Abstract

Background. This research aims to analyze and conclude information about Theo Van Leeuwen's exclusion and inclusion strategies in the East Kalimantan Tribune news when stopping the ladyboy event in Samarinda City. Purpose. Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in Indonesia are vulnerable to discrimination such as inequality in education, employment, health, social assistance, and freedom of expression or public space in society. Tribun Kaltim is a mass media that reported the termination of the ladyboy event in Samarinda. Method. This research method uses critical discourse analysis modeled by Theo Van Leeuwen to find out how one party or group is featured or omitted in the text. The research found 5 exclusion data and 32 inclusion data. Results. The results are in accordance with Theo Van Leeuwen's theory that a certain group or social actor can be eliminated and even marginalized in the text or discourse. The results also reinforce the concept of the hierarchy of media content influence in mass communication studies, which understands how news texts by certain media agencies can be influenced by internal and external factors, such as the background of journalists, media reader segmentation, media organization policies, and external news sources from media organizations. Conclusion. From the research results, it can be concluded that there are 5 exclusion data and 32 inclusion data.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis apakah penerapan metode Computer Assisted Test (CAT) dalam seleksi CASN Di Lingkungan Pemerintah Kota Bontang telah efektif dan faktor-faktor penghambat dan upaya mengatasi hambatan efektifitas penerapan metode tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Fokus pada penelitian ini yaitu efektivitas penerapan metode Computer Assisted Test (CAT) dalam seleksi Calon Aparatur Sipil Negara Di Lingkungan Pemerintah Kota Bontang dimana penerapan metode tersebut diharapkan dapat mencapai tujuan yang diinginkan secara efektif. Data yang diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, yang kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif melalui tahap pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektifitas penerapan metode Computer Assisted Test (CAT) dalam seleksi Calon Aparatur Sipil Negara di lingkungan Pemerintah Kota Bontang diukur dengan menggunakan teori Duncan melalui : (a) pencapaian tujuan, (b) integrasi dan (c) adaptasi. dalam hal ini panitia seleksi daerah termasuk Badan Kepegawaian dan Pengembangan SDM Kota Bontang menerapkan  metode Computer Assisted Test (CAT) dalam seleksi Calon Aparatur Sipil Negara sejak tahun 2014 dan telah ditemukan beberapa faktor penghambat efektifitas namun Pemerintah Kota Bontang telah melakukan berbagai upaya dalam mengatasi hambatan tersebut sehingga seleksi dapat berjalan secara efektif. Kata Kunci : Computer Assisted Test (CAT), Seleksi CASN, Efektifitas

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach in enhancing Indonesian EFL secondary learners’ narrative writing skills and the perception of Indonesian EFL secondary schools toward applying the CTL approach. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with fifty-two eleventh-grade students as participants. The participants were divided into two groups; An experimental group received the CTL approach, and a control group received the conventional way. This study utilized a pre-posttest and perceptional questionnaire. Nonparametric tests (i.e., Mann-Whitney U test and Wilcoxon test) were run to analyze the data in this study. The Man-Whitney U test indicated a significant difference between the mean score for the experimental group with the CTL approach and the control group without the CTL approach (9.86 > 10.12). Meanwhile, the Wilcoxon test illustrated that the leading score of the pre-test (10.14) and the post-test (16.05) in the experimental group differ significantly. Implementation of the CTL approach through its components positively contributes to teaching narrative writing skills. Meanwhile, the perceptional questionnaires showed that the students' experiment group perceived the implementation of the CTL Approach positively. This study results render teachers’ insight into a practical approach to teaching writing to be able to teach narrative writing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini meneliti representasi bullying dalam film animasi Jepang 'A Silent Voice.' Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan analisis semiotika, khususnya pendekatan Roland Barthes, untuk mengkaji representasi film tentang bullying. Pendahuluan memfokuskan prevalensi penindasan di masyarakat kontemporer, menekankan dampaknya terhadap kesehatan fisik dan mental korban. Studi ini mengacu pada penelitian sebelumnya yang menunjukkan bahwa film dapat menjadi media yang efektif dalam mengatasi dan mengurangi perilaku bullying. Bagian metodologi menguraikan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis datanya meliputi analisis semiotika dengan menggunakan kerangka Roland Barthes, dengan fokus pada aspek denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos. Hasil dan pembahasan memperlihatkan adegan-adegan dari film, menganalisis representasi bullying secara verbal, fisik, dan mental. Setiap adegan didekonstruksi melalui lensa denotatif dan konotatif, mengungkap lapisan makna dan mitos yang mendasari perilaku tersebut. Kesimpulannya mengumpulkan temuan-temuan, menekankan potensi film untuk merepresentasikan bullying melalui pendekatan representasi reflektif, intensional, dan konstruksionis, sesuai dengan teori representasi Stuart Hall. Studi ini membantu untuk memahami bagaimana film, seperti 'A Silent Voice,' dapat menggambarkan dan mengatasi masalah sosial seperti bullying.

