Abstract

The development of the world's sharia economy in the last few decades has not only made halal products an actual trend-send discourse as well as a policy reference in the local and even global sphere at this time. Indonesia is a country that has the largest Muslim population in the world, with statistics on the number of Indonesian Muslim population reaching 231.06 million people or representing 11.92% of the world's Muslim population. Estimated total spending on domestic halal products is considered to continue to grow to reach around USD 2.2 trillion. Based on the 2019/2020 State of Global Islamic Economy Report, Indonesia is now ranked 1st in the world as a consumer of halal food, 2nd in the world as a consumer of halal cosmetics, and 4th in the world as a consumer of halal medicines. To make Indonesia the mecca of world halal products, of course, one must be able to change consumptive habits to be productive. Therefore, to change these habits, several strategic actions are needed; namely promotion of halal products, education of halal products and no less important is the government improving the quality of halal product certification.

Of course, the references that are the main references in this research are all references related to the legal basis of syar'i, the positive legal basis of the halal industry in Indonesia. The conclusion shows that the Islamic Ummah has a position as a mediating group (ummatan wasathan), neither too right nor too left, fair and balanced according to the word of Allah SWT., in QS. Al-Baqarah: 143. Therefore, Allah SWT., that the Muslim Ummah is the best people born for humans, according to what Allah SWT said, in QS. Ali Imran: 110. Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The halal industry is one of the strategic sectors that has great potential in driving national economic growth, especially in countries with a Muslim majority population such as Indonesia. This article examines the urgency of developing the halal industry as an integral part of an inclusive and sustainable sharia economic ecosystem. The main focus is on the challenges and opportunities for developing the halal industry in Indonesia, including the role of regulation, business actor awareness, and halal certification mechanisms which are key elements in ensuring consumer trust. Through a descriptive qualitative approach and current literature studies, it was found that halal certification not only functions as a guarantee of product halalness, but also as a strategy to increase the competitiveness of MSMEs in the global market. The main obstacles in developing the halal industry include low halal literacy among MSMEs, limited access to information and certification costs, and suboptimal synergy between stakeholders. Therefore, an integrated policy strategy is needed between the government, certification institutions, and the education sector to encourage the birth of a highly competitive and global halal industry ecosystem. This research contributes to efforts to formulate data-based policies in the development of the national halal industry.

The literature review uses data from trusted sources to be the research method of the technique used. The result of this study is that the halal industry in Indonesia began with research on food and beverage products found to contain pork extracts in 1988, so the government acted to form the MUI Food, Drug and Cosmetics Assessment Institute (LLPOM) officially in 1989 as the first halal inspection agency in Indonesia. The findings of this study suggest that stakeholders involved in the growth of the halal industry in Indonesia should support the halal industry roadmap. The halal industry business is developing in several sectors, including manufacturing, infrastructure, services, human resources, and halal certification standards. To overcome the demands of the growing halal industry in Indonesia, the government, business companies, and academics must collaborate and synergize to achieve the goal of making Indonesia a global halal center. Abstract

After the death of Rasulullah saw, the country's economic system, especially in economic matters, was taken over by the khulafaul Rashidun. There were four leading figures in this phase, namely Abu Bakar Assiddiq, Umar bin Khattab, Uthman bin Affan, and Ali bin Abi Talib. The caliphs carried out their government system based on the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad based on the Qur'an and Sunnah. The purpose of this study was to find out the policies among the caliphs in managing the country's economic problems, as well as the relevance of the economic system during the Khulafaul Rashidun era to modern times. This research is a "field research" using qualitative methods. The results of the study show that there are differences between the friends in implementing various economic policies both in terms of state revenues and the method of channeling or distributing state assets to solve economic problems. One of the influencing factors was the existence of new problems arising from the conditions, both in terms of revenue, regional and political, which were faced by each caliph in his government. Until the modern era, the Islamic economy continues to adapt to the conditions of the times so that the Islamic economy continues to exist in the future and become a compatible economic system.
