Abstract

The oral tradition of Jambi customary proverbs embodies patterns of customary law that reflect character values relevant to the Pancasila Student Profile. This study aims to describe the patterns of customary law (communality, deliberation/consensus, traditional, visual) in Jambi customary proverbs and link them to the six dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile. Employing a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and content analysis, this research analyzes 12 documented examples of Jambi seloko/proverbs. Data were collected through document studies and analyzed using a modified Mayring procedure. Data validity was ensured through source and theory triangulation. The findings indicate that: (1) the communality pattern is closely related to the dimensions of mutual cooperation and independence; (2) the deliberation/consensus pattern supports the dimensions of critical reasoning, mutual cooperation, and global diversity; (3) the traditional pattern bolsters the dimensions of faith, piety, noble character, and global diversity; (4) the visual pattern strengthens the dimensions of creativity and critical reasoning. These findings demonstrate that Jambi customary proverbs can be integrated into learning and Profil Pelajar Pancasila strengthening projects (P5) through the design of intracurricular, cocurricular activities, and projects that utilize proverbs as teaching materials and media for value reflection. Research implications include the development of teaching materials, culturally grounded P5 project designs, and teacher training in utilizing oral traditions for character education based on the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Islamic marketing represents an ethical–spiritual paradigm that situates marketing activities within a framework of moral accountability grounded in the principles of tawhid, al-‘adl (justice), sidq (honesty), amanah (trustworthiness), and ihsan (benevolence). Unlike conventional marketing approaches that prioritize profit maximization, Islamic marketing emphasizes a balanced integration of economic objectives, spiritual values, and social welfare. This study aims to analyze the application of Islamic marketing principles within Indonesia’s rapidly expanding cellular industry, characterized by increasing internet penetration and digital transformation. Implementing content analysis with systematic literature review methodology, this study synthesizes scholarly works on Islamic marketing, fiqh muamalah, digital marketing, and telecommunications. The findings indicate that Islamic marketing principles can enhance consumer trust, promote pricing transparency, ensure halal and secure digital services, and strengthen corporate responsibility in consumer data protection. Nevertheless, a persistent gap remains between Sharia based normative ideals and operational practices, as evidenced by unequal service accessibility, opaque pricing structures, and the limited internalization of ethical values in marketing strategies. This study concludes that the consistent integration of Islamic marketing values not only reinforces ethical compliance but also functions as a strategic resource for achieving sustainable competitive advantage, contributing to the development of a just, inclusive, and morally accountable digital marketplace.

Abstract

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze market efficiency and the transmission of micro-volatility between the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) and the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) using high-frequency data from September 22 to October 20, 2025. The primary objective is to evaluate the volatility of returns, co-movement, microstructure volatility clustering, and the buffering effect of Sharia-compliant indices. Methods: The study uses logarithmic continuous returns to assess return volatility and co-movement. Descriptive statistics are employed to examine market fluctuations, while the volatility clustering effect and rapid shock transmission between the two indices are analyzed. Pre-test and post-test evaluations, along with observational analysis, are used to examine the relationship and behavior of these indices during the study period. Results: The findings reveal that both IHSG and JII exhibit significant short-term fluctuations, indicative of typical micro-volatility in emerging markets. However, JII shows relatively lower volatility and fewer extreme negative returns, suggesting that Sharia screening provides a stabilizing effect on the market. The study also identifies a strong co-movement between the two indices, highlighting high short-term integration despite brief divergences due to differences in index structure and liquidity profiles. Additionally, the analysis confirms volatility clustering, with calm periods followed by sharp movements, and rapid shock transmission between the indices.