Abstract

Supervision is an important activity for managers which can influence improving the quality of nursing services, even health services in hospitals. One part of the implementation of supervision is the completeness of nursing care documentation which contains medical diagnoses, preparing treatment plans, carrying out assessments and evaluations that are prepared systematically, validly, and are morally and legally accountable. The research aims to analyze nursing supervision with complete documentation of nursing care. Quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The population was 32 samples in the emergency room using a total sampling technique so the total sample was 32 people. The research results showed that the highest number of nursing supervision was good supervision, with 28 people with complete nursing documentation in the complete category, 21 people, pValue = 0.009 <0.05. Conclusion: There is nursing supervision with complete documentation of nursing care in the emergency room at RSUD dr. M.M. Dunda Limboto, Gorontalo Regency. It is hoped that the suggestions will become input for Dr. RSUD. M.M. Dunda Limboto in the quality of nursing services, especially in the completeness of nursing care documentation.

Abstract

Hipertensi penyebab utama kematian di seluruh dunia yang disebut sebagai the silent killer sehingga mengharuskan penderita hipertensi menjalani pengobatan dalam jangka waktu yang lama untuk mengontrol salah satu gejalanya yaitu peningkatan tekanan darah dan semakin banyaknya obat yang dikonsumsi ini menyebabkan penderita tersebut dapat mengalami masalah mental, dalam hal ini kecemasan. Masalah kecemasan pada penderita hipertensi apabila tidak segera diatasi dapat menyebabkan seseorang berisiko mengalami gangguan jiwa akibat penyakit kronis tersebut. Untuk itu, dibutuhkan penanganan yang dapat mengatasi masalah kecemasan pada penderita hipertensi dengan terapi murottal Al-Qur’an yang juga dapat menurunkan tekanan darah penderita hiperternsi.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh murottal Al-Qur’an terhadap kecemasan penderita hipertensi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Telaga Biru. Desain penelitian pra-eksperimental dengan one group pre post test design, populasi seluruh penderita hipertensi sejumlah 58 orang, jumlah sampel 25 orang menggunakan tekhnik sampling purposive sampling dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata tingkat kecemasan sebelum murottal Al-Qur’an adalah 13,09 dengan standar deviasi 1,305 dan rata-rata tingkat kecemasan setelah murottal Al-Qur’an adalah 12,20 dengan standar deviasi 1,201. Rata-rata tekanan darah sebelum murottal Al-Qur’an adalah 147/99 mmHg dengan standar deviasi 5,424 dan rata-rata tekanan darah setelah murottal Al-Qur’an adalah 137/95 mmHg dengan standar deviasi 4,566, serta diperoleh p-value 0,000 (<α 0,05). Dapat disimpulkan ada pengaruh murottal Al-Qur’an terhadap kecemasan penderita hipertensi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Telaga Biru. Kata Kunci: Kecemasan; Hipertensi; Murottal Al-Qur’an

Abstract

"Pelukku Untuk Pelikmu" is a musical work from a musician and book writer, Fiersa Besari. It was released as the soundtrack of the movie "Imperfect: Career, Love, & Scales" in 2019. Carrying the theme of self-confidence from one's insecure nature, this song is also intended for those who experience downturns and experience mental decline due to various problems in life so that they need positive encouragement to rise from these conditions. Therefore, indicators of social support are closely related and can be measured using sign analysis proposed by Ferdinand de Saussure. In his theory, Saussure describes five language concepts in the linguistic system that can be a knife to dissect the meaning of a text or sentence. Meanwhile, social support is divided into four types, namely emotional support, information support, instrumental/real support, and friendship support. The results of the meaning in the song lyrics will then classify each sentence in it into one of these types of support. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative by analyzing the relationship between Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic theory and the concept of social support and then drawing conclusions based on the results of the analysis.

