Abstract

This research aims to develop learning media based on Augmented Reality (AR) which helps students improve their reading skills in historical sources. This research uses the 4D research and development (R&D) method which consists of four stages, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. The sample of research subjects consisted of 3 material, media and language validator experts, 2 teachers, 60 and 120 class X students who assessed the practicality and effectiveness of the product being developed. Data was collected through expert validation, interviews with teachers, teacher and student response tests, and tests on students. while the N-Gain test is to evaluate media effectiveness. Expert validation results show that the criteria are very valid with an average score of 3.78. The teacher and student response test showed an average score of 3.90, which shows that AR media is practically used for learning history. The N-Gain Test score of 75% shows that students' ability to read historical sources is increasing. Therefore, using AR to develop historical source reading skills is feasible, practical, and useful.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the process of inheriting the cultural values of lontiok houses to the younger generation of Kampar people specifically around the lontiok house environment. The research method is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using observation and interviews. The analysis is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study, namely, between traditional houses and cultural values can not be separated from the role of humans as cultural beings who inherit the culture. Inheritance of cultural values is done in two ways, namely through the tradition of hereditary from the ninik mamak to the younger generation and through tourism awareness groups (Pok derwis). education in schools is very important. This is done to preserve the culture so that it does not disappear in the midst of an increasingly developed and developing era.

Abstract

History represents a set of facts from the past events that were real and genuinely occurred in their time. Historical sources are crucial for reconstructing and generalizing history so that it can be comprehended by students. However, the limited availability of historical sources poses a significant challenge for students when learning history. This limitation can be addressed by utilizing museum websites as learning resources. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of museum websites as a learning resource for history education. Research and Development (R&D) methodology was employed in this study. The research sample consisted of 180 high school students selected from a population of 564 students in Pekanbaru City using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out through observations, expert validation questionnaires, product trial questionnaires, and historical thinking skills tests. The collected data were analyzed quantitatively using t-tests to assess the impact of museum websites as a learning resource for students. The results indicated that the developed museum website was valid and reliable, and the t-test analysis showed a significant impact of the museum website as a history learning resource, with a significance value of 0.000 (less than 0.05).

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to give an ability for the Teacher of Middle and High Schools in Kecamatan Tanah Putih, Riau Province to understand and be able to apply the HOTS evaluation method at their respective schools and students. The methods used are lectures, questions and answers, trials/simulations, and workshop. The results of this training activity that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the objectives of the activity have been successfully achieved. This is evidenced by the excellent enthusiasm of the trainees during the discussion process and the results of the assignments given to the presenters to the trainees, indicating an increase in the understanding and ability of teachers to integrate HOTS into learning outcomes test instrument.

Abstract

The Article Writing and Publication Study course is one of the elective courses taken by History Education students at the University of Riau. This course aims to provide students with competencies in terms of mastering the theory and practice of writing scientific articles and their publications. This includes theoretical understanding, publication analysis, writing skills, publication strategies, mastery of technology, and application of ethics in writing scientific papers. The low understanding of citations and reference list management is the main problem in compiling this guidebook. The purpose of making this guidebook is as a medium to facilitate students in working on reports, articles, and even theses that must use Mendeley in their citation management. Determination of issues is obtained from the results of discussions with the Head of Department, Study Program Coordinator, and Lecturers. Determination of priority issues uses the USG method (Urgency, Seriousness, Growth). The result of this activity is the formation of a draft of the Mendeley Usage Guidebook. The book consists of 6 main topics, namely Mendeley History, Mendeley installation, connecting Mendeley to Microsoft Word, adding references, adding citations, and adding Bibliography (bibliography). As a complement, a guidebook is also attached in the form of an e-Book that is directly connected to the GDrive link, so that students can download the guidebook in the form of a QR Code.

Abstract

This research examines the role of Tenas Effendy in the development of Malay culture in Riau Province from 1952 to 2015. The background of the study highlights the current era, where globalization has led to the erosion of cultural heritage. Culture is a legacy from the ancestors of a community. The development, preservation, and sustainability of Malay culture in Riau are closely linked to the contributions of Malay cultural figures, particularly Tenas Effendy. The objectives of this research are: (1) To understand the life history of Tenas Effendy; (2) To explore his role in the development of Malay culture in Riau; and (3) To examine the implementation of his role in the present-day development of Malay culture in Riau. The research employs a historical method. The findings reveal Tenas Effendy's significant contributions to the development of Malay culture in Riau, especially in preserving the original culture of the Petalangan tribe and the Malay teachings. It can be concluded that Tenas Effendy plays an important role in the development of Malay culture in Riau Province.

