be developed. The newest model of school management was integrated on SDS Plus Al-Qodiri. It resulted on the Community-Based School Management Model in the Digital Age can be used as a guide for schools, not only partner schools but other schools with the same focus, to continue to adapt and respond to current challenges, especially in involving the community in the advancement of education.
