Abstract

Objectives: This study explores the determinants of Business Competitiveness (BC) among female entrepreneurs in coastal areas by examining the influence of Entrepreneurial Skills (ES), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Product Diversification (PD). The research also identifies structural challenges including limited market access, technological constraints, and reliance on seasonal or resource-dependent industries.Methodology: The study adopts a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modelling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to analyse the relationships between ES, CRM, PD, and BC. The analysis includes coefficients and p-values to validate the significance of each relationship. Data were gathered from 120 female entrepreneurs in coastal regions using structured questionnaires that captured responses related to each construct. The model also includes an assessment of the mediating effect of PD on the relationship between ES, CRM, and BC.Finding: The findings indicate that both ES and CRM positively and significantly affect BC, both directly and through the mediating influence of PD. ES enhances adaptive decision-making and market-oriented innovation, while CRM strengthens customer relationships and retention. PD enables firms to broaden offerings, thereby improving responsiveness to consumer demands and mitigating market uncertainty. These results align with Doktoralina et al., who emphasised the role of digital transformation and innovation in increasing coastal SME resilience. Conclusion: ES and CRM contribute substantially to business competitiveness, with PD serving as a mediating mechanism that enhances their effects. Strengthening entrepreneurial capacity, fostering customer-focused strategies, and applying product diversification practices are necessary steps for improving the competitiveness of women-led businesses in coastal areas.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the influence of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) and Human Resource Information Technology (HRIT) on productivity and organizational culture in travel bureaus, including their direct and indirect effects. Research Methodology: This study adopts a quantitative approach using survey data from travel bureau employees. Analysis is conducted with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using structured questionnaires and statistical software to test hypotheses. Results: GHRM and HRIT positively influence productivity but do not significantly impact organizational culture. Productivity positively influences organizational culture, while GHRM and HRIT have no significant indirect effects on it through productivity. Conclusions: GHRM and HRIT enhance productivity in travel bureaus but do not influence organizational culture. However, productivity significantly impacts organizational culture, fostering a positive work environment. Limitations: This study is limited to travel bureaus, restricting generalizability. Self-reported data may introduce bias, and its cross-sectional design prevents long-term causal inferences. Contribution: This study expands the literature on GHRM, HRIT, and organizational performance in travel bureaus, offering practical insights for boosting productivity. It also emphasizes the need for further research on factors shaping organizational culture.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline, physical work environment, and professionalism on employee performance at SMP N XXX Jakarta. Employee performance is one of the important factors in achieving organizational goals, so it is necessary to identify factors that can affect it. In this study, work discipline, physical work environment, and professionalism were selected as independent variables that are thought to play a significant role in employee performance. The research method used is quantitative with an associative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to employees of SMPN XXX Jakarta, with a sample of 33 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression tests to see the partial effect of each independent variable on employee performance. The results showed that work discipline has a significant effect on employee performance, with a calculated t value of 3.505 greater than t table 2.019 and a significant value of 0.02 smaller than 0.05. The physical work environment also has a significant effect on employee performance, with a t value of 6.729 greater than t table 2.019 and a significant value of 0.01 smaller than 0.05. In contrast, professionalism does not have a significant effect on employee performance, with a calculated t value of 1.095 smaller than the t table 2.019 and a significant value of 0.283 greater than 0.05. The conclusion of this study is that work discipline and physical work environment are factors that have a significant effect on employee performance at SMPN XXX Jakarta, while professionalism has no significant effect. Therefore, management needs to focus on increasing work discipline and improving the physical work environment to improve employee performance optimally. This study also provides suggestions for future researchers to explore other variables that may affect employee performance.

Abstract

The shift toward hybrid work systems following the pandemic has introduced new challenges in human resource management, particularly concerning employee job satisfaction. This study aims to examine the influence of physical work environment, psychological work environment, work-life balance, and internal communication on employee job satisfaction. A quantitative research approach was used through a survey of 200 employees working in hybrid settings. The research instrument consisted of a Likert-scale questionnaire, and data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS. The results indicate that all four independent variables have a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction, with the psychological work environment having the strongest effect. These findings highlight the importance of creating physically and psychologically supportive work environments, maintaining work-life balance, and fostering effective internal communication to enhance job satisfaction in hybrid work contexts.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of green marketing orientation on Generation Z consumers’ behavior in sustainable fashion, focusing on the mediating roles of green brand awareness and psychological satisfaction. As environmental consciousness rises, Generation Z emerges as a pivotal segment with strong sustainable consumption values. A quantitative research method was applied using an online survey of 210 Gen Z respondents in Indonesia, the most of whom were female university students (19–23 years), familiar with sustainable fashion via digital platforms. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS. The results indicate that green marketing orientation significantly and positively influences both green brand awareness and psychological satisfaction. These two variables, in turn, have a significant positive effect on sustainable consumer behavior. Furthermore, both mediators fully mediate the relationship between green marketing orientation and Gen Z consumer behavior. these findings highlight the importance of emotional connection and brand perception in eco-conscious fashion consumption. This research contributes to the green marketing literature and offers practical insights for sustainable fashion brands in developing targeted strategies aligned with Gen Z's values and psychological motivations.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of compensation and leadership style on employee performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable, among digital workers in Indonesian tech startups. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 200 respondents through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that compensation has both direct and indirect effects on performance, while leadership style affects performance only indirectly through job satisfaction. Job satisfaction plays a significant mediating role, reflecting how psychological well-being connects compensation and leadership with performance outcomes. The model demonstrates strong explanatory power (R² = 0.643) and predictive relevance (Q² = 0.457), confirming the robustness of the proposed framework. These findings highlight the importance of integrating structural, relational, and psychological factors to improve performance in dynamic digital work environments.