Abstract

Belajar sejarah adalah belajar mengingat peristiwa masa lalu. Ditingkat persekolahan,pembelajaran sejarah selama ini lebih dominan pada peristiwa yang bersifat nasional maupuninternasional saja. Perlu adanya integrasi materi sejarah lokal pada pelajaran sejarah sebagaisumber belajar, karena sejarah lokal merupakan bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari sejarahnasional. Tujuan penulisan artikel adalah untuk menganalisis integrasi modul sejarah lokalpada materi pelajaran sejarah sebagai sumber belajar. Teknik pengumpulan datamenggunakan kajian kepustakaan dengan mengumpulkan banyak artikel dan temuanpenelitian yang berkaitan dengan topik penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwaintegrasi materi sejarah lokal pada pelajaran sejarah sebagai sumber belajar mampumemberikan pengalaman kepada peserta didik dalam mengenang masa lalu wilayahnya danmemproyeksikan peluang serta tantangan dimasa yang akan datang. Pengalaman danpemahaman tersebut diyakini akan mampu menciptakan rasa bangga, memupuk rasakebangsaan dan kepedulian peserta didik terhadap wilayahnya serta dapat menumbuhkansemangat belajar terutama belajar sejarah.

Abstract

LKPD can help prepare students for school exams or daily tests. The focus of development is on history subjects for class XII (twelve) students. The LKPD contains material and practice questions. The method used in this research is a research and development method using a software development approach in this case is android-based software. The development of android-based LKPD for History Subject Class XII uses the ADDIE model, namely Analysis (analysis), Design (design), Development (development), Implementation (implementation), and Evaluation (evaluation). The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis, namely by calculating the percentage value of the validation results. The results of the research and discussion are; The assessment from material experts regarding android-based LKPD for Class XII History Subjects obtained an average value of all indicators of 4.20. Based on this assessment, the teaching materials are declared Eligible to use; Assessments from media experts regarding android-based LKPD for Class XII History Subjects obtained an average score of 4.5 in the "Very Eligible" category; and the trial was conducted at SMAN 1 Rumbio Jaya in class XII with 30 students. Students' assessment of the Android-based LKPD obtained an average value of all indicators of 4.0. Based on these data, the Android-based LKPD was declared "Eligible" to use.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tengku Said Noerdin merupakan salah satu tokoh di bidang militer yang bertugas dalam mempertahankan kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia di Pelalawan (1945-1950). Tengku Said Noerdin lahir di Pelalawan pada tanggal 10 Agustus 1921 dari orang tua yang bernama Tengku Said Oesman dan Tengku Syarifah Khatijah. Tengku Said Noerdin adalah anak kedua dari enam bersaudara yang memiliki peran dalam mempertahankan kemerdekaan di Pelalawan (1945-1950). Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) untuk mengetahui latar belakang kehidupan Tengku Said Noerdin, (2) untuk mengetahui peranan Tengku Said Noerdin dalam mempertahankan kemerdekaan di Pelalawan (1945-1950), (3) untuk mengetahui akhir perjuangan Tengku Said Noerdin dalam mempertahankan kemerdekaan di Pelalawan (1945-1950). Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode Kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan 4 komponen analisis yaitu penyusunan data, klasifikasi data, pengelolahan data, dan menganalisis serta menyimpulkan hasilnya. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah peranan Tengku Said Noerdin dalam mempertahankan kemerdekaan di Pelalawan yang pada awalnya hanya anak keturunan raja kerajaan Pelalawan yang bercita cita untuk menjadi seorang tentara dan akhirnya bisa menjadi kurir informasi untuk kemerdekaan Indonesia   ke Pelalawaan menuntunnya untuk menjadi Tentara Keamanan Rakyat atau TKR hingga ditunjuk oleh Hasan Basri untuk mengikuti sekolah di Resimen IV setelah Tengku Said Noerdin Menyelesaikan sekolahnya di Resimen IV Tengku Said Noerdin pun dipercaya untuk memegang kompi KPG IV Pelalawan sebagai Komandan Sektor pada saat itu. Pada 1 September 1977 Tengku Said Noerdin resmi diberikan hak pensiunnya beliau juga bergabung sebagai anggota Dewan Paripurna Daerah Legiun Veteran Republik Indonesia.

Abstract

Transmigration is one of the ways taken by the government to overcome population imbalances and equality caused by geographical, social, economic and political factors. Transmigration development is an integral part of national and regional development as an effort to accelerate development, especially in areas that are still isolated or underdeveloped, which can also improve the welfare of transmigrants and the surrounding community. The transmigration program for the Kuantan Singingi area began in 1980 with a focus on placement in the Sentajo Raya, Logas Tanah Darat, Singingi Hilir, and Singingi sub-districts, besides that seen from the data from 2000 to 2018 Singingi Hilir Sub-district experienced rapid development in terms of plantations, economy and infrastructure facilities when compared to the three sub-districts above. The research objectives are 1).To find out the background and process of transmigration in Suka Damai Village, Singingi Hilir District, Kuantan Singigi Regency. 2).To find out the socio-economic development of the transmigration community in Suka Damai Village, Singingi Hilir District, Kuantan Singingi Regency 1983-2020. 3). To find out the role of the government in encouraging the socio-economic development of the transmigration community in Suka Damai Village, Singingi Hilir District, Kuantan Singingi Regency 1983-2020. This research uses historical research methods. In its development, the socio-economy of the transmigration community has experienced better development. The socio-economic development of the transmigration community will not succeed without the role of the government. The Transmigration Office what was done in the early days of transmigration was to take care of all matters relating to transmigration, starting from the place, facilities, food and clothing, and all activities related to the community.