Abstract

Integration efforts generally have the main goal of increasing the production and productivity of both cattle and rice plants. Increased production and productivity will be in line with the increase in the income of farmers and will ensure the sustainability of the agribusiness system activities. The main objective of implementing integration is to increase cattle and rice plant production. The increase in production will correspond to an increase in the income of farmers and breeders, ensuring the sustainability of the agribusiness system. The purpose of this quantitative research was to evaluate the income of the cattle business integrated with rice farming. The method used was a survey with Stratified Random Sampling technique and the location chosen was Semangga because it is one of the districts in Merauke Regency with the highest rice production where the majority of the farmers integrate cattle and rice farming businesses. In this research, the population consisted of farmers as well as breeders who work together. Primary and secondary data were employed with income analysis followed by R/C Ratio analysis. In conclusion, the cattle business integrated with rice farming has the potential to be a commercial business because it can increase farmers' income by IDR 34,434,752 within one year with an R/C of 1.90.Keywords: cattle, income, integration, rice business

Abstract

The birth of a child causes a fundamental challenge to the existing structure of family interaction regarding the care of the newborn. When a baby is first born, the mother may feel confused about how to care for him. Even routine tasks such as changing diapers and bathing can make a mother anxious, especially if she has never spent time on things related to baby care before. To develop independent personal abilities requires self-confidence and a sense of calm as an experienced parent for first-time mothers (primiparous). The research objective to be achieved is to analyze the factors that influence the independence of primiparous mothers in caring for babies at PMB Devi Andriani, Lhokseumawe City. This type of research uses a descriptive analytical survey with a cross sectional design. The population in this study was 56 people, while the sample was 56 Primipara mothers, using total sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. Based on the results of the chi-square test, it is known that the independence of primiparous mothers is related to maternal knowledge p = 0.000, culture = 0.002, trust p = 0.001, maternal age p = 0.001, family support p = 0.003, meaning there is a relationship between maternal knowledge, culture and trust. Maternal age, and family support with the independence of primiparous mothers. From the results of the multivariate analysis, it is known that the variable that has the most dominant influence in this study is the Mother's Knowledge variable with an OR value of 21,483. There is the influence of maternal knowledge, culture, beliefs, maternal age and family support and the most influential variable is maternal knowledge. The suggestion is that it is hoped that this research can be used as reference material for hospitals, especially to increase the competency of midwives so that they can maximize mothers' knowledge during postpartum visits so that they can independently care for their babies in the future.

Abstract

Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ( PKM) melaakukan pendampingan adalah tentang Gerakan Infaq Beras ( GIB) yang menjadi salah satu prograam pengurus Masjid Besar Merdeka Wonomulyo Jenis pengabdian ini adalah pmelakukan pendampingan manajemen terhadap program Gerakan Infaq Beras (GIB) yang menjadi program erja pengrus masjid besar merdeka perode tahun 2020 – 2023. Tujuan pendampingan ini adalah membantu peengelola untuk memenej kegiatan ini seperti manajemen donatur manajemen distribusi manajemen pengelola dan lainnya yang terkait dengan program ini Waktu pendampingan ini adalah selama satu bulan dengan berbagai tahapan kegiatan sampai pada operasional gerakan Infaq Beras Hasil Pengabdian ini berupa terlaksana program ini dan dapat melakukan penggalangan donatus dan pendistribusian beras kepada yang berhak dan juga hasil jumlah donatur dalam bentuk tabel hasil pendistribusian dalam bentu tabel dan hasil pencatatan penge;lolaaan juga dalam bentu tabel.