Abstract

This article aims to examine consumption behavior from an Islamic economic perspective, focusing on the principle of maslahah as the normative basis for consumption. The research method used is qualitative research through a literature study approach by examining books, scientific journals, and relevant literature related to consumption, Islamic economics, and maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah. The results of the study show that consumption in Islamic economics is not only directed at fulfilling material needs, but must also meet the criteria of maslahah, namely being carried out proportionally, avoiding harm, being oriented towards collective welfare, and being in harmony with the objectives of sharia in protecting religion, life, reason, offspring, and property. However, in empirical reality, the consumption behavior of Muslim communities is still largely influenced by global consumerist culture and social status symbols, resulting in a gap between normative principles and actual practice. Therefore, strengthening the internalization of maslahah values in consumption behavior is important in order to achieve fair and sustainable welfare. This study is not supported by empirical data or field surveys to directly test the level of internalization of the principle of maslahah in the real consumption patterns of Muslim communities. Further empirical research is needed to quantitatively measure the normative-practical gap. In addition, internalizing these values requires concrete efforts through educational curricula, Islamic financial literacy campaigns, and synergistic public policies that encourage moderate and equitable consumption behavior.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a model for Islamic securities crowdfunding in Indonesia. Respondents consisted of 9 experts, including regulators, SCF operators, academics, MSMEs, and representatives of the Islamic fintech association, selected through purposive sampling. This research uses the Analytical Network Process (ANP) approach model. The results indicated that the problems encountered in the development of Islamic crowdfunding securities comprise five key aspects: literacy, public trust, management, regulatory, and technological. The level of agreement (rater agreement) is W=0.3753086, indicating 37.5% sufficient agreement in determining the problem priority issues among informants. The most prioritized Islamic crowdfunding securities development solution is the literacy solution, followed by the public trust solution, the technology solution, the management solution, and finally the regulatory solution. The informants’ agreement level is W = 0.2938272. This means that the level of agreement among informants on the priority order of Islamic SCF development solutions is 29.3%, indicating a sufficient level of agreement. Alternative strategies for developing the most prioritized Islamic crowdfunding securities include increasing literacy, building ecosystems, securing government support, improving technology, and implementing business sustainability strategies. The level of agreement (rater agreement) is W = 0.3101343, indicating that the priority order of Islamic SCF development strategies is 31% agreement, which is a sufficient level.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose: This study examines the role of hoarding (iḥtikār) and food distribution inequality in driving food inflation in Indonesia from the perspective of Islamic microeconomics. Design/methodology/approach: A qualitative approach is employed through a systematic literature review of classical fiqh sources, contemporary Islamic economic theory, national macroeconomic data, and policy-related reports. Findings: The study finds that hoarding contributes directly to food inflation, social welfare deterioration, and distributive injustice. Islamic economic principles prohibit such practices due to their inconsistency with distributive justice (‘adl), public welfare (maṣlaḥah), and the objectives of Sharīʿah (maqāṣid al-sharīʿah). Research limitations/implications: The study is limited to secondary data and conceptual analysis without empirical field investigation. Practical implications: State intervention, price controls, and Sharīʿah-based redistributive instruments such as zakat and infaq are justified to correct market failures. Originality/value: This paper integrates Islamic microeconomic principles into contemporary food inflation discourse. Paper type: Literature review Keywords: distributive justice, food distribution, hoarding, inflation, iḥtikār, Islamic microeconomics

Abstract

Purpose: This research examines the effect of the agricultural and trade sectors on regional economic growth in Deli Serdang Regency from 2015 to 2024, using Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) data.Design/Methodology/Approach: A quantitative approach was applied using multiple linear regression models to analyze the relationship between the agricultural and trade sectors and regional economic growth. Data from the Deli Serdang Central Statistics Agency (BPS) were utilized, and the analysis was conducted with a focus on determining the contributions of these sectors to GRDP.Findings: The results indicate that both the agricultural and trade sectors have a significant simultaneous effect on GRDP, with an R² value of 0.892, meaning 89.2% of the variation in GRDP is explained by the contributions of both sectors. The agricultural sector showed a statistically significant positive contribution, while the trade sector, though positive, did not have a statistically significant impact.Practical Implications: The findings highlight the importance of sectoral synergy in driving inclusive and sustainable regional development. Effective strategies to integrate the agricultural and trade sectors can promote equitable economic growth.Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature on regional economic growth by providing empirical evidence of the simultaneous contributions of the agricultural and trade sectors, underpinned by Islamic economic principles, particularly the protection of wealth, distributive justice, and the pursuit of collective welfare.
